Wonderful Stay at Swift Cottage!
Wonderful Stay at Swift Cottage!
My husband and I stayed 5 nights at the Swift Cottage, over the Santa Barbara International Marathon weekend. I went to UCSB back in the day, so I wasn't totally unfamiliar with the Montecito area. To say we were pleased with the cottage and with our entire visit would be an understatement. First off, the cottage was spotless. Becky left a nice note along with some snacks and a bottle of wine...a wonderful welcome! The cottage had everything we needed and then some. We took advantage of the kitchen and the washer/dryer, and even got to meet the resident housedog Jackson. He's a sweetie...always looking for some scratches! Santa Barbara was having a bit of a cold snap when we were there, so we took advantage of the fireplace and were very happy the bed had plenty of blankets to keep us warm! A gas wall heater can only do so much, unless you're in the upstairs loft where it was nice and toasty! The loft was ideal for my husband to set up his computer for work. We had plenty of space for the two of us to move around, and the outdoor courtyard area was absolutely stunning. Next time we come out and stay, we'll come out when the weather's a bit warmer so we can take advantage of the great outdoor space. All in all, a fantastic trip. Thanks Becky, we will be back!

My Husband, Toddler and I stayed at this cottage in February of this year and had THE best time! Loved everything about the cottage: the location, the setting, all the little things you don't expect but that make your stay so comfortable and enjoyable, e.g. fresh, cut flowers, great linens/comforter on an very comfortable king bed, soft/thick bathroom towels, yummy soaps/lotions, coffee for in the morning, etc, etc...such great added touches! The cottage itself is immaculate and very well taken care of. And of course, there is the location of Montecito/Santa Barbara. The weather was perfect. We walked down to the beach every morning, road our bikes to the wharf, went out to dine several times (lots of great restaurants within walking distance), went to the zoo, etc. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it as a place to stay.

We had a wonderful stay in Montecito! The Swift Cottage is very charming and had everything we needed to feel right at home. The kitchen is fully equipped, the decor is beautiful and clean, the king sized bed is extremely comfortable, and the garden is filled with magnificent roses, jasmine and rosemary. We even saw bunnies hopping around every day of our stay! The location was perfect for us - nestled in a residential neighborhood but within walking distance to the shops, restaurants, and Butterfly beach. It is only a short drive to Santa Barbara, Summerland and Carpenteria. The owners, Ted and Becky, are extremely kind and helpful! And, their handsome dog, Jackson, was very friendly as well! We truly loved our stay at the cottage and we look forward to visiting again!
