  Little Peice of Heaven......That it is.....Wow, where do I begin? My husband, myself and our 2 young children ages 7 & 9 had the most wonderful family vacation in this amazing home. Our first night we were greeted by the homeowner. He arrived with beautiful native flowers that he had just cut from the property. He was very kind and gracious and happy to meet us! He then got a coconut that had fallen from one of the coconut trees on the property. We gathered the children so they could see him slice it in half, he also made the kids straws from some sort of grass. they then got to have the fresh coconut meat and drink the juice all while sitting in front of the beautiful sea! speaking of sea, did I mention the sea turtles that become like your family?! they are pretty amazing creatures that are quite used to humans living along side them...Incredible!! We love this home and have so many amazing memories and can't wait to return! The home itself was very clean and equipped with everything you could possibly need. We enjoyed the views every evening while enjoying mai tai's that we prepared in the very luxurious kitchen. granite counter tops, large working island, stainless steel appliances...the home was very well thought out and lends itself perfectly for an active hawaiian lifestyle..everything is tasteful and easy to clean. You wake to a cup of Kona coffee, surfers out in the surf, turtles swimming and the most amazing views! Grab a book and jump in the hammock for a realaxing morning followed by a wonderful day of sight seeing followed by an incredible evening! So glad we chose this home :) THANK YOU!!! Also, we received our deposit back within 2 weeks of departure, that was very nice! This home is the total Hawaiian experience! Mahalo from a very happy family!!

  In booking our holiday we spent a lot of time reading reviews to really try to get a feel for how our chosen property would suit us. Let me say the reviews on this property are spot on! We arrived to be met by the owner who was very welcoming and spent time with us patiently answering our eager questions about the Big Island. The rock pool in front of the house had two turtles just hanging out and completely unfazed by our presence. One or both were there for our entire stay. The house itself is clean and has everything you need. One of the very pleasant surprises was that the bed was very comfortable so we slept very well. Its proximity to Kona is perfect, a walk or short drive but just far enough out of town (like a 2 minute drive). The snorkelling out the front is great and if you like ocean swimming you can get as much as you like. The little left hand surf break opposite just spits out nice wave all day. Running from here down the famous Ali'i Drive of the Kona Ironman is also a buzz. Where this place comes into its own is as the sun sinks over the horizon. A bottle of wine watching the sunset is perfect and you wouldn't want to be anywhere else. Would I recommend this to anyone else? Absolutely. Were there any drawbacks? None. Our time on the Big Island was perfect and largely due to this beautiful home we stayed in.

  Within minutes of arriving my 12 year old niece discovered two sea turtles in the cove right behind the house. It was just that magical for the entire stay. The outdoor kitchen/dining area was where we spent most of our waking hours, aside from when we were roaming around the big island. We also loved the fact that we had easy access to the touristy areas but weren't right in amongst them. In all, we had a truly wonderful stay and would love to repeat as often as possible. Mahalo.

  My boyfriend and I stayed here in Dec.2012. It was a beautiful space. We loved cooking in the outdoor kitchen and eating most nights as the sun set. Every A.M. we awoke to the waves lapping at our door. It was peaceful and beautiful and so relaxing. Every afternoon the turtles would visit and bask in the sun. They knew a good thing. It was very private yet so close to everything. I also just loved the cozy bed with the nice linens every night. The shower was open airy and just nice. I would recommend this place to Family and friends it is clean, very tastefully decorated and just a serene experience. The owner was attentive to our every need but at the same time gave us complete privacy.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, people with disabilities, pet owners, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, tourists without a car.

  We were lucky enough to stay here for 9 days over the holidays. The house is incredible. Even better than the photos. It is right on the ocean with a perfect view of a popular surf break. The house is small but very comfortable, and the outdoor kitchen and dining area is where we spent most of our time. You can walk to town though it is a couple of miles. We mostly swam, surfed and gazed at the ocean while reading and drinking cocktails. If you venture to town (and you should at some point, even though it is hard to leave the house) don't miss dinner at Huggo's on the Rocks - live music, your feet in the sand, and a Hawaiian Rainbow to drink!

  Little Piece of Heaven is just that! It is even more beautiful than the photos make it appear. The views are stunning, we had visiting turtles on the beach everyday, cooking outdoors in a well equipped kitchen was a blast, and the bed was so cozy. My husband also loved surfing in the cove each morning. This home is an easy walk into downtown Kona where there are lots of kitschy bars and restaurants. This was the last island we visited on our 3-week Hawaiian vacation so we were over sightseeing. As a result, we hung around the house, the local beaches, and downtown Kona for the most part and loved every minute of it. We were lucky to have great weather while we were there - the only downside I could see to this place would be if the weather weren't great as your living space would decrease dramatically. All in all, I'd highly recommend A Little Piece of Heaven to anyone who wants a unique, waterfront living experience!

  We stayed here during the Ironman World Championships. It was everything we expected and so much more! It is a beautiful home in a beautiful location. Ali made us feel very welcomed. Would definitely stay again.

  I was lucky enough to stay here for 6 days. It was so very relaxing it was hard to leave to see other places. You could just sit and stare out into the ocean for hours. Turtles swim right up to the back of the house. We saw whales jump and expel water out their blowhole. You go to sleep to the sound of the waves and wake up to the same. Believe it or not... we brought our Insanity Workout tapes ...just face the ocean while working out makes it a lot easier! I totally recommend this place!

  Let us start by saying we will be back. This waterfront home was perfect for us in so many ways. We absolutely loved the outdoor kitchen and dining and enjoyed watching the sunsets while cooking meals. The family of turtles right outside our doorstep made every day special. The place and its surroundings have complete privacy and an unmatched serenity. In addition to being directly on Lynams bay, its location was ideal for exploring both North and South of Kona. The owners were good to deal with and couldn't have been more gracious during our stay - already thinking about booking our next trip to a Little Piece of Heaven.

  My partner and I found this place on VRBO and decided to give it a shot. After spending a week at this water-front home, I can say that the photos in the ad do NOT do this place justice. It is a magnificent, architectural wonder. We've traveled far and wide and rent homes regularly, and this was our favorite by far. The outdoor kitchen and sitting are divine. We spent most of our time cooking, dining outside and sipping wine, overlooking the gorgeous scenery. Our nights were spent in the comfortable, indoor master bedroom with all the sliding glass doors opened so we could lull ourselves to sleep listening to the waves crashing on the rocks five feet from the house. The owner is kind and generous, and catered to our every need. Everything is new. The wi-fi worked flawlessly (although we found ourselves not wanting to spend as much time on email as we normally do when on vacation!!). The location is perfect. Away from the hustle and bustle, but close enough to town for regular excursions. Don't miss the National Volcano Park. In sum, we more than highly recommend this rental. You will not be disappointed. Aloha!
