Situated on the corner of Rue des Ecoles, the apartment’s windows look onto a picturesque historical street between the Pantheon and Boulevard St. Germain... This is the site of the theological colleges of medieval Paris. La Sorbonne and l’Ecole Poly technique are nearby, and when you step out of the apartment building, you can see the spires of Notre Dame de Paris, a short ten-minute walk.
The apartment is also within walking distance of the Musée de Cluny, the Jardin du Luxembourg, Boulevard St. Michel, Boulevard St. Germain, and the Seine at Notre Dame. Marche Maubert, an open market with great cheeses, meats, and produce, is open Tuesdays and Saturdays, and is just one block away.
The neighborhood abounds with food stores, restaurants, cafes, and shops; and many of the famous parks, cathedrals, museums, and sites of Paris are at your fingertips.
The Apartment: An elevator takes you to the French first floor (American second floor) where you enter the apartment and step into a small, elegant living room with a sofabed, a round table large enough for four, and comfortable chairs. A stereo with CD player, tape deck, and radio is provided for your entertainment. The marble fireplace, fabric wall coverings, and attractive drapes give the room ambiance.
The fully equipped new kitchenette contains a small sink, four electric burners, conventional oven, microwave oven, full-size refrigerator with freezer compartment, a dishwasher, a coffee maker, as well as all the pots, pans, dishes, and utensils you'll need for both quick snacks and complete dinners. There is a convenient pass-through window and counter opening into the living room.
The bedroom has a double bed, a wall of closets, and a cable television. A new, well-lit bathroom contains a shower, washbasin, heated towel racks, toilet, and clothes washing machine. One-dial heat and air conditioning and double-glazed windows ensure your comfort both winter and summer.
With its wonderful Latin Quarter neighborhood brimming with shops, open markets, cafes, and restaurants; and its close proximity to the lovely parks, museums, and sights of Paris, this apartment will give you memories to last a lifetime!
