We have stayed in the Turret House twice (apt. 4 and 5). They are both wonderful apartments. Our son lives a few blocks away so it is convenient for us, but it would be great even if we didn't have him nearby! The apts are exceedingly clean and have everything you need to make meals in and hang out and watch the NCAA basketball tourney. Of course, you want to eat out a lot in Seattle too and this is a great neighborhood for dining and walking. Lots of stairs if that is an issue but the views out the windows are so worth it!! We will be back....this is really the only place we will stay in Seattle (we've stayed in several hotels and they just don't compare). Thank you William for your hospitality.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Our stay at the Turret House was great. We were provided with plenty of details to find it and check in, the place was spotless when we got there, it was very well appointed, and everything was in good working order. The neighborhood has plenty of restaurants and shops and is conveniently located for public transportation. We paid for the off street parking, which is a must in the neighborhood. The unit comfortably slept 4 adults. All in all, we will likely stay there again the next time we are in Seattle.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My daughter and I spent the last few days of our holiday, after touring Vancouver and the Rockies, in Apt 5 of the Turret House and found it to be a perfect and relaxing place to end on. The location was really good and we walked down to the watefront and Pike Place market easily although we did catch a bus back up! On our last day our flight back to the UK was not until evening so we were most grateful to be allowed a 'late check-out'. It enabled us to walk to Volunteer Park and have lunch on the way back - well worth the trip to see some lovely old houses en route. Seattle was an interesting city to visit and we were lucky with beautiful weather for all four days of our stay. The Duck Tour was another highlight - well worth it to see another side of the city. We never managed to go up the Space Needle as the queues were too long so that was a bit disappointing but overall we thoroughly enjoyed our four day stay in Seattle at the Turret House.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We came to Seattle for a week and were so happy with the accommodations. It was clean and had everything we needed with 2 little kids. There are many parks and restaurants within walking distance. We rented a car which i would recommend for the sight seeing. We were very impressed with the house and loved the location. The owner was very easy to get a hold of when we needed more towels. Overall I will stay there again on our next vacation because we have family in the area.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This suite was pretty much as described on the site. We loved the living room in the turret and it was great to have a full kitchen plus laundry facilities. The place was clean and well maintained and it was suitable for our party of two couples plus an infant. There was a pretty roomy closet attached to one of the rooms, which we used to put our child's play yard in so she had her own little "room" (we left the door open so that there was enough air circulation for her). Being on the top floor, it got pretty hot in the afternoons on the days it was sunny. Thankfully, they had fans plus air conditioning for each room. There was a small mix-up regarding parking when we arrived. We had paid for four days of on-site parking but when we got there, both spots were taken. We contacted the William and he promptly came and gave us a refund for that day's parking, as well as a pass for street parking. The entrance instructions could have been slightly clearer as it's a keyless system and they said to turn the deadbolt after entering the code. But it is hard to tell what the deadbolt part is. It would have been helpful to know that the deadbolt referred to the part with the keyhole in it. I wished there were four chairs for the dining table (there are only 2) so we could have meals together at the table. We ended up eating around the low table in the living room. It was a bit awkward, but we made do. Also, they don't mention this but the streets in that neighbourhood are really narrow. And I wouldn't necessarily feel comfortable walking there alone at night. There's a Trader Joe's nearby and we really enjoyed our dinner at Skillet Diner, which was also a short walk away. Overall, we had a good experience there. If you're looking for a cute, central place to stay (and don't mind three flights of stairs), this would be great for you.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thanks for your review. Just so other travelers are not confused, there are indeed four chairs for the dining table in the apartment (at the time of this guest's visit they did not match--four chairs, but two different styles). There are now 4 matching chairs for the table, as well as the two additional chairs.
