"We had a party of five - three men in their sixties and two young men in their twenties - and we couldn't have picked a better location. We liked being on the cliff road and having access to the sea for snorkeling. The grounds are beautiful and the house is spacious. Ian, the night security guard, and Fabi, the gardener, helped make our vacation fun, safe, and interesting. We didn't make use of the maid service or cooking, so we can't comment on that. We made breakfasts every morning - we got juice from the stand across the street and cooked our own pancakes and eggs. We also prepared some of our own lunches. The food in the neighborhood is great - I highly recommend the jerk chicken at Three Dives (skip the lobster). The neighbor resort (Samsara) has a great happy hour special from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Two for one on all rum drinks and I recommend trying the Banana Daiquiri. The owner responded promptly to every inquiry (via email and telephone). It was a pleasure doing business with him. One warning - for those of us who are used to American showers and toilets, the water pressure is lower."Recommended for: People with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing, pet owners, age 55+.

The location of this villa is superb if you like to snorkel. The access ladder makes it easy to get in and out of the water safely. Once in the water you won't find a much better snorkeling experience anywhere. We were in the water several times a day. My grand daughter enjoyed working on her tan when not swimming and all of us spent many hours on the large veranda reading and eating many of our meals. There was room for our rental car inside the gate which we could lock at night. The inside of the house is a bit worn but clean. The kitchen and large counter are very convenient. We appreciated the three baths plus an outside shower for after swimming--- and lots of towels. We ate about half our meals in and Polly, who looks after the place, cooked us an excellent fish dinner one night. We ate several times at a nice restaurant within walking distance by the Samsara Resort as well as Patties at Niah's on the Seven Mile Beach and and Jerk Chicken at the Three Dives.My wife and I are bird watchers and found 3 hummingbirds and several others that are endemic to Jamaica on the property. The property is right on the West End road and the locals honk their horns a lot and generally make a fair amount of noise. We thought we might have trouble sleeping but we usually played so hard that we were plenty tired at night. We met a few of the neighbors and really enjoyed their outgoing, friendly nature. The owner was very easy to contact either by email or phone and answered any questions we had quickly.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+.

I've stayed here with my wife and another couple. Lovely spot. Short drive to town. Short walk to food market. Great private spot for swimming. Great value. I plan to stay again this March. We do rent a car, but you can always get a taxi. Ocean access not great for timid swimmers, or young children. It's about 5 miles to the beach.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, tourists without a car.
