  We love, love, love this cabin! I have rented houses in many states through VRBO, this cabin exceeded all our expectations. The decor and amenities rival any B and B. We really appreciated the personal touches throughout the cabin. The fresh plants, nice linens, fresh fruit, wine and goodie basket were such welcome bonuses. Our group of 6, 2 moms with their adult daughters, used the cabin for a girls' weekend. We spent time just sitting on the private deck in back enjoying the flowers and fountain and gorgeous weather. The cabin is very comfortable and immaculate and had everything we needed and more! The resort itself was very quiet this weekend which was just what we wanted. The girls did take a trail ride. I look forward to coming back with the grand kids to enjoy more of the resort activities. Thank you for providing everything promised. We will be back!

  Extremely clean and well maintained, modern cabin with many special touches. Loved all the horsey themes throughout and the owner was very professional yet personable. Wish we had more time!

  We had some concerns when there was a mix up with dates, but this owner more than made up for it by personally finding us a beautiful location to stay at for a couple of days, that is just how wonderful the owner is, so vacationers no need to worry you are in good hands. Jack (the owner) is so personable and conscientious down to every detail and he bent over backwards to accomodate our needs, wishes etc. I am not a camper and was wondering what i had gotten myself into until we pulled up to this cute little cabin in the woods, at least it appeared to be little, but i was so pleasantly surprised when we opened the door as to how much larger it was in person. It was lovely inside and and very welcoming with a fruit basket on the table left for us and the fireplaces lit. There is so much to do (or not) in the area for young or old. I would definitely recommend this vacation spot to anyone. Jack thank you so much for all you did to accomodate us, Blessings and good health in the coming year and praying your daughters wedding is a wonderful day for all of you. The Brady Bunch : )

  We stayed with 2 other couples and a single friend for a wedding in New Era. It was a great location and a great deal for the 7 of us. Things on the resort were pricey but there are plenty of things to do within 15 min of the cabin. We took our 20 month old son to the beach and on the tour of Country Dairy, an awesome place to get good food and fresh milk! We spent a day in Whitehall, had lunch at the Harbor View Grill and saw the world's largest weather vane! The guys golfed at Oceana Golf Club on their $1 golf Fridays. Also the weather was a fantastic break from the midwestern heat of this summer.

  My family and I spent an amazing weekend at the Cabin. Jack was so friendly and had the fire going when we arrived so that we felt we had entered our own private paradise! He thought of everything to make our stay great. We did go to Double JJ waterpark - fun! and enjoyed going on a horse back rides and the petting zoo. We cannot wait to come back!!

  We stayed at Jack's cabin last weekend. It was absolutely beautiful and exactly what I was hoping for. It was clean and welcoming and awesome. We loved it. We will definitely return. If you want a great place to stay....pick this one. Thank you!!!

  This is the 2nd cabin located in the Back Fourty that we have stayed in at Double JJ Ranch and it blows the other one out of the water. Aside from the upgraded features and decor, Jack also left a fruit basket and a bottle of wine for us. If/when we come back, we will rent from Jack!

  As usual I relied on customer reviews..and they were all true. Then I spoke to Jack, He is honest and most hospitable guy ever..Thanks Jack We had some of the best time ever, everything was perfect...We wanted to leave something form you, but got caught up with kids, We will see you again. It takes lot to be kind, generous and be nice, people like you, are rare to find. Wish you happy days ahead!

  Jack and Vicki have done a wonderful job of making this log home a very special place to stay. We stayed only 3 nights. They had everything we needed ready - the lights were on to welcome us, plenty of bath towels, a wonderful fruit basket, air conditioning, and enough beds and space for our family of 5. I definitely recommend anyone visiting the area to stay here. We didn't take advantage of Double JJ Ranch. We already had plans to go to the Silver Lake Dunes (about 30 min away) and Michigan Adventures Amusement Park (10 min away). Both are fun places to go with a family. You want the personal touch and a very, very clean home - rent from Jack and Vicki.
