‘There is no world for me outside the walls of Verona, except purgatory, torture, and hell itself. So to be banished from Verona is like being banished from the world, and being banished from the world is death.’
William Shakespeare, ‘Romeo and Juliet’ (a play based in Verona)
La Riva Destra is a nice apartment on the right side of the river Adige, the most romantic area of Verona. It is located in the central part of the town, five minutes walking from the Stone Wall Bridge (Ponte Pietra) - the famous bridge built by ancient Romans – and from the Roman Theater, where every summer the Shakespeare festival takes place.
The apartment is ideally equipped and located both for a holiday stay, a study tour or a business trip. It has been recently refurbished and is fully equipped with air conditioning, lcd television, cd & dvd player. The living room has a sofa which converts into a comfortable bed, while the bedroom has a kingsize bed.
The apartment has a balcony and a private bathroom with shower. It also has a fully equipped kitchen with an oven, refrigerator as well as all the utensils you might need and a washing machine. The main room has a dining area that can accommodate up to four people. A little bed for children can be added as well.
Sheets, pillowcases and towels are provided and changed weekly. Cleaning of the apartment once a week is also included.
The city of Verona has been awarded world heritage site status by UNESCO because of its urban structure and architecture. It is famous all over the world for its Roman edifices and Medieval architecture. The surrounding hills and valleys are also renowned, in particular the Valpolicella, where the Amarone, Recioto and Valpolicella are produced. These wines, together with the Bardolino, the Lugana, the Custoza and the Soave, make Verona one of the most enchanting wine production regions in the world.
Last, but not least: don’t miss a visit to the Garda Lake, only 15 miles far from the town.
No matter the reason of your stay on the Right Side (Riva Destra) of the river Adige, no matter how long you stay, making you feel comfortable and…at home, is our priority.
La Riva Destra is your once-in-a-lifetime occasion to visit the real Verona, combining relax with culture and good food.

The Perfect Place to stay in Verona!
The Perfect Place to stay in Verona!

This really was the most perfect place from which to explore and enjoy Verona. The apartment is everything it is advertised to be: cozy, comfortable, very well equipped and extremely well located! It's a very short walk to the Roman Theater and the old bridge into the center of town--and, what a town Verona is! The Piazza d'erbe is one of THE most beautiful I've ever seen. Angela and Flavio were the perfect hosts. Flavio greeted us and made us very, very welcome. Of all the places we rented during our month in Italy, this was the only one where the hosts actually provided welcome "gifts". We were given a really nice bottle of the local white wine (very, very good, by the way). The refrigerator was stocked with milk, juice, yogurt, etc for our first morning. There is a Nespresso coffee machine (fabulous). It was really perfect. And, Verona is romantic and beautiful beyond description!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This sparklingly clean apartment is just the other side of the river to the main tourist attractions yet within easy walking distance. This also has the added benefit of "locals" bars and restaurants with atmosphere, in what is a more residential area. The flat was well equiped and Angela and Flavio were ideal hosts, willing to help with any inquiry.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+.

Great place in a great location. The apartment was clean, nicely decorated and supplied with coffee, sugar and spices - even a nice bottle of local wine. It was perfect for us as we love to cook. We arrived late and Flavio met us with a most gracious manner. We loved the 4 days we stayed there - Verona is beautiful and also a great base to visit the Veneto - we took the train to Venice and in 1 hour we were there. We definitely recommend it and hopefully we will be back too!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

My husband and I stayed three weeks in Angela and Flavio's adorable apartment in May 2011. All prior correspondence was answered most promptly and courteously (a bonus was that Angela spoke and wrote fluent English). When we arrived at the apartment we were met by Angela with a most warm and friendly manner which was much appreciated after the long trip from Australia. We found the apartment immaculate and comfortable (including a lift in the apartment block which is rare in Italy) and Angela left for us a bottle of local wine, and many other things in the refrigerator which we would need for the first night there. The apartment was in a mostly residential area of Verona, which meant there were few tourists, but only a short distance across the river to the Arena area which swarms with tourists. We will definitely be back as we can't imagine a better location in Verona with such helpful and friendly owners who made us feel so very comfortable. Thank you Angela and Flavio for a most memorable vacation.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, age 55+.

We arrived and the apartment was spotlessly clean, had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and is perfectly located. It was quiet with great sunlight. We have traveled and stayed at many VRBO places and this was one of the best. Not only is the apartment perfect, Flavio and Angela were the most gracious of hosts. They communicated via email promptly and provided us with all the information we needed. A really great family. No need for a car here. Like I said, it is so conviently located we walked everywhere. A bakery and little convience store are just around the corner. And make sure you walk up the steps at the Teatro Romano (also just a block away) at night and take in the view.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, age 55+.
Owner response: Dear Margaret& Arnold, the pleasure of meeting kind and interesting persons like you the real added value of this activity as well as the reason why we are running it. Angela & Flavio

Did you find this review helpful? We've stayed for a weekend and have really enjoyed it. The apartment is superb, really clean, cosy and everything working perfectly. Very well located, just a few minutes walk from the city centre and pretty close to the Roman Theatre. Great welcome and surely, Angela and Flavio are fantastic hosts. Cared about our stay and gave us any information we required. Surely we'll be back. Thanks!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, age 55+.
