Wonderful Family Vacation

We had 3 separate households and had plenty of room. In our group we had 2- 10month olds, a 4 year old, a 5 year old, a 9 yr old , 11 year old and 14 year old. They all had so much fun. Loved the pool, hot tub , especially the game room and the closeness to Dollywood and Splash Country.. the beds are awesome, I have only one compliant and that is , I loved the bed but getting on it is so hard when you are short, next time I will bring a step stool. Loved , Loved the whole week.

Our family and friends enjoyed a wonderful weekend at the Grand Getaway cabin just outside of Sevierville, TN. The cabin offers great amenities and quick access to shopping, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We will most certainly be back.

Thanks to Butch and Pam for providing such a lovely home away from home. It is conveniently located - just a few minutes from Dollywood and Pigeon Forge. The cabin was very clean and the kitchen was well equipped. Our grandchildren had great fun with the pool table,air hockey, and arcade game. It was also great to be able to walk to the resort pool. We did get to enjoy a family hike at Laurel Falls - just a short ride into Gatlinburg and well worth it! We would highly recommend Grand Getaway and hope to make it back soon!

A wonderful home from home

We had a wonderful trip, this is a great place to stay! What a great house, it looks just like the photographs. This house is beautifully maintained, and decorated. The kitchen has everything you need, we ate in several nights and had everything we needed to grill or cook. The decks are covered which is nice, we didn't use the sauna, but the hot tub was lovely after a day out hiking and horse riding. The game room was lots of fun for everyone, especially the air hockey. I would recommend this property to everyone! This cabin is just outside Pigeon Forge, near the entrance to Dollywood, in a neighborhood surrounded by trees, but close to everything. The homeowners were wonderful to work with.

We had an excellent, relaxing weekend at GG. The owners cover every detail to make stays as relaxing as possible, including the new hot tub and the sauna. Everything was just like we read in the description. We got snowed in and were unable to go anywhere, which was just what we needed! Thanks to Butch and Pam for putting together a 'grand' getaway spot for us for years to come.

My family stayed here for a week and what a treat!! It was what they said and more! We spent a very relaxing week and truly enjoyed ourselves. It was very clean and beautifully decorated. There was everything you could want to do there without even leaving the cabin not to mention all of the things in Pigeon Forge. Everyone loved the game room, the hot tub and the tv's. Our first impression was "WOW"! We would definately stay here again. Butch is a very nice person to deal with. Thank you for making our christmas present to our family one of the best ever!!

Thanksgiving Week at Grand Getaway

Our week long stay was amazing at Grand Getaway. The cabin is beautifully decorated and you have great views of the mountains all around. Our 8 year old grandson even told us "we picked the right cabin to stay in." You won't get a much better recommendation than that one. He and his brother enjoyed the game room every day. The kitchen (when I spent a lot of time) is well furnished and allowed me to cook our Thanksgiving dinner with ease. I felt at home all over and sometimes easily forgot that I wasn't at home. We would definitely spend Thanksgiving week there again next year if that is what the family wants to do. The cabin was clean and had all the comforts of home. W.I. & Bonnette Dawson

Magnificent! Truly a Grand Getaway!

Beautiful and rustic on the outside, thoughtfully well-planned and superbly appointed and executed on the inside. Everything about the description of the Grand Getaway; location, layout and amenities was just as described...only better. This vacation home looks brand new. The exterior is very well maintained and getting in and out of the cabin is very easy to do. The interior, well, it is simply magnificent! This home was obviously designed from square one to completion with the single goal to make your vacation stay a luxurious pleasure...and so easy. Grand Getaway exceeded our expectations. You have to experience it to really appreciate it's beauty. Words and pictures just can't do it justice. Butch and Pam are very responsive and they go above and beyond to make your stay a pleasure. We will definitely be back!

The cabin and the location were beautiful! It was very clean, beautifully furnished, well-equipped, and well-maintained. I would recommend this property to friends and relatives with children over the age of five as the stairs were quite a challenge for our two grandchildren under the age of two and their parents. We would love to come back again soon!!!

My girlfriends and I had a "Grand Getaway". The owner readily answered any questions I had prior to booking. The cabin was just as described. We try to do this each year but this was the best ever and it was due primarily to the location and excellent amenities of this cabin

Butch and Pam have a very beautiful place. Their sense of decorating and style is superb. Unlike some of the other cabins we have stayed at in the Pigeon Forge area, this one is very well maintained and has some of the nicest furniture, bedding and appliances. The game room was a big hit with the kids and the men enjoyed watching football and the race on the nice large tvs. It is very convenient to Dollywood and Splash Country and the outlet malls are quick to get to if you use the side roads instead of the main parkway. We will definitely stay here again!

My wife and I planned a trip to the Smokies about 6 months ago and was given information about the Hidden Springs Resort from a fellow Biker Brother. We reserved two cabins for our riding family and one was called the Grand Getaway. This cabin was absolutely beautiful inside and out. Our Canadian friends stayed in this cabin but we spent most of our nights hanging out with them in the basement enjoying all the games. The wife and I loved it so much we will be planning a trip back down in the Smokies and hopefully reserving this cabin in the near future. Our purpose for this trip was for all of our family to go to Dollywood together. The cabin is only minutes from Dollywood - you can hear the train whistle in a distance from the porch of the cabin! It is so easy to get to everything. What my husband really liked about it - we didn't have to climb miles of winding roads for seclusion and privacy and we had a level parking place (lol)! The cabin is beautiful and our kids and grandkids were very pleased with all that the cabin offered for our enjoyment and relaxation! Thanks for your hospitality in such a lovely cabin! We had a awesome time at the cabin. It is a place were you have all you need to enjoy your time to relax. The cabin is located just outside of Pigeon Forge, it was nice to just jump in the truck an be where you wanted to be quickly. The kids enjoyed the game room and pool table, some days we had to go check on them to make sure they were still there. Thanks Butch and Pam for creating a place for people to enjoy. It warms my heart that you share a beautiful place with others. Looking forward to our next trip with you guys.

Could not ask for a nicer cabin to stay in when visiting Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge, TN! Spacious cabin, beautifully decorated, clean and well kept, close to all the amenities and a lovely setting too with a nice flat parking spot! Our kids loved the games downstairs and we all enjoyed the hot tub and the sauna. Owners were wonderful to deal with through the entire process and very responsive to any questions or concerns we had. Highly Recommend Grand Getaway!

Best Cabin in the Smokies

Our trip was truly a "Grand Getaway". We have been travelling to the Pigeon Forge area for almost 25 years. We have stayed in many hotels, condos, and cabins. This cabin was, by far, the best we have stayed in. It is exceptionally clean, well equipped, and organized. Butch and Pam were more than helpful. We had plenty of room to gather together for a movie or games, but also to have our own space. Love the location! Just minutes from area attractions. We are already planning our next trip and look forward to spending it at Grand Getaway.

This was the most relaxing trip that we have had in a long time. I used the cabin for my son that was in college to bring some of his friends to just relax and it was wonderful. The kitchen was well stocked with all the pots and pans and utensils that you would ever need. We most deffinately will be back. Thanks for sharing your home with us.

What can I say but WOW! This cabin is so relaxing, beautiful, clean and extremely well cared for! We felt right at home the moment we arrived. The kitchen was well stocked and labeled so you knew exactly where to return items. Hot tub was very relaxing as well as the sauna. Our family had a blast playing pool, darts, foosball and the arcade games. Beds were comfy! Loved the large master bath jet tub - was able to sit back, relax and either watch tv or read a book! The nearby pool is a short walk away (there is a somewhat steep hill to walk down and back up) but the pool was very large! Kids had fun swimming (great that the pool was heated)! Wifi is slow but we were excited to even have internet in the mountains. Any issues were addressed immediately. Owners and maintenance employees were so very kind!! We visited during the off peak season, so the area was calm and quiet. Everyone we met in the area was so pleasant and welcoming. We highly recommend this cabin. Thank you so very much for allowing our family to stay in your beautiful home!

Ours was truly a "Grand Getaway"! This cabin is beautifully appointed and well laid out. The photos don't do it justice.We found this cabin very clean and the owners have the kitchen well set up for anything you might need for cooking or baking. We had 6 adults and a 4 yr old enjoying our stay here. This cabin is in a great location situated close to many great restaurants, Dollywood, Splash Country, and lots of outlet shops. We would recommend this cabin to anyone who wants to have a lovely place to stay with many possibilities for a great time away from home.

Butch and Pam have made a true haven in the lovely Smokey Mountains. The cabin is beautifully decorated and so wonderfully appointed. They have truly thought of everything that could make a vacation special. My seven children were thrilled with the game room downstairs and it made a nice respite for them when we returned from the area attractions in the heat of the day. My husband and I enjoyed the hot tub and sauna and the kitchen has everything we needed. The home is immaculately clean and I was so impressed by Butch being so nice as to call and make sure everything was to our liking. It was very considerate. I highly recommend Grand Getaway and I hope that we can one day get back for another lovely vacation in the Smokies.

Simply a beautiful cabin with absolutly amazing detail in decoration. Everything about the cabin was perfect. All of us had a great time while we were there. Area attractions are a constant but if you have time and a 4x4 there are a lot of areas you can access that most tourist will never see. Some amazing views. If you don't have a 4x4 a car should be able to access the top of the mountain of where the cabin is located. Some great views from the top. I'm sure this will change when they build the rest of the development, but for now get up there and enjoy. We recently stayed at Grand Getaway for 6 nights. It was in a prime location.....close enough to all the attractions, but still off the beaten path, so it was nice and quiet too! The kiddos LOVED the game room, and the cabin is just a short walk to the resort's pool. Butch and Pam were excellent to deal with, and everything went very smoothly! We look forward to returning to TN in the future, and will definately try to stay at the Grand Getaway again!

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Thank you so much for letting us use your cabin. It is far better than any cabin we have stayed in before. We will be back. The game room saved us lots of money than going to the Arcades. Again, thanks so much. The cabin was beautiful.

Great Time at Grand Getaway!!

Our family enjoyed this lovely cabin with tons of amenities to keep us entertained. The cabin was very clean and the beds very comfortable. We had 6 children in our group and the play room was excellent for them. We also had a very short walk to the indoor pool. The adults enjoyed the hot tub and sauna. We had a little trouble with the hot tub the first day not heating up to the temperature that we wanted and one of the dvd players would not work properly. I called the owners first thing, and they took care of the minor problems immediately. Had everything working within a few hours. We appreciated thier promptness. Thank you for all that you did for my family and I to enjoy our vacation. We made memories that we will treasure at your cabin and the beautiful Smokey Mountains.

Owner response: We're glad these guests enjoyed their stay. The hot tub not heated properly was because this check-in occurred in the afternoon following a check-out that morning. We drain, clean and refill the hot tub after each guest check-out. It simply had not had time to heat to the proper temperature. As for the DVD player, apparently it had been damaged by the previous guests. Once we knew of the problem, we addressed it and our maintenance folks responded promptly.

It is exactly how they describe it. We had a great time! It is clean, spacious and in a convenient location. Butch was very hospitable and I would go back next spring break! If only Butch could control the weather.
