  We stayed at this Turn of the River property while attending my son's graduation from the Citadel. My husband, 82 year old mother, teenage son, and twenty-four year old son all had plenty of space to spread out, The condo was just as beautiful as you see in the photos and it was very clean. The kitchen had better knives and pans than I have in my own home! On really windy days the front door has a tendency to slam hard, so be very careful. It caught a few my son's fingers off guard. We were so glad there was a first aid kit in the condo! Carolyn was very easy to work with and the rental process went smoothly. We hope to be back soon.

  My husband and I, our 3 yr old twins, and my inlaws had the pleasure of staying at this condo in March 2013. We arrived early on check in day and the cleaners had already finished so we were able to go in about 45 mins earlier than check in time. The condo is absolutely beautiful. Things we loved: *The decor is very hip *There is plenty of room for everyone *The beds were very comfortable *The condo had everything we needed *The view was gorgeous *The dock was convenient for my husband and father in law to fish *Opening the master bedroom door at night was so relaxing- we hated to leave that feature *The hot water was super hot (at home I can turn it all the way hot and it is perfect, here all the way hot would have sent me to the ER...this is great though because that means no fighting over hot water.) *The lock on the door is cool. We never even got keys while there and that made it super convenient so we didn't have to worry about losing them. Things we didn't like: *Elevator is SLLLOOOOOWWWW. You are better off taking the stairs- it will save you at least 2 minutes. (This has nothing to do with the condo of course) *The entrance to the condo to me smelled a bit like old smoke. Like someone had smoked there in the past. I am not sure if that was in fact what the smell was but it didn't carry throughout. My mother in law sprayed some air freshener and that seemed to help. I would stay here again without hesitation. And seeing as Chareston is my heaven on earth, I am sure that will be soon! It was comfy, cozy, and by the end of our stay we didn't want to leave. Everything about this trip and planning it was smooth and seamless. We are looking forward to staying here again! Unrelated to condo I thought I would leave some of our favorite things and places: Food: -Poogan's Porch -Hominy Grill -82 Queen -Lost Dog Cafe Things to Do: -Middleton Place -Folly Beach -Palmetto Carriage Ride -Magnolia Plantation -Aquarium -Walk down Market St. Charleston Historic District is, in my opinion, a short ride from the condo and a must do. You won't go wrong staying here! Carolyn, Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your condo. It was exactly as described and we had a great time. We look forward to returning and appreciate the prompt mailing of the deposit. This was hands down a better experience than staying in a hotel, so thank you!

  This condo is beautiful. We came for a long January weekend. It was a Girls Get-Away weekend. We loved the comfy beds. The decorating is professional. Nice linens. Great views. We were just taken with the coffee table. It is so beautiful but also so functional; we felt like we each had a recliner with the little pull-out foot rests. We highly recommend this condo for a relaxing vacation. You will find plenty of privacy, with each bedroom having its own bathroom and television. We will be back!

  We are so happy we chose this condo! So conveniently and beautifully located without being in the party atmosphere of downtown Folly, which is a short walk away. We loved the screened porch and river view. Privacy abounds, beds are comfy, laundry room is spacious, and decor is happy and bright. Oh, and the covered parking was a great bonus. Five adults stayed here and five more groomsmen dressed for a wedding in the condo..master was big enough to accommodate their wedding preparation. You will enjoy a stay at Turn of the River.

  From the moment we walked through the door to the moment we locked it behind us we had the most wonderfull family vacation in years. The Condo was beautifully decorated and clean with lots of room for my wife, myself, my daughter and 3 very happy grandchildren. The view out over the water were awesome. We watched dolphins from the dock and the livingroom windows. My grandaughers caught fish from the dock, including a small ray. Swam in the pool and the ocean. Very short drive to the beach, no problem finding parking during the week. Grocery stores nearby. Ate seafood at Snapper Jacks and Bowen's Island Restaurants, both good. Shared the pool with some real nice fellow vacationers and Condo owners. Everywhere we we went we met friendly, helpful people. We loved the location. The Condo is even better than the pictures show. Owner was great to do business with. Information she provided was timely and "spot on". Not only do we highly recommend this property as one of the 3 best we have rented over the last 25 years, but we look forward to returning. Thank You for a great week.

  We chose this condo based mostly on the reviews from others who had stayed here. They were all positive and they were so right! When we arrived we were so pleased to see "Welcome" and our name written on the sign outside the front door. It was the prettiest decorated front door area that we saw and it was just a sign of things to come. We were awed when we walked inside. Everything was so beautiful and clean. We felt so comfortable and at home here. We loved the view from the screened-in porch and spent a lot of early mornings and late evenings enjoying it. The only negative thing that I could possibly say is that I wish there had been more towels and washcloths. The ones provided were very nice, but just not enough. I had to wash them every day so we would have some to use the next day. It was very nice having the washer and dryer available. We absolutely loved staying here and hope to be able to stay again sometime in the future.

  Our family had a wonderful time at this condo! The view from the screened in balcony is awesome! The condo has everything you need. The towels and linens are luxurious. There is plenty of space even with six adults. It is an easy walk to the beach and many nearby sites to see. Highly recommend the swamp walk at Magnolia Plantation.

  We were able to stay at this property for the entire week. It is a very relaxing location with great views of the river. The condo is beautiful! The decor is modern and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped with anything you might need and everything was very clean. Carolyn and Chris were both wonderful and helpful. The walk to the beach was not bad at all. It was kind of relaxing not having to find parking. The beach is beautiful and not a fast food chain in sight! We love that it is not commercialized. Wonderful place to spend a relaxing vacation. Must visit Taco Boy, Folly Beach Crab Shack and Black Magic Coffee. Thanks so much Carolyn for allowing us to stay at your wonderful condo!! Tip: Remember when you are sitting on the patio/balcony that the water amplifies your voices. Very easy to disturb your neighbors.

  Short walk to the beach, even loaded down with beach gear and children-the walk was easy! We enjoyed all the great little shops and good food on Folly during the day and had about a 10min drive to explore Charleston too! LOVED our lunch at Barbara Jean's (Charleston) and the tour/history of Charleston! The beach at Folly was so much fun! We happened upon the Sun and Sand festival-sand sculptures and couples surfing competitions-AMAZING The Condo was so beautiful-I even took a pic of the foyer in hopes of recreating in my daughter's room! Every room was beautiful-felt like we were at an upscale resort! The neighbors were very kind as well! Can not wait to return and bring friends! Excellent communication with the owners, We returned home Tuesday even and I received my deposit in the mail by Thursday!!! The condo is located on the second floor but, with the shopping carts and elevator it was super easy to carry groceries,luggage, and tired children!

  This is the second time we have stayed at this beautiful condo. We had a full house and still had room to spare and the 3 bathrooms were a luxury. We love the decor and the patio provided breathtaking scenery. I know that returning to this condo next year will meet all of my expectations and provide no worries for a great vacation spot....again.
