  This house was clean and comfortable. It had everything you need for a great vacation. Close to beach. Great pool area. Close to shops. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone to wants to vacation in Destin area. We will definitely return. One month was not long enough!!!!

  After looking at countless properties online, we chose Cottage By The Sea in Destin and couldn't be happier! The reservation process was very easy and handled professionally. We arrived at the house late Sunday afternoon, and it was clean, cool, and exactly as pictured. The pool area is nice, and the beach is just a short walk (a little over a block, easily walked in about 3-4 minutes with a Public Access walkway to the beach), however if you plan on taking beach chairs and coolers as we did, you may want to drive to drop off your things if you don't have a wagon or cart. We especially enjoyed walking to the beach in the evenings to enjoy the ocean at night. We felt safe and never had reservations about walking in the evening. During the day, the beach is great as well with public restrooms and lifeguards close by. The house is also just 2 blocks from a large shopping mall and anything you could possibly need during your stay is within 2-5 minutes. The house itself was perfect and felt just like home (except at the beach!). It is well decorated in neutrals and blues (none of the tacky bright colored beach themes you often find in beach houses!) and we loved the attention to detail, like the nice tile work in the kitchen and master bath. The kitchen is well equipped, just bring along some food, drinks, and extra trash bags, everything else is there. Towels and linens were of good quality, not worn at all, and clean. All three bedrooms were nice, roomy, and comfortable. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was the bed in the master was a bit uncomfortable, possibly due to a broken boxspring (?) We left a note and, based on how well the rest of the house was taken care of, we are certain the management company will address it. There is a screened in back porch which is nice for those buggy Florida nights, and a large open porch on the front which provided just enough shade and privacy to enjoy your morning cup of coffee. Also, an outdoor shower on the side of the house was handy so we could rinse sand off our feet before coming into the house. We will definitely be back!

  I have absolutely no complaints about Cottage by the Sea! My family and I stayed here (with no pets) and it was the perfect setting. The beach was close enough to walk to, the pool was great for days we just wanted to chill out and the house made us feel right at home. The photos were very true to life. Ahh, I miss Destin so much! I would definitely recommend this house to friends and family! What a great vacation! Thanks so much!
