Built in 2004, this is one of the newest rental properties on the market in the Brule River State Forest. It is located at the end of the Clevedon Rd at the mouth of the Brule River. You have access to the Tri-County Corridor for snowmobiling or ATVs. There is thousands of acres of State Forest land for hunting and fishing right outside your back door. It takes approximately 2 minutes to walk from the cabin to be standing at the mouth of the Brule River or to be enjoying the sandy beach of Lake Superior with a campfire watching a perfect sunset.
The log home features 2 decks, one overlooking the beach and 1 covered deck with a picnic table and grilling area. The living room has views all around and a wood stove to take the chill out of fall and winter nights. Three TV's and a sound system also are included for your use. The loft bedroom has a king size custom made log bed that overlooks Lake Superior and the lights of the north shore. The main floor bedroom features a queen size bed along with another queen and double in the walk-out lower level. A quality queen air matress is also available.
The garage is heated for your toys. A large chain link kennel is provided in the heated garage for any well behaved pets as they are NOT allowed in the cabin. There is also a wood sauna in the garage with views of the lake. This is a non-smoking property.
Bayfield, Wisconsin is just 54 miles east, with activities aplenty. 35 miles west brings you to Duluth, Minnesota's bustling lakeshore adventures and a short 57 miles south will bring you to popular Hayward, Wisconsin's vacationland.
Our guests have only 'WOW' to say after seeing this unique hidden treasure. We are confident that if you are looking for a place to wind down for a few days or for a week, you will find peace and solitude here.

This was our very first experience with VRBO and we hit the nail on the head! What a wonderful cabin/house this was for our entire family to use. We had 3 months - 70 yrs old in our party and enjoyment was had by all. The house was beautiful, quite, clean, well maintained, and HUGE! The short walk to the lake was ideal. We also hiked in nearby forests and (tried) to canoe the last 13 miles of the Brule (low water made it a bit harder). Plus the weather was perfect, a strong breeze from the lake kept any bugs away and most nights the stars were amazing. D & D were wonderful hosts and we would suggest this spot to all our friends.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

Truely an awsome place to stay. We stayed for a week, observed widlife including nesting geese, ducks, eagles, a black bear, deer, and a porcupine. The cabin was very well finished and provided a feeling of home. Beautiful sunsets and sunrises, and as a base for fishing the local streams, really outstanding location. We plan to return for a visit next sping and possibily this fall as well.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

This was a beautiful home and a perfect retreat for our annual girls weekend. We had women ages 1-86 that enjoyed a weekend of cooking, art projects, reading, games, the sauna, and most of all beautiful views of the lake, walks on the shore, a perfect day for a swim and an equally great stormy day that made the waves seem like you were at the ocean! The only downside was one bathroom for all those women. We'd love to go back again and we will be sharing this great place with friends and family as well.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

If you want to stay at a impeccebly furnished true full log cabin overlooking Lake Superior, then stay here!! My wife and I stayed here on a spring weekend. We were able to watch the mating flights of Bald eagles, listen to rain on the roof, observe Lake Superior icebergs float by all while being warmed by a wonderful fireplace and sipping a warm beverage. We had ruffed grouse welcome us along the town road when we took a walk. We watched the hills across Lake Superior fade in the evening dusk and then the lights of Minnesota homes along the shorline wink on. Don't forget to use the sauna. The peace and quite of the cabin was refreashing. Take a walk along the shoreline, pick rocks, leave your fooprints in the sand. The owners show their pride in the cabin they built by how well appointed, clean, and tastefully appointed the cabin is. We would stay at this cabin in any season of the year. We would absolutely recommend staying at this cabin.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.
