Adorable cottage that was the perfect size for our family of four. Huge lot with plenty of space for kids to run around. Nice, roomy pier - plenty of space for boat, fishing, and swimming (which we couldn't do much b/c the water is still cold!). Beautiful sunsets. The state park is a very short drive (by either boat or car) down the road, which we enjoyed visiting several times.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

The house was clean and a perfect fit for our family of 5. The kitchen was well-stocked with pots, pans, microwave, dishes, toaster, utensils, and spices. There is a stove. oven and dishwasher that worked great too. We loved the dock and yard. We fished, swung from the rope swing and went boating. The lake is big and very deep. The town of Livingston has everything you need...Wal-Mart, urgent care, restaurants, and grocery stores within about 15 minutes from the house. We went during the week and only saw a few boats. Very peaceful and relaxing!!! The only concern I had was the lack of garbage cans outdoors. We would love to return to this darling home on the lake.Recommended for: Families with young children.

We stayed at this comfortable 2 bdrm home over the 4th of July. On the 4th our children and grandchildren visited and we enjoyed the day together swimming, fishing and watching the fireworks all around the lake that night. We fished from the pier at the boat house, no fish, but we had fun trying. My husband and I decided that if you have a house on the lake, you need to have a boat. We all did have an enjoyable time though. The description on the property was pretty accurate except for the concrete table and benches pictured, not a problem though...the beautiful sunsets made up for everything. We were fortunate to have overcast days mostly so we had cool shade.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

This was a great place for our family of four. The house was very nice and well appointed. Really nice neighbors, and an excellent dock. The fishing was spectacular, especially for our 7 and 9 year old kids, who pilled in more fish than we could shake a stick at. We are planning on coming back as soon as we can manage it!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children.

New to Texas, but far from the first house rental on water. We came upon the house unexpectedly at a deadend, hidden from view. Very peaceful, small subdivision, great dock even without a boat (although you could put in privately at the subdivision's own pier). The house is everything as described including clean. the kitchen is well stocked, and easy to use. the sofa bed was brand new, comfortable, beds comfy too (per the kids). it looked like it had been updated very recently. There is a burn ban, but the firepit was nice to sit around and watch the sunset, with the dock lit up for night fishing or early morning for the kids. They walked, hung out, played games together (football in the huge yard, frisbee, board games, cards for goodness sake!), swam, jumped and floated from the dock, just generally hanging out and really connecting again. Perfect!! fenced in yard too, although we had no pets or small kids. I would suggest, though, moving that stereo system out of the front window, or front room, it really ruins the view and is not necessary to a renter. they probably have their own and it is quite out dated. If visiting without a boat, go to Bethy Creek Resort and rent a boat. prices very competitive, great boats, and the owners are onsite and are wonderful!!!! Best boat rental ever!!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

This little house is located on the two beautiful fenced lots which is perfect for your pets. The house was clean and the couches and beds were so comfortable. Just imagine laying in bed and waking up every morning to a beautiful lake view! It was the perfect place for a veg out weekend, we just fished, played with our dog and read by the lake....so perfect! We will be back for sure!Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.
