If your visualize spending your Blue Ridge Mountain getaway in an exceptional log cabin with quality furnishings, convenient location, large covered porch, and much more, then let us welcome you to Cozy Bear Cabin. With a peaceful location on a private road, this home is still just five minutes from historic downtown Boone NC and Appalachian State University, with paved access for all but the last quarter mile.
Step into the comfortable, open living area and enjoy the sunny interior, with quality leather furniture and a large flat screed HDTV. Look out any window on this floor and see nothing but nature! If it’s snowing outside, be sure to enjoy a fire in the large stone fireplace before you sit down with your family for a meal around the large dining table. With new stainless appliances in the kitchen, and a gas grill on your back deck, cooking is again a pleasure. Relax in a rocking chair on the large covered porch with your morning coffee and watch the sunrise, or slip out after dark and just try to count the endless stars overhead.
This Boone NC log cabin can easily accommodate up to three adult couples and three children. The main level has two bedrooms – the first with a comfortable king bed and flat screen television, the second with a queen. Upstairs, the large master bedroom has a king bed, flat screen tv and private bath. There is also a large loft bedroom upstairs for the kids, with a bunk that has a double on the bottom and twin on top. Kids love the large carved turtle that keeps them company here.
Evenings are often spent in the lower level of Cozy Bear Cabin, where many favorite amenities are located. The family room features a foosball table, board games, and another television with video game system, and comfortable seating with a leather sofa and love seat. From here, it is just steps to the hot tub right outside, another great vantage point to enjoy all the stars. There is also a full-size ping pong table in the garage.
Any time of year, visitors also enjoy the outdoor firepit, perfect for roasting hot dogs or marshmallows. And if you enjoy golf, there is a popular public course less than one mile from the cabin. The central location of this cabin provides easy access to most popular tourist attractions throughout the area, and is a great starting point for all of your mountain adventures.
For larger groups, consider renting this cabin with nearby Bairds Creek Cabin, Cat's Creek Cabin, Brown Bear Retreat, Diamond Creek Lodge or Silver Oak Lodge.
Cozy Bear Cabin is located just on the edge of Boone, and has paved access until the final .5 miles, which require 4WD during inclement winter weather. This is a dog-friendly home.
Please remember, 4WD or chains are always recommended when visiting the mountains in winter.
