  Many years and (not) 8 grandkids ago, my husband and I promised our grandkids that we would take them all, 2 at a time, to Hawaii. This year, we have fulfilled our promise. We took our 2 youngest grandchildren (ages 13 & 14) to Hawaii, plus our daughter and her husband (celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary). Mahina Surf (#219) was everything the description said it was. The condo slept 6 very comfortably; the staff we encountered was very friendly and helpful. We had everything in the room that we needed, right down to the correct number of towels for all 6 of us, plus swimming towels. Though there was not a washer and dryer in our room, there are laundry facilities on-site. The washer and dryers in the facility were over sized and inexpensive to use. Everyone enjoyed the clean swimming pool. The grounds are well landscaped and well-tended. The turtles were awesome!! They not only came in from the ocean in the evening, they were there in the mornings as well. At one time we saw 9 of them! We'll be back! Maybe not 6 of us but we will be back for another awesome vacation!

  We greatly enjoyed our stay at the condo. It had everything we needed, we only wished it had an in-unit washer/dryer (the common coin-operated laundry is fine though). Beautiful pool and grounds, nearest sandy beach is about 1/2 mile away. Complex is well maintained and the owner was very helpful. We would definitely come back!

  Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers.

  This is a very nice and well appointed condo. The view from the balcony is breathtaking and the gardens are beautiful. The interior is furnished nicely with ample room. The location is perfect and close to Kannapali & Lahaina We enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning soon!

John and I just returned from Maui and had a wonderful times with our grandchildren. We all had a fun time watching the turtles swimming in front of the condo complex and we also used the BBQs in front of the complex while enjoying the sunset. What a magnificent experience that was for my grandsons who are four and eight. This time we bought two high definition TVs., new pots and pans, new lamps for the living room and other kitchen items for your comfort and enjoyment. Thank you so very much again.   This is a fantastic place to stay! Beautiful sunsets, the pungent smell of plumeria, the wonderful ocean breeze, and turtles too!! You will love the pool, once you are in you don't want to get out, and you meet the most interesting people from all over the world. The condo is so tastefully decorated, gorgeous paintings and everything is there that you would ever want. The location is ideal, close to excellent restaurants and the best beach on the island. We loved ever moment of our stay, and it is so much like the "old" Hawaii. Go and enjoy!!

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

  The condo was perfect for 6 people. It had everything we needed. The grandkids loved the pool and fishing from the rocks. The views were amaziing. The sunsets were beautiful. We will return next year and recommend Mahina Surf to our friends. Aloha
