Our Paris Apartment is spectacular; it is sunny, 700 square feet, south-facing with the added bonus of a balcony, so you can enjoy your cafe' au lait there every morning. Gaze right and see the Eiffel Tower, with its magic light show with 20,000 twinkling lights after dark!
It was featured on The Fine Living Channel's program 'Around the World in 80 Homes' and has also appeared in Maisons et Décor, a well known French decorating magazine.
Our apartment rental matched our demanding requirements for a great stay in Paris: there had to be a superb view and location in unquestionably one of the best and safest neighborhoods in Paris.
This Paris apartment rental is perfect for two couples; or a family of five with young children.
Enter our apartment to find powder room on your left, with toilet and sink for extra 'getting ready' room. It is tiled in white carrara marble with a gray and pink geometric border.
The kitchen is next on your left; newly remodeled with contemporary pale wood cabinets and pale granite work-tops. A heavy sliding glass panel with simple, sandblasted design slides shut to close off the kitchen, providing an attractive feature when viewed from the living room. Kitchen is fitted with all appliances: refrigerator/freezer, microwave, oven and dishwasher, toaster, etc. With a full array of cookware, you can shop the local market and prepare your own gourmet meals.
Next to the living room is the powder room with water closet and sink. You enter the piece de resistance on your right, the living room. It is southwest facing and has two sets of French doors which open onto a sunny balcony. This sunny double room has beautiful, original oak parquet floors, white marble fireplace and mirror. The view is special: looking down the tree-lined Avenue de la Bourdonnais, over a low red-brick turn-of-the-century school and directly into the trees of the Champ de Mars to the right. Look right and you see the Eiffel Tower, only a block away! A round marble bistro table and chairs sit on the balcony for you to enjoy croissants and café au lait each morning. This is a romantic apartment and the view is especially beautiful at sunset.
It’s wonderful to watch the day unfold below: parents taking children to school, people buying their morning and evening baguettes, coming back from the market with their shopping baskets full, or joining friends for an espresso in the café on the corner. We believe that a great view is an important factor to consider when choosing an apartment in Paris.
It is extremely difficult to find these kind of apartments; we say they must have the ‘Wow!’ factor when you walk in the door. As a result, our selection is small relative to most, but we are uncompromising in our standards.
The living room of our is a double room that we opened up to create a single, spacious room during the day. Special sliding panel doors of maple and sycamore doors were made to open up the room during the day and slide close as needed, making a separate bedroom to sleep two. TV, DVD player and sound system make it a comfortable room for relaxing in after a long day of sightseeing and shopping. Our apartment has a security safe for your personal valuables. We have also installed a free wireless ADSL line for your computer!
The first half of the living room includes an antique bistro table next to the fireplace, useful for working or reading. The round, beechwood dining table is on the other side of the fireplace and expands to seat six. The second half of the living room is furnished with an Empire-style 'lit bateau' daybed that is attractive and practical as it provides comfortable seating during the day and pulls out to make a comfortable twin bed or dual king at night. We believe our guests prefer these deluxe beds to what is generally available in rental apartments.
There is a beautiful antique commode and mirror on the left wall of the living room, facing the French doors. A built-in closet provides extra hanging and storage space in our Paris vacation rental apartment. You proceed down the corridor to find the first bathroom on your right, which has a full fixed shower and sink, tiled in beige Limestone. Washer and dryer are in the closet next to the bathroom.
The corridor widens to a reading room which becomes the second bedroom, to sleep one or two. This room is naturally lit by a large window in the corridor, overlooking the quiet courtyard of the building. This cozy room has built-in bookshelves, lamps, built-in closet and Empire-style wooden daybed. The daybed is similar to the one in the living room, with twin mattress and second pullout twin bed underneath. The beds can be joined to make a king as desired. This is a nice room for quiet reading or napping, as doors close it off from the entryway and master bedroom.
The master bedroom of our Paris apartment with en-suite shower come next, with large window overlooking the inner courtyard of the building. It feautres a dual king bed which can be made up as twins or as a king. There is a built-in closet with television above. All windows and French doors are new and provide excellent sound and thermal insulation. The compact second bathroom is en-suite, with full, fixed shower and handmade sink, painted with flowers. It is tiled in beige French limestone with halogen down lights.
We leave lots of Paris guidebooks for you to peruse during your stay. This is a Non-Smoking apartment. We think you will be delighted to stay in our Paris vacation rental apartment! Please let me know if I can answer any other questions.

Why the Owner Chose Paris Arrondissement 7
We tried many Paris neighborhoods and the 7th arrondissement in Paris offered the best access to everything we love and enjoy! Step outside your apartment and enjoy café’ au lait on rue Cler on a sunny morning, stroll to Paris landmarks, museums and monuments, to world class shopping on the Right Bank, to the Orsay Museum, the Louvre, Rodin Museum, Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, Grand Palais, American Library. Take morning walks, picnics & bike rides in the Champs de Mars gardens, to romantic walks home along the river at sunset. It’s a beautiful old quartier near the romantic Seine that has maintained a village-like atmosphere, surrounded by bistros and shops so you can step outside and savor life. It's one of the safest arrondissements in Paris; it offers more open air markets than any arrondissement in Paris. It costs more to invest in the 7th, but to us, it is worth every penny. We greet our butcher, baker and local cheese specialist daily. They know what our favorite cheeses are and make favorite suggestions. They know the exact kind of baguette we want each day, not too brown and crusty for soft cheese. That is what we have been lucky enough to find in our neighborhood and we hope you’ll have a chance to enjoy the same special lifestyle.

Owner's Map of Paris Arrondissement 7
My company transferred me from San Francisco to London for work, and it wasn’t long before I met my husband Philippe on a ski vacation. We were married and bought our first apartment in Paris where Philippe was working as a cardiac surgeon. Friends and family loved staying there for the fantastic location and views – walking distance to cafés, landmarks sights and wonderful shops. They loved the experience of living like a Parisian, shopping in the nearby open air markets for the freshest foods, buying warm baguettes next door, enjoying café au lait on the balcony, eating at affordable brasseries and restaurants that Parisians go to just around the corner. They asked if they could rent our pied-à-terre when we were away, and our Paris apartment rentals business was born! Philippe left medicine for business and we now commute between London and Paris on the Eurostar and have two great children who have French and American citizenship ... and who always point out my French grammar mistakes!

"We stayed at Chardonnay from June 16-23 2011. The apartment was wonderfully located and beautifully decorated. As soon as we arrived (from australia!!) and oohed and ahhed over the apartment, we headed to Rue Cler to stock up on fresh fruit and treats. Chardonnay was perfect in every way, the apartment was gorgeous, clean, beautiful, safe and secure, the location was wonderful and the neighbourhood so friendly and easy to get around to all the sights in Paris. Our two children loved it as well. The neighbours in the other apartments in the building were friendly and quiet, we felt almost like locals after a week there! We will definitely return. I cannot recommend paris perfect highly enough, they provided free calls to landlines in most countries (our home in australia for example), they called to check how we were doing, they left very detailed and interesting information, they were lovely. We miss Paris very much especially our wonderful Chardonnay - and also Christian Constant's restaurant close by and I had my hair cut as well by the hairdresser recommended in the manual. He spoke no english and my french is poor, but we got on fine! Thank you paris perfect for a perfect stay."

“Our recent visit to Paris was our second visit during which we stayed in an apartment offered by Paris Perfect. Both experiences were wonderful! The apartments are comfortable, clean, well equipped, and in great locations for visitors to Paris. We were very comfortable in the apartment after days of long walks in the city, and we were very gratified by the assistance we received from the local office in finding our way around! The apartments are close to Metro stations, open markets, great restaurants, and enticing shops. In sum, we now can't imagine staying anywhere in Paris except in a Paris Perfect apartment."

I" have visited Paris over 20 times in the past 30 years, staying in everything from hostels and hotels, to bed and breakfasts and apartments and I will have to say that the Chardonnay Apartment is by far the best place and location I have ever stayed at! The Chardonnay Apartment is ideally situated in the 7th, 2 blocks from the Champs de Mars and close to everything and anything a visitor to Paris needs and wants (not to mention great restaurants and neighborhood shops - the perfect place for a foodie). The apartment is fabulously and exquisitely furnished with no detail overlooked. It is spacious, comfortable and beautiful. I highly recommend staying in the Chardonnay Apartment and I will definitely stay here again."

“This is our 3rd apartment that we've stayed in with Paris Perfect and as usual, we had a wonderful stay! It was very quaint and comfortable for our family with 2 adults and our children ages 13,11 and 4. Loved the location- a 5 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower and park, a 10 minute walk to the Rue Cler where we bought fresh produce everyday to bring back to our fully equipped kitchen. There were a ton of great restaurants nearby- loved Christian Constant, and Cafe du Marche and Tribeca on the Rue Cler (don't bother with the Italian and French restaurant with the red awning on the corner of Bourdannais before you cross over to Dominique-neither were very good). The nearby boulangeries were incredible- we bought fresh baguettes everyday and chocolate eclairs (The first one on Rue St. Dominique was our favorite!)The Pont D'Alma station was a 5 minute walk with a direct line to Notre Dame and also to Versaille, which was so convenient. My daughter and I loved shopping on the Rue De Commerce, which was recommended in the apartment guide, and it was one of the best shopping streets in Paris for real people! We've been to Paris now the last 8 years in a row and would not consider staying anywhere else other than a Paris Perfect apartment- their staff and the information they provide is the best."

“We just returned from our wonderful stay in Paris. We are so glad we stayed in a Paris Perfect apt. The location was great We could walk around our neighborhood and get breakfast, pick up food for lunch and return for a relaxing dinner. A couple of blocks to the Metro and we went everywhere easily. The apt has all appliances and we appreciated the internet use and the washer/dryer and iron. We also highly recommend the cooking class at Le Violon - it was so much fun. "

“This was our first time taking our two daughters 9 and 11 to Paris. The apartment was the the way to go! We loved the location. The apartment was nicely furnished with very comfortable beds and bedding. The girls especially loved having the Eiffel tower right in clear view. The manual that is left in the apartment by the team is so helpful. We felt a bit like true Parisians that week. We would definitely go back to this apartment. I would most likely want to rent one with two toilets but the location of this one can't be beat. Thank for having us!"

The [Chardonnay] apartment was delightful. You thought of every convenience one has at home (and then some). Chardonnay is filled with beautiful antiques and beautiful PARIS light! It is in a terrific neighborhood filled with excellent restaurants and shopping, and is a wonderful 'walking' neighborhood.”

“Thanks Paris Perfect for a memorable visit to the City of Light! The apartment was just right for our family of four plus Grandma. Clean, bright, and comfortable. It was a classic Parisian apartment according to local friends who came to visit. We felt like true residents by the end of the week, getting comfortable with the neighborhood and shopping at the G-20 and the Rue Cler market. The recommendations in your guide helped us have an even better experience. The weather was perfect also. Did you do that too? Just a great time - we hope to return soon!”
