Looking for a riverfront luxury cabin that is family friendly with just about every amenity you can think of? The good news is your search is over now that you have found New River Ramble, our newest log cabin rental right on North Carolina’s New River! Be it summer fun with the bike riding, river tubing, canoeing, kayaking, horseback riding or winter fun in the large gameroom with pool table, large flat screen HDTV with video games or autumn roasting marshmallows in the large firepit out back by the river, this home truly provides fun and enjoyment no matter the season. The bad news is your family may never want to leave!
The living room is furnished with comfortable leather furniture, including an inviting recliner sofa and large flat screen HDTV with surround sound – enjoy one of the movies from the video library on chilly winter evenings around the cozy gas fireplace. For those who do the cooking, the open kitchen is a delight to work in with quality stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. The dining table offers seating for eight, or during warmer weather enjoy outdoor dining on the covered deck looking out toward the river.
Rest up for your outdoor activities in one of our four sleeping areas, each with pillow top mattress and especially nice linens. The master is on the main level with king bed and flat screen HDTV. Upstairs, you will find the sunny loft bedroom with queen bed; second bedroom with queen bed, flat screen HDTV and Wii; and third bedroom with queen and flat screen HDTV.
In the morning, have your coffee while watching the mist rise from the historic New River out back- the oldest river in North America, and the second oldest in the world. One of only fourteen American Heritage Rivers in the United States, it is home to several Federal Endangered species, rare aquatic animals and endemic species found only in this area. Be sure to keep your eyes open for them!
In warm weather, spend your days riding bikes along the old Railroad Grade road, ten flat paved miles running along the New River, one of the most popular biking routes in our area. Or float down the river, whether in a river tube, kayak or canoe. Or cool off in a swimming hole. Or catch your own trout to cook up on your gas grill or over an open fire in your firepit. Or walk over to The Riverside for a quick bite, live music most weekends, or even some horseback riding! Or head to the Todd General Store for storytelling and a glimpse of the good old days. Or head to the nearby slopes during winter for skiing, snow tubing, ice skating and snow shoeing. Or…….
For indoor fun, New River Ramble features one of our best gamerooms. Choose your favorite - there is a pool table, foosball table, pinball machine, ping pong table, and table video arcade. Or enjoy the large flat screen television while waiting for your turn at the games.
After all this activity, enjoy a relaxing soak in the large hot tub outside facing the river. Or head into Boone, Blowing Rock or Banner Elk and try some of our fantastic area restaurants, shops, performing and visual arts, or if it is football season, be sure to check out our Appalachian State Mountaineers – you know, the ones you saw on the cover of Sports Illustrated?!
No matter the season, no matter your passions, New River Ramble is an inviting escape for you and your family. Few cabins here in the North Carolina High Country have so much to offer throughout the year, and all arranged with care for the best of mountain getaways!
New River Ramble has paved access all the way to the driveway.
Larger groups may enjoy renting this home with Andrew's River Haven (37543) or Cruizin' River Dreams (79669) just two doors down.
Please remember 4WD or chains are always recommended when visiting the mountains in winter.

We really loved your house. Thank you for sharing it wiht us. The kids has so much fun and so did we. It first we were afraid of the road but became old hands at it and it added to our adventure. Suggest Blowing Rock and downtwon Boone for walking about.

Thank you so much for all the help during this weather. We had a great time with fire going and snow outside. We were snowed in for a couple of days and loved it!

We love the bear theme and enjoyed relaxing in Cozy Bear cabin so much that we did not want to leave. Your home is warm, inviting, and decorated beautifully to reflect the surrounding alpine wildlife. Having this retreat to return to after strenuous hiking at the Linville Gorge allowed us to refresh for our next adventure. The location is perfect for accessing the many attractions in this area. The setting is also perfect on top of the hill with an excellent view of the neighboring mountains. We will be back to enjoy the autumn colors this fall. "Nice bear den"Steve and Doris Kerr and family
