Hello folks and welcome to our Redington Shores Home. We just purchased this condo in December 2003 after vacationing in this area the past 5 years. We fell in love with this condo and hope that you enjoy it as much as we have and will for years to come. My family and I were able to escape the Chicago winter for a few weeks in December, 03 and had a wonderful time at the condo. Highlights include: - A half day fishing charter from John's Pass. The Friendly Fisherman restaurant cooks up whatever you catch, primarily gray snapper, for a whopping $4.95. - Witnessing dolphins playing several of the mornings, typically between 7:30 and 8:00 am, just 50 feet from our balcony in the intercoastal. The kids were ecstatic and quickly became dolphin, manatee, and bird watching fanatics. - Family strolls along the beach every morning. My daughter, age 6, and son, age 8, love to explore the beach and managed to fill 4 buckets full of shells, sponges and sand samples on this trip. My backyard in Chicago is beginning to look like a Florida beach. - There are an abundance of great restaurants in the area ... and many within walking distance of our place. Our favorites include the Frog Pond (for breakfast), The Lobster Pot, Slammers and/or Dockside Daves (for Grouper sandwiches), The Salt Grill, and The Palm Pavilion (Clearwater). - Last but not least, my son and I got hooked on ocean fishing and often found ourselves fishing after dinner from a small public pier just 75 feet south of our building. The fish seem to prefer squid and shrimp. Enjoy your stay and please don't hesitate to contact me if you should need anything. Come see us again soon.
