This resort-like ocean view 5 Bedroom 3 bath residence with swimming pool, stream and waterfalls is ideally located on a quiet cul-de-sac in Kailua-Kona just minutes from the beach, Kailua-Kona and Keauhou.From the moment you walk through the sculptured gate, into the private, tropically landscaped pool and hot tub area, the sound of the stream and waterfalls floods your senses. Immediately you are drawn through the opened bi-fold doors onto the very large covered lanai, where the gentle breezes sweep through the house, and the ocean view captures your attention.This home is perfect for family vacations with its multiple living and entertaining areas: the pool and hot tub, living room with surround sound entertainment system, a cozy sitting room adjacent to the open kitchen, a lanai “living room” and dining area (with a teak dining table for 6 that easily extends to comfortable seat 10), as well as a lower level family/game room. With your iTunes or internet-based song library, you can connect through the wifi system to the stereo system, and additional wireless speakers extend music wherever you care to place them.On the main level, in addition to the living room, sitting room, fully equipped kitchen and lanai with its living and dining areas, you will find the romantic and spacious Master Bedroom with walk-in closet and en suite bathroom, two additional bedrooms (one with a queen size bed, the other with two twin beds and a lofted twin bed futon sleeping area) and second bath. Downstairs is a fourth bedroom with queen bed, and a large game and TV family room with pull out queen size sofa bed. This family room also has a sliding glass door with access to the lawn area. Also on the lower level is the third bath and laundry room. Ceiling fans throughout help carry the already cooling breezes from the ocean. My husband and I, along with another couple stayed in this condo. Good things first: The condo is beautiful and the view is amazing. Condo is also very clean and current. Beds are very comfortable and the showers are nice. We will definitely be back to these condos but will not rent this condo again until they have more ammenities. My husband and I had the opportunity to check out these condos on a previous visit to Kona and knew that this would be the perfect place to stay on our vacation on future visits. The listing of this property does not accurately reflect the ammenities and I have the following complaints regarding this condo: 1) This is my largest complaint. The listing claims that A/C is included in the price for this property. I also confirmed that A/C would be included with the listing agent at the time of booking and I was assured that the condo had a fantastic A/C that was at our control. I was very frustrated to discover that I did not have control over the A/C. There is a lock box covering the A/C unit and the A/C is preset to 78 degrees (warmer than the outside air temp) I called the listing agent to complain and was told there was nothing they could/would do. 2) The listing also claims that there is a lanai and Gas/Electric BBQ and while there is a beautiful Lanai, there is no BBQ. I phoned the listing agent and was told that the BBQ is at the community pool area (not visible from the condo) and that we would have to walk over there to use a BBQ. Other condos for rent include a BBQ on the lanai and I beleive that this is false advertising of this condo. 3) Kitchen has very limited cooking utensils. There is one mid-size pot and three small saute pans. These pots and pans are very cheap and hard to clean. The plastic spoons and spatulas are also very cheap and melt when introduced to anything hot (probably not BPA free) I have never seen utensils melt or change shape when put in the dishwasher. I love to have a nice glass of wine in the evening with dinner; unfortunately, we were drinking out of plastic tumblers because there are no wine glasses. There is also no colander (strainer) for straining pasta, veggies, potatoes, etc. I hope that the owner of this property will make the following changes and additions in the future: Allow the tenant to control the A/C (or provide A/C at an added cost to the tenant) Purchase a BBQ for the Lanai Upgrade the kitchen utensils and buy some wine glasses.Did you find this review helpful?
