RECEPTIVE STRUCTURE. Villa Gaia is immersed among the olive trees, vineyards and woods of the green Tuscan hills between the provinces of Siena and Grosseto. The hillside property has a beautiful view over the Val d’Orcia and the surrounding countryside. The property is composed of two separate buildings just a few metres apart and at the complete disposal of the guests. There is a swimming pool, a jacuzzi for 7 persons and a multi-use room that can by used only for yoga and meditation. The large park, which surrounds the structure, is ideal for taking long walks in close contact with nature along the hiking trail inside the woods. The splendid verandas are ideal for spending a pleasant relaxing evening with a glass of good wine. On the same property grounds but outside the fenced area of Villa Gaia, on a lower level, there is a small restaurant managed by the owner, who is pleased to invite you to sample the traditional dishes and offer you favorable prices. Villa Gaia is particularly suited to organized groups looking for a relaxing holiday, meditating in comfort. Also its geographic position, close to the sea and the Tuscan towns of Siena, Montalcino, Montepulciano and Pienza, make Villa Gaia an excellent departure point for daily excursions.
Interior
The main building, developed on two levels, is divided into two apartments with tiled floors and beamed ceilings. Entrance to the ground floor is directly from the car park and leads into the large comfortably furnished living room with sofa's and fireplace. The living room leads on into the fully equipped kitchen and the dining room with its large wooden table for 24 people. A French window leads out from the dining room to the covered veranda with a marble and wrought iron table. The three double bedrooms, the two twin bedrooms and the five bathrooms, four with shower and the other with hydro massage tub, are located on the left and right side of the living areas. An external tiled staircase leads up to the first floor where there is a loggia with wood and pizza oven, a large, tastefully furnished living room with fireplace and piano, fully equipped kitchen, two double bedrooms, one twin bedroom, two bathrooms with shower and a small laundry room. The living room leads out on to a splendid terrace with marble and wrought iron table overlooking the valley. Externally, there is another laundry room. The single storey annex, not far from the main house, has a large living room with fireplace and comfortable sofa's, fully equipped kitchen, three double bedrooms, one twin bedroom and four bathrooms with shower. All the furniture, is antique wood dating from the 19th century, has been carefully chosen by the owner and fits in perfectly with the surrounding area.
Park
The 12.000 m² park is composed of vineyard, olive trees and woodland. The 6.000 m² garden is cultivated as lawn with bushes and low trees. The garden has been carefully planned, with much attention to detail, by the owner in collaboration with Novello, the famous landscape gardener.
Swimming Pool
The private pool at guests disposal is situated about 20 metres from the property and measures 14 x 7 m with a depth varying from 1,20 to 2 m. Also present is a jacuzzi suitable for 7 people. Near the pool there is a 100 m² wooden gazebo equipped with deckchairs, tables and chairs. The pool is open from the last Saturday of April to the first Saturday of October. Outside the fenced area of Villa Gaia on a lower terrace there is a second pool with thermal water which is not at the exclusive use of Villa Gaia’s guests and open to the public. The pool has an irregular form which has a surface of 120 sq. mt. and a constant dept of 1,10 m. In the case guests wish to have this second pool at their exclusive use only, then this can be arranged at an additional cost and in agreement with the owner.
