  We stayed in this condo for 8 nights. It was perfect for our family of 4! Our 16-year-old son slept on the pullout upstairs in the living room, which the owners have thoughtfully equipped with a mattress topper, so it is pretty comfortable. 12-year-old daughter slept in double bed in one of the 2 downstairs bedrooms, and parents in king bedroom. We appreciated so much how well stocked this condo was --beach towels, boogie boards, etc. Even the smaller things were provided like roll of paper towels, enough laundry soap for a couple loads, etc. Thanks to owners for making it hassle-free! Not to mention the gift basket that was waiting for us on the counter. Lovely. The grounds of Nihi Kai are well-maintained, including the tennis courts, which we used every day. Pool was nice too. The condo is in a perfect location. Very short walk to Poipu Beach. It is near resorts like Grand Hyatt that cost may times more--we had dessert at the Grand Hyatt for our daughter's birthday--it was obvious we could have come back anytime and used the pools and if we had lunch or whatever, so could've gotten all the frills of those places without the cost. (We chose to do other things.) Very highly recommend this condo-- a great bargain for the price!!

  Providing you limit the number of times you walk up and down the stairs (bathrooms all downstairs), this is a very nice quiet and well equipped condo. Can't say enough good things about the owners, they are there to please you and they make sure they do. We bought condo insurance but really didn't need to, again the owner goes out of his way NOT to overbook. If you have trouble doing stairs this is not the condo for you, there are stairs to get up to top floor and then stairs to get to the bathrooms and bedrooms. Also don't go to the office (on the way to the pool) as they have nothing to do with the privately owned units in this condo complex. They are very nice but can't help you with any requests (ours was for more garbage bags!). The pool & area are very nice & we enjoyed it a lot. If you have small children make note that the pool does not have a shallow end so you'll need life belts or flotation devices for them. For groceries the closest store is "Big Save" in Koloa town but go early or they will run out of meat, fresh vegetables & some dairy products. I loved their bakery mostly because they have sugar free baking. Good price for drinks there too. Wonderful shopping in Koloa and make sure you buy a "Red Dirt Shirt" made only in Hawaii. The Costco and K-Mart stores are easily located off of Hwy 50 in the large Kukui Grove Shopping Center, visible from the highway. A must eat at place is a deli (in this center) called "Deli & Bread Connection". Great prices and excellent food, well worth the wait. Go before noon or there will be a line up out the door.

  We had a amazing vacation, the location was excellent. The beach and snorkeling were great and the condo was well equipped. We will definitely stay here again.

  We had the pleasure of staying here in January. We found everything that we needed in the condo and when we had some minor issues with the internet it was resolved very quickly. The kitchen was well equipped right down to storage containers for leftovers. The ice-maker was a treat. We used the bar-be-ques nightly and they were well lit and kept clean. The unit has had a recent face lift and it presents as clean and fresh. They kept the old bathroom fixtures and they are in good condition. The Condo is quite private with the front master bedroom hidden behind the trees and the rear bedroom protected by a hedge about 15 feet away. The beds were both very comfy. There was no air conditioning however we were fine all but one night when the trade winds dropped off. We drove all over the island and kept coming back to the little beach out in front of the condo. It was excellent. We swam and body boarded everyday and it was rather neat to have to watch out for the sea turtles. They were as curious about us as we were them and would often come in amongst the swimmers. The rocks along side of the road provided some shelter for fish and you could snorkle and enjoy them safely. Often dive groups were just outside the swimming area. The real plus to this location is the setting. Every night vacationers would gather along the stone fence and sit and chat while waiting for the sun to set. The view was amazing, made even more special on those nights that the whales were breaching. We chose the Poipu area because we wanted to relax. We were not there for the night life so I am not even sure what is available. You can buy groceries in the area and the prices are not that far out of line from town so why bother driving in? This location was ideal for exploring the island. The canyon was close at hand. Half an hour from the airport and easy access to town without all of the traffic on the north side. We had 3 of our party go Skydiving and they were more than satisfied. They were taken care of very professionally. On one day several from the party rented surf boards from a local vendor and felt it was a good value. Would we go back again? In a heartbeat! Thanks guys.

  Nice place, nice area close to good beach. Everything you needed was already there. Owner very helpful. When a small problem arose (very minor) it was fixed very quickly. Hopefully we will be back in the near future. Thanks for the memories.

  great stay, everything worked well except for the bathroom lights that hesitated a bit when you first turned them on. The sofa bed springs were falling out so we ended up putting the mattress on the floor to sleep. temperature wise, during the day, it was hot in the place despite the breezes, but at night it was ok with the fans on. no view from the deck of the ocean as the vines have grown tall in the back, but that ensured total privacy which we enjoyed. 1/2 a block to the ocean where you can see sea turtles feeding by the volcanic rock and watch the little daredevil kids body surf with their boogie boards. Brenneckes restaurant is easily within walking distance and great, great fresh seafood!! I would definitely stay in this residence again!!
