Thank you Dave & Tammie for opening up your beautiful log home for rentals. It was absolutely perfect for me & my husband and our whole family get together. The home was well equipped with things we needed and it was so peaceful there and I don’t believe we could have found a better place to stay. We all were very grateful it was available during that week and I would recommend your home to anyone looking for a comfortable, spacious & beautiful place to stay in the Woodland Park area! Thanks also for being so quick to reply to emails and it was great to get ideas on things to do too!
Owner response:We are so thrilled that you loved the place. I heard that you were able to experience the Fall colors. You can't beat the beauty of the change of colors in the Rocky Mountains. September and October in the Rockies have such an invigorating crisp clean feel that is hard to describe! I am glad that you found everything you needed. We continue to add new things all the time so we hope you'll come back and visit again!

This place is well maintained and loaded with many kitchen utensils. It is quiet and secluded in the woods. The owner thoughtfully provided a humidifier in the master bedroom and individual heaters downstairs in each bedroom in addition to the central air conditioning system, so it will suit different needs. It is great for family vacation. We had a very relaxing time there.

Great Time at the Cabin

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this amazing cabin. It had every convenience needed to feel like a home away from home! Everything you need is at your fingertips. We loved the way the cabin is close to many things to do. You only have to go down the road to Woodland Park or you can go and enjoy all Colorado Springs has to offer. Our only regret was that we didn’t plan ahead to add a few more days on our trip to just sit and enjoy the view on the fabulous deck. Pike’s Peak is a majestic sight to see right from the window or the deck. Soaking in the beautiful surroundings is peaceful in and of itself. We woke up to wildlife in the yard every morning and even a beautiful deer one morning, which thrilled the kids. We are already looking forward to going back. Maybe fall or winter?

My family just spent a week in this wonderful home while attending a family reunion. The home is perfectly situated - right outside Woodland Park, easy to get to hiking, tourist sites, etc, but secluded and quiet. We enjoyed the spectacular views of Pikes Peak and just relaxing in the peaceful atmosphere. We cooked most meals at home and the kitchen was very well equipped - it had everything we needed. The house itself is gorgeous and we all very much enjoyed our stay here.

A Wonderful and Relaxing Weeki

Oh my goodness, where do I begin? Dave and Tammy's home is wonderful and what a blessing that they want to share it with people. We had our children and our grandchildren with us for the week and I couldn't have imagined anything better. The first thing you notice when you arrive is the beautiful view and surroundings; the house is large, spacious enough for several people, and immaculate, and has everything. Dave and Tammy thought of everything. Anything you need is already there - a home just waiting for you to relax and enjoy!! While the children and grandchildren did a lot of sightseeing, PaPa and I enjoyed the peace and quiet and wonderful views of mountains. We took long walks through the woods and enjoyed the convenience of Woodland Park just 5 minutes away. We recommend the Cog Train trip to Pikes Peak and the many wonderful restaurants of Old Colorado City and Manitou Springs. The kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves as well. There are so many things for the children to do that are just minutes away. You can spend your day at Garden of the Gods and Cave of the Winds and then enjoy a quiet dinner at home or an evening out at the many restaurants that are so close. You will also get to see so much of the wildlife every day - it was such a great experience for my grandbabies! We can only imagine how beautiful it must be with the snowfalls- and we would love to return to see that. We felt so blessed and so lucky to be able to enjoy this beautiful home and the beautiful mountains of Colorado. Thank you Dave and Tammy. God Bless. The Milata/Wyrick Clan - June 2011.

Thank you for staying with ColoradoLogHomeRental.com and we hope to hear from you again on future visits to the Rockies!

This was my annual retreat with girlfriends and I could not have asked for more ! The big living room window and deck look out on a gorgeous mountain view. The interior and exterior of the home is immaculate with all the things you could want to make your stay comfortable (fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, gas grill, patio furniture, games/books/videos, etc.) We mainly wanted to just relax and unwind, but when we wanted to get out and about, we found Manitou Springs a delightful place to visit and shop. The owners were VERY generous and accomodating for us. Thank you for allowing us to experience your Colorado home!!

This Rocky Mountain Log Home has it all! The Kitchen is well stocked with spices and plenty of dishes and cooking pots and pans. The view is spectacular and the area is quiet except for an occational vehicle going by. There is plenty of room for you to be with a loarge group or to slip away fro some quiet time. The beds are wonderful and the rooms are a nice size. Having wireless internet capability is also a plus. There are plenty of movies to choose from if you want to spend an evening watching with the family and a nice selection of good books to read. I had a delightful time living in this cabin for a week and hope to return again. It was too cold for us to be out on the deck while there but we did use the gas grill and I imagine the deck experience would be a nice and the rest of the house. the description was accruate and the photos are too. the cabin was clean and well maintained. The owners were easy to work with and answered any questions we had. I would highly recommend this this beautiful house for a getaway. Manitou Springs and Woodland Park are only a few miles away and there are plenty of restaurants and things to do.

Our family rented the Woodland Park Log Cabin to attend a wedding in Woodland Park. What a beautiful, truly log cabin! We had kids and grand kids and there was enough room and beds and blankets for everyone, the bathrooms and showers were great. The kitchen had everything we needed. What a view!! Pikes Peak was right there visible from the deck! We needed 4 wheel drive SUV's for the packed snow on the road but there was not trouble at all with the 4 wheel drive cars! We enjoyed it for our winter stay, it would be even better for a summer stay. It is close to town, to run back for some groceries, etc. It was very close to all the events we had to go to for the wedding. It was better than the pictures that we saw on line. Thanks for letting us share your log cabin!
Owner response:John, thank you so much for your wonderful review, and we are happy to know that the place is even better than the pictures. We think so too, but it's hard to get that point across until you actually get to see it. We feel very blessed that we were able to offer something that created a meaningful and memorable experience for your family. It is those things in life that are truly important. We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay and we do hope you come back to rent with us again. You were a joy to work with.
