You are our house guest at Mission Manor on the 2nd floor flat of an enchanting, San Francisco townhome, ideally located in the vibrant Mission Dolores area, between the Castro, the Mission District, and Noe Valley. We are just steps away from beautiful Dolores Park, Mission Dolores Church and many of the city’s best restaurants, bars, and nightclubs.

Within two or three blocks, you can take a street car, BART, Muni, bus or Zip Car to explore the city and visit other well-known destinations such as the Ferry Building, Union Square, ATT Park, the Alcatraz tour boats and Fishermen’s Wharf, or intersect with San Francisco’s historic cable car lines.

Built in 1910, Mission Manor retains many original details, including fireplaces, pocket doors, vaulted ceilings, and the original claw foot bathtub. Natural light dazzles throughout.

You'll have the best sleep of your life on any one of the new mattresses in the four bedrooms. Two have California King size beds and two have Queen size beds, one of them a Tempurpedic brand mattress. Bedding includes 600 thread count sheets, down or down-alternative pillows, velour blankets and lofty comforters.

The living room can be closed off at night to become a fifth bedroom as needed. There, the Italian lounge sofa folds back to become a very comfortable double with memory foam mattress topper.

Amenities in each room include: Wi-Fi Internet access, HD-TV, DVD player and a clock radio/CD player. DVD movie library and CD music library available on request. Also provided: luxurious 100% Turkish cotton towels, hairdryers, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and body lotion.

The fully equipped eat-in kitchen seats eight comfortably. Kitchen is equipped with stainless steel dishwasher, a high-end GE Profile side- by-side fridge/freezer, Cuisinart toaster, coffee maker and blender, pots & pans, dishes. To begin your stay, we generously stock the fridge with fresh fruits, juice, milk, 7 grain bread, English muffins, butter, and jam. Our cupboards offer a selection of hot and cold cereals; black, green and herbal teas; coffee, and hot chocolate. If you plan to cook, a full array of spices, plus oils and vinegar, are supplied to help get you started.

You can easily pick up your favorite treats, local organic produce, wine, cheese and luscious take-out at the Bi-Rite gourmet grocery around the block. The Mission bodegas, Safeway, and Mollie Stones Market are all only a few short blocks away.

Down the back stairs in the basement, the laundry room with large capacity washer dryer is available for your use. Detergent and fabric softener dryer sheets are provided.

Mission Manor is ideally located to take advantage of all public transportation options. Please note: We don't recommend bringing a car into the city if you can avoid it. Street parking is scarce and usually has a strictly enforced 2 hour parking limit between the hours of 8:00am-9:00pm. Garage parking is expensive, especially in congested areas. You are best off walking & using our very good public transportation system to get around the city. Mission Manor does have space for one car in the on-premise garage, available 1st come/1st serve for $25/n extra. (Size restrictions apply).

Mission Manor is located in the epicenter of the Mission District's foodie paradise. For lunch or dinner, take a stroll through the neighborhood to discover the famed “Gourmet Ghetto” of 18th Street. Try the perfect croissants or the legendary bread pudding at Tartine Bakery, (rated 28 by Zagat’s). Enjoy a casual breakfast or lunch at the Dolores Park Café or dine at the renowned Delfina Restaurant and it's charming pizzeria next door. En route home, stop by for some of the city’s best ice cream at the Bi-Rite Creamery or take home local organic produce, wine, cheese and an enticing selection of take-out food from the Bi-Rite grocery store. Or walk another block to try some of the many hip and excellent restaurants along the Valencia Corridor. There are also coffee shops, book shops, art galleries, bars and clubs of every variety. You will never be bored or go hungry in this neighborhood!

This was an excellent stay. Planned a birthday party for my 25 year old and it could not have turned out better. Mission Manor was exactly as advertised but better! The rooms and home were very clean and there was obvious attention to every detail. With ages from 24 to 62 I was a little unsure if this was the right fit,,,,I was moren than pleased and happy! The owner was not only helpful with our weekend plans, she even had a huge Birthday Cake in the kitchen when we arrived!!! I would highly recommend this property to any one. it is easy to access public transportation, restaurants abound and there is more to see than you have time for. I look forward to going back to this wonderful residence. It was also very affordable and so lovely. We could not have asked for more! It was so nice to come home in the afternoon /evening and gather in the kitchen or living room and just be girls! Loved it!

I would recommend Mission Manor to any San Fransisco visitor! The rooms are gorgeous, the house is lovely, and the property manager is super nice. My co-workers and I stayed here for a recent work trip, and we had a great time. The kitchen is stocked with delicious food for breakfast/snacking and the location is close to a lot of shops and amazing restaurants. If I HAD to list a drawback, it's that the nearest BART stop has a lot of homeless people, but hey, that just comes with the territory of San Fransisco. Overall, we loved Mission Manor!

Had a fantastic experience with Mission Manor- excellent description, Karen and Amy were a complete delight, the house is beautifully furnished and impeccably kept, and the stocked kitchen was incredible. The location is perfect, we all slept like logs, and people that came to visit were floored at how nice the apartment was. Would definitely stay here again- one of the best rental experiences I've had.

Had a great time while in San Francisco and much of it was due to having such a great house and wonderful property manager. She greeted us warmly upon our arrival and gave great recommendations about our planned itinerary. Her recommendations were excellent and very helpful. The home was very nice and easily accommodated our party of eight from Michigan. We are all in our late 50's and have discriminating tastes. The house was neat and clean. The well stocked kitchen easily accommodated all of us. The house was very close to local public transportation (BART and streetcar) and never required us to have a car or take a taxi. Overall, the experience was wonderful and I would recommend this property to anyone planning a trip to San Francisco. We would definitely return to this property.

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

The owner went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. Plenty of room for our family of 6. Great amenanties, full kitchen, washer & dryer, free internet. The location is within walking distance from all forms of public transportation. We will definitely come calling once again.

We thoroughly enjoyed the experience, the accommodations, and the incredible thoughtfulness in providing every possible comfort. We were even suprised to find that a "kind spirit" had tidied up the kitchen and waste without our seeing anyone tangible. Amy Morris' introduction was very thorough, intelligent and detailed. The rooms, furnishings, snacks and provisions, kitchen and TVs and living room and accommodations were first rate in every possible way. Our group of seven IMMEDIATELY began referring to returning "home" with each excursion. We heartily recommend and intend to use Mission Manor again, even for individual business travel and one room whenever coming to the area.

We were greeted by the owner as the close family. Welcome was accompanied by the most delicious treats and fruits. The apartment far exceeded our expectations. Having car parked in the garage was another great luxury. My son who is 6 had a great time exploring state of the art new playground at the nearby park and had daily treat with thoughtfully stored for our convenience in the freezer ice cream. We had wonderful time and would stay at the same location with no hesitations.

I just returned from a lovely stay at Mission Manor where I hostessed 8 of my girlfriends for a weekend getaway. The property is SO well taken care of and Amy and Karen really go out of their way to make you feel welcomed. The kitchen is ridiculously well stocked and a vacationer staying here while hoping to enjoy the San Francisco area could easily get away with breakfast and lunch "on the house." Amy and Karen were easy to get ahold of and responsive to any and all questions from the time of first inquiry up through the date of our stay. I would absolutely recommend this property to anyone traveling to the San Francisco area. I think it's important to note what totally fabulous neighborhood the property is situated within and how easy it is to enjoy everything San Francisco has to offer with just a short walk or Bart ride. I will say that for a large group, the setup of the house reflects its historic building date and that the common areas are not excessively large as many more contemporary buildings tend to have. While the kitchen is clean with excellent modern appliances, it is set up for light, vacationer food prep, not gourmet cooking. I was making a big meal for everyone Friday night and Amy was happy to send me a list of the kitchen inventory which was really helpful. If you are a smaller party planning to rent just one of the rooms, I highly recommend the Edwardian Suite, where my sister and I slept. SO gorgeous with lots of natural light and a super comfy mattress!

We greatly loved our stay in this beautifully appointed, luxury townhome -- we found it as neat and clean as we have ever seen a furnished home. Karen and Amy have thought of everything, stocking even the cupboards and refrigerator with snacks and healthy foods, coffee, assorted teas, honey, sugar, bread, eggs, cereal, yogurt -- what more could one want? The beds, four of them, were all in pristene condition, two of them especially designed with their sheets and coverings to be hypoallergenic, that is, more friendly for allergy sufferers. We rented the entire flat, so could not comment on having just one or two of the four bedrooms, but all of our family, seven of us, really appreciated the spaciousness and access to television, DVD, and Wi-Fi. We will make it our goal to come back again; it was fabulous and three days was not enough time to see and do it all! By the way, there was a reasonable deposit required for possible damages, etc., but it was immediately refunded within 24 hours of our departure!
