Beautiful home on fantastic property. Short and easy walk to the beach. No dunes or stairs to combat with. Home itself is great! Comfortable, clean, and well-appointed. Very comfortable. My family, wife and two children, thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We practically had the beach to ourselves. The area is not "touristy". Just what we wanted... Short day trips to Mobile and New Orleans are easy to accomplish and satisfying. The owners are very accomodating and hospitible. Great people... There is only one thing that I could say was a "negative". The property is somewhat near an active railway (about 1/2 mile). Only time you'll notice is at night. Not a deal breaker, but people that aren't used to the noise may be taken back. We quickly got used to the noise and hardly noticed it by the second night. Overall, I highly recommend this home if you're looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and spend some quality time with your family.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in "Memories" in Long Beach, MS. The cottage was everything and more than we expected and was the perfect place for my husband and me and our college-aged daughter to spend a few days in at the end of Spring Break to rest and relax. We will definitely look forward to coming back again. Everything was sparkling clean and welcoming and just the perfect size for us. We loved the beautiful grounds and the history of the property....strolling around and looking at the former home sites before Katrina and imagining what wonderful memories were made by the original families who grew up there. The owners were very welcoming and easy to work with, which we appreciate more than we can say. The home is very tastefully decorated and offers everything that you need. We loved the front porch, the three tv's, and the privacy of the home. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach several times each day and enjoyed the beautiful white sand. The Mississippi Gulf Coast offers the absolute BEST food and Long Beach has quite a few excellent restaurants......as do Gulfport and Bay St. Louis! If you are looking for an amazingly relaxing place to kick back and relax, this is it. As native Mississippians from only about three hours away, we are happy to find somewhere we can look forward to going back to again and again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We had such a nice time at the "Memories" cottage. Everything in the home was clean, fresh & new. Both bedrooms had little televisions as well as a large TV in the living area. We didn't use them much since we stayed on the beautiful (private) front porch most of the time or traveled to Gulfport or Biloxi in the evenings. (Biloxi was only about a 15 minute drive straight up the beach.) The owners were very attentive and easy to reach. They even have a folder with restaurant ideas/menus if you aren't familiar with the area. It was an easy walk down the owner's private drive to the beach. You do walk across Hwy 90 but it is partitioned between the traffic lanes and all other homes/duplexes/etc have to cross it as well, so this shouldn't be any deterrent for staying here! This home has safe area to cross. It was also very nice having a washer/dryer on the premises. We would definitely LOVE to return, especially during the warmer summer months! Wonderful vacation home!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

LOVED this cottage!!! It was everything the listing said and more! We were so pleased with how clean it was and how safe and comfortable we felt staying there. I very much liked the big bathroom with the large walk in shower. We especially enjoyed the front porch and exploring the acreage. A very easy walk to the beach and very centrally located to everything the area has to offer. About an hours drive to New Orleans and just a little farther to see the Louisiana plantations. Enjoyed the shrimp boat tour in Biloxi, the Navy Seabee Musuem in Gulfport, the many antique shops, shopping, and of course many of the GREAT restaurants in the area. Do not heitate, this is a GREAT place to stay and Sandy and Robert are such wonderful people!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My husband and I stayed at "Memories," as the cottage is called, for a magical 5 days. The cottage itself is new and beautifully furnished with every modern convenience and stylish furnishings including rockers on the porch. The grounds surrounding the cottage are the stuff dreams are made of. I believe it was 7 acres of green grass, large oak trees and peace and quiet. We sat on the large swing under a big oak and rocked ourselves into a peaceful bliss. The beach is a 5 minute walk from the front porch. I highly recommend this beautiful cottage.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

My wife and I along with our son spent a week here in july and it was fantastic. Robert and Sandy are some of the nicest host you will ever meet. The house has everything that you would need for a family vacation or weekend getaway. The entire house is new and they have thought of everything right down to the TV on the wall in the kids room. Although it not on the beach it is close enough to walk. The big front porch is great for enjoying morning coffee or a glass of wine at night. The Mississippi coast is one of the best kept secrets around. We were there in mid july and had the entire beach to ourselves all week. There are plenty of great restaurant's close for all budgets, and you do not have to wait an hour like in orange beach and gulf shores. We did day trips to New Orleans and also took the swamp tour which is great for kids. We will definitely be booking our summer vacations here going forward and you should also......... Charming cottage by the sea! My family and I enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere this property provides. It's within walking distance to the beach on a beautiful live oak lined road. We spent hours on the wide, cool front porch in the mornings and afternoons, while my son played in the yard and swang on the country log tree swing. We enjoyed local attractions and fishing from the public pier located right down the street. The owners were extremely accomadating, helpful, and kind. I cannot say enough positive things about our experience!Recommended for: Families with young children.

Our stay was a kinda last minute thing, but it was exactly what I was looking for. Very relaxing place, we sit on the front porch for hours watching the birds and other wildlife. I don't think I could have written a book to be more perfect than this place. If you are looking for a place to get away from everything and to relax. This would be a great place to do exactly that. I will be back soon.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.
