Located beach front on beautiful Longboat Key, this resort offers all the amenities of a large hotel with the privacy and seclusion that has Silver Sands guests returning each year. Relax on our private beach, walk on our soft white sand, take a dip in our heated beachside pool, or enjoy a complimentary chaise lounge and beach umbrella while breathing in the fresh salt-water air. Practice your golf game on our putting green or relax on our beautiful beach with your favorite novel. Wireless Internet access is available in the privacy of your individual unit, at the garden area or on the pool deck.

Limited Membership Privileges: Guests of Silver Sands #233 will have temporary membership privileges at Cedars Tennis Resort located at 645 Cedars Court on Longboat Key. The limited temporary membership allows the guest access to fully-lit Har-Tru tennis and pickleball courts (after 1 p.m. daily and subject to availability), community bicycles and Jr. Olympic heated swimming pool. The guest will also have access to the community fitness center.

Accommodations: Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort is a relaxing retreat located directly on the Gulf of Mexico on the northern-end of Longboat Key. Choose from our various unit styles including hotel rooms, one- and two-bedroom garden view units, and one- and two-bedroom beach front units.

Disappointed this trip

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I sent this email three days ago after checking out and have not received a response: I just checked out of your Silver Sands #233 rental on Longboat Key. This is our third year staying at this property but found this year to be disappointing, especially given that we paid more than previous years. We do enjoy the convenience and amenities of the property, they bring us back each year.This year there were no umbrellas available at the beach and there didn’t appear to be any in use. Perhaps they need to be replaced. We also had a leak in our unit. Although the front staff called a plumber and it was fixed that day it was still an inconvenience. The water coming from the ceiling smelt off urine and the plumber confirmed the pipe leaking was from the upstairs toilet. We had to throw away food and other personal items due to this. I write this in hopes that these issues will be resolved for future renters. The ceiling was patched up and looked just as it did when we arrived. With rising costs, renters expect to receive the best experience possible.
