Spent a weekend at this lovely home with several friends and their kids. The property is absolutely beautiful, and there is so much privacy and land, it was perfect for us. Kids loved using the kayaks, tubes and basketball hoop. Plenty of space for several families to spread out, everyone had a bed (with beds to spare!) - we did not feel crowded in the least. Be sure you get instructions on how to close the dishwasher because there's a trick to it. We are all hoping to go back to this lovely property!

As we arrived at the property our first thought, yea that is a big house, which is what we needed for our large group. The management company was there to great us and go over the particulars and made everything really easy. There really is a long section of river access right on the property and the fact that they had tubes, kayaks, and a canoe was awesome. The property is located just below the damn, so the water was calm letting us just float and paddle around with out getting taken down river. No load motor boats running around either. The outside shower was nice, and the hot tub on the balcony was a big hit. There was a large field were we could play bocce ball, football and frisbee. The other rooms and amenities were very nice. Beds were comfortable, plenty of bathrooms and showers, and space for a large group. Kitchen had all the pots and pans, utensils etc needed to cook a feast....and we did for every meal.

Family Reunion Fun!
Family Reunion Fun!
Family members came from all over the US to get together at this delightful home on the river. The house was clean, comfuortable, and served every need of a large group with ease. There is lots of room for visiting, relaxing, and play. Our hosts provided entertainment with movies, games, toobs, and kayacks...we provided the "silly". There were 21 people in our group, and we all had comfortable beds, and never had to wait for a bathroom to be available! (And FYI...I wish I had the same wonderful water pressure in my showers at home!) The kitchen was big enough to accomodate several cooks, and included two ovens and a huge pantry. There was ample seating in the living room for movies and TV; and that dining room table was everything I had hoped for! We were able to dine together, and play games and cards in the evening. It was amusing to see all the laptops lined up on that table every morning while breakfast was being prepared. Thank heavens for WIFI! Even on vacation, our "nerds" had to keep connected. Outside there was more than enough space for the children to run, a volleyball net, basketball and BBQ. The "wildlife" included a wide assortment of potato bugs and caterpillers to entertain the four and six year old boys. My bother had the opportunity to visit two air museums in the area, my neice and her husband took a trip to the Alamo one afternoon, grownups and children alike enjoyed a trip to the San Antonio Zoo, and of course, a day at Schlitterbahn! All in all, a wonderful place to vacation! Our hosts were unbelievably accomodating; generous with their time and immediately responsive to any question or request. I have searched my mind for a negative..(nothing should be perfect, right?), the only thing that I can come up with is that five days was not long enough! I would definitely recommend this home to anyone looking for a haven from the real world....a vacation spot with something for everyone!
