Owner info
Year Purchased: 2005
About the owner: My husband and I live in the Bay Area most of the time. We spend some weekends in Mt. Ranch and are eager move back to the mountains full time in a few years. I am a professional artist and writer, recently retired from Columbia College Art Dept. We recently traveled throughout France for a month on motorcycle. It was fabulous. It was my second visit, we hope to spend more time there. We like to travel the US by motorcycle as well and will be going up the US East Coast into the Carolinas next year. We like to fly small planes, sport class, hope to get a few more flights in before Fall. We love to meet people from other countries and have many friends from all over the globe.
Why the Owner Chose Mountain Ranch:
We chose to turn one of our mountain homes into a vacation rental to offer people the unique experience of an artist's retreat that is truly a relaxing experience while on vacation.
The Unique Benefits at this Chateau / Country House:
Waking up to the multitude of birds during "The Golden Hour", having a cup of hot tea or breakfast on the deck while watching the deer come in to visit. Taking a hot tub or sauna on the deck while looking up at the stars in peace and quiet, while being surrounded by original artwork that inspires the soul. Or just curling up with a great book from the library with a warm fire after a day of skiing or antiquing in the gold country setting.
