Welcome to Whisper Lake Chateau! You’ll love this 3100 square foot, lakefront house at 3500 feet elevation. Nestled in the wood, this spacious, newly-built house has two living areas with sliding glass doors that open to wrap-around decks overlooking a beautiful pristine lake and mountains. Enjoy the sounds of the waterfall and creek, the beauty of rhododendrons and mountain laurels, and the waterfowl activities.
Located in Whisper Lake Resort community of Sapphire Valley Resort, our guests have access to ALL facilities and amenities of the Sapphire Valley Resort such as tennis, golf and miniature golf, ping pong, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, sauna, steam room, game and fitness centers, as well as downhill skiing (details of the amenities and activities are listed on our link website). As our guests, you receive guest cards upon check-in with a list of amenities and schedule of activities.
A wooded pathway leading to the peaceful Whisper Lake on the back of the property will bring you to good fishing and canoeing (we have a canoe for your use; only paddle boats are allowed in Whisper Lake). For those outdoor enthusiast, numerous hiking and biking trails, magnificent waterfalls, trout streams, whitewater rivers, and state parks/forests (i.e. Pisgah, Gorges and Nantahala) are near by.
Our two-story, chateau home has two living room areas each with a stone fireplace and TV/VCR/DVD sets, ideal for two families (or one family with teenagers) who want to vacation together. The high cathedral wooden ceilings, hard wood floors, and numerous windows overlooking the lake create an open mountain atmosphere for this luxury chateau.
All bedrooms are spacious with plenty of windows and separate bathrooms. The master bedroom suite has a Jacuzzi tub, walk-in shower, and bay window overlooking the lush forest vegetation of a creek. Another bedroom features a walk out deck and sliding glass doors overlooking a magnificent view of the lake. The loft bedroom features French doors and a view of the lake and mountains through chalet windows. There are three queen-size and one-king size beds; in addition, there are two queen-size sofabeds. In addition to the living room areas, there is a playroom that has games, videos, and books available for children and adults.
Our kitchen is well equipped and features maple cabinets and a counter bar with bar stools. The kitchen connects directly to a sunlight eating area with a bay window as well as to a formal dining area that overlooks the lake. An outdoor stainless steel 2 burner gas grill is also available for those who like to grill fresh fish or steak outside. For those who like to dine out, there are many good restaurants in Cashiers and Sapphire Valley Resort areas.

4 nights minimum. Off Peak $380/day, 3 nights minimum
Weekly Rentals are from Saturday through Saturday.
A $29,95 convenient fee will be added for payments with credit cards.
