Our apartment located on the Champs Elysees of Montmarte, Avenue Junot, in a typical 1910 Parisian building. This classically furnished apartment provides the perfect setting for your visit to Paris. Our French interior designer, Frederique, has ensured that the charming original features including original wood floors, two fireplaces, moldings, and large windows are combined with modern conveniences such as a fully-equipped gourmet kitchen and most recent electronics. The layout of this 560 square foot (52m2) apartment is perfect for up to four guests. The sofa in the living room folds out into a full-bed with high-quality inner spring mattress (as comfortable as a normal bed). The bedroom and living room are completely separated from each other and all have free access to the bathroom.
When you arrive at 40 Avenue Junot you will enter through a grand marble lobby and continue through a bright courtyard which provides added serenity for your stay in Paris. As you walk through the apartment’s front door, you will be greeted by a large hallway decorated with original paintings and Parisian prints. The bedroom and living room are both off this hallway. At the end of the hallway, a secretaire desk with laptop computer provides the perfect location to work in tranquility or to keep in touch with family and friends through the high-speed internet connection.
We are sure that after a busy day in Paris you will have a restful night of sleep in fine cotton sheets, fluffy duvet and comfortable pillows on the high quality American Simmons queen-size bed. The spacious and luminous bedroom also has an original marble fireplace and an antique armoire to provide you with plenty of space for clothes and other belongings. On either side of the bed, the lovely bedside tables have their own reading lamps so you can curl up with a good book, before falling asleep. After long days of enjoying the sights of Paris, the living room offers the perfect setting for a quiet gourmet dinner, watching a movie, or planning for your next day of sight seeing. The living room includes a table with seating for up to six people, a flat screen television, a multi-region DVD player and stereo with CD player. For a quiet night at home we have provided a range of DVDs, CDs and books. The dresser in the living room provides all guests with plenty of storage area for their belongings.
The shower room, accessible from the bedroom, has been elaborately decorated with rich, red walls, a luminous, gold ceiling, and glass mosaic tiles.
A gourmet kitchen provides the perfect setting and equipment to prepare an exquisite dinner or an ideal location for those who just want to enjoy a morning cup of coffee and croissant. The kitchen includes a full range of new, high quality, built-in appliances including refrigerator/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, espresso/cappuccino coffee maker, four-burner gas stove, and oven. We hope that you will take advantage of the beautiful dishes, professional cookware, and cooking utensils to enjoy a wonderful meal at home.
This is a NON- Smoking apartment.
Location: we recommended exploring the wonderful markets, including numerous bakeries, butchers, fruit and vegetable sellers, which surround the apartment. Nearby shops, theatres, charming restaurants, and the tiny vineyards of Montmartre, (the only ones left in Paris) provide plenty to feast your eyes and stomach on. Just up your street, you can also visit Villa Leandre - home to the most elegant houses in the area.
When you are ready to leave Montmarte the 12 metro line and 80 and 95 buses, each just a few steps outside the front door will take you directly to the key sites of Paris. Musee d’Orsay, Concorde and its fantastic gardens, and St-Germain-des-Pres are just a few stops away on the metro. The 80 bus will bring you directly to the Champs Elysees, Eiffel Tower and the famous designers located on Avenue Montaigne. On the 95 bus you can quickly reach the opera and the Louvre. |
