Comfortable 2-story home on 2.5 wooded acres. Beautiful park like yard. Volleyball, badminton and horseshoes on- site. Wrap around deck with table & chairs. Picnic table and benches up in park area. Firepit off deck. Walk out basement to hot tub and sauna. The home also has an indoor sauna which is available during colder months. Switched out in the summer to the air conditioning. Plenty of parking available (2 driveways). Area for R/V parking as well.
Full kitchen up with nook, table area. Fully stocked with all you need for cooking and serving. Kitchenette downstairs with table, sink, coffee pot and microwave & toaster. Coffee and tea are provided.
Living room has 2 full couches and a wood fireplace. Dining table seats 8.
Three bedrooms: Two with a queen size bed and two singles. Third bedroom has 3 singles. Two bathrooms, one with jetted tub. Hair dryers are supplied in both bathrooms.
Recreation room is versatile for an additional sleeping area. Crafting tables (2-8', 2-6', & 3-4') for scrapbooking, quilting or any family events. The home is very warm and welcoming!Very safe area! Wonderful days & evenings watching the deer passing through or enjoying your favorite cook-out & reminicing/singing by the fire in or out!

This house was perfect for us! There were 6 of us that went to Duluth skiing for the weekend. It was so nice to be able to cook and not have to eat out for every meal. The hot tub and sauna were such a nice addition and felt amazing after putting in a whole day of skiing. Marilyn was a delight to deal with via email. The house was very comfortable for 6 of us. We are going to make this an annual trip for sure! Thank you SO much!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, people with disabilities, families with young children.

Marilyn was wonderful to correspond with before our stay even began, and once there ... WOW! The place is awesome. It was so comfortable and just a wonderful place to stay! This place had EVERYTHING we needed to just show up and have a good time. Fully stocked kitchen for cooking, comfortable living quarters and crafting tables, and gorgeous grounds. We even saw deer in the back yard! Our scrapbooking getaway was made complete with the hot tub and sauna. I would highly recommend this property and we plan on returning next year!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, girls getaway, families with young children.

The previous reviewer had it right...these pics do not do this place justice. It's warm, embracing, and feels like home as soon as you step in the door. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. The hot tub and saunas truly made this a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. Perfect for a group of friends or romantic getaway. The owner greeted us and made us feel welcome. What is shown on the internet does not do this home justice. It is immaculate, beautifully furnished, and a true respite from the stressors of daily living. If you like hot tubs, indoor and outdoor saunas, plus a whirlpool tub, expansive beautifully kept grounds, plus room enough for everyone to have a quiet space, you will love being here, and the only regret is that I did not book it for a longer time. As the owner told us, we only needed to bring our luggage. I will definitely recommend Somebody Else's House, and look forward to our next stay there. October was a beautiful time to be there, but I think any time of year would be wonderful. The owners truly put their loving hand on everything and made a wonderful get-away for our family.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

About the owner: This was a relaxing day at one of our favorite areas, Gooseberry Falls. Just kicking back & enjoying the serenity and the peaceful atmosphere! We love to visit the falls & the entire North Shore Area as much as our guests do when they visit... Lots of great restaurants & of course we never forget to get smoked fish during our visit up the shore... (we love it!)... The area is scenic, relaxing & a beautiful memory to keep always...
Why the Owner Chose Duluth:
This was the home we raised our three children in. We built a new home and decided to turn our wonderful home into a vacation rental, crafting house in 2008.
The home is warm and cozy. It's our home away from home! Why not make it yours!!!
