It's a nice quiet location for a London visit with public transport and supermarkets nearby. Very friendly reception with fresh flowers and a bottle of champaign in the appartment. The bathroom could use an upgrade.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children, tourists without a car.

Our family of 6 stayed here for 3 days in June, 2011. The apartment was furnished with everything we needed and we found the location to be much better than we expected. The Angel underground is less than 3 blocks away and the connection at King's Cross is very quick. Lots of buses service the area but of course they are much slower. Islington is a nice area. We took a lovely walk along the Regent's Canal, had a few good meals at local pubs (The York) and there was a nice park a block away for our toddler. All the big grocery stores are within 2 blocks if you want to cook. The rental agent was very nice to work with. She promptly answered all our emails and was waiting for us at the apartment with wine and beautiful flowers. The 3 flights of stairs didn't bother us but could be difficult for some. We had a great stay.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

The location was great- close to the underground and many busses, but peaceful and quiet. The walk along the canal was enjoyable and the Street Market nearby was lots of fun. The kitchen was well equipped and helpful for cooking at home. The flat was clean and had a nice homey feel. We would recommend this to anyone traveling in London, especially for families. The added sofa bed in the parlor was a nice way to maximize the living space.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children, tourists without a car.

Our family of two adults and three children really enjoyed our five nights at this property. Key criteria for us were to find a property that allowed us to feel like we were living in London - rather than just staying in London - and yet was close to shops and the Tube. This property was far enough away from the busy streets yet close enough to facilities to make it very easy to feel at home there. The owners were evidently keen to ensure we enjoyed our time there and were responsive and professional from the time of booking through to our departure. We would happily stay there again!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children, tourists without a car.

Why the Owner Chose Islington:
The apartment is in a lovely period building in a fantastic central and quiet location of Central London. The very short walk to Angel and Kings Cross station with Eurostar close by makes travelling around London and to Paris such an easy thing to do. Islington is such a vibrant part of London that you never need to leave! Buses are the most convenient way to travel around the city and leave from the high street every 2-5 minutes.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
The period building has typical London character in design and appearance, made of London stock brick and with traditional sliding sash windows. You'll feel like a regular Londoner living in our apartments for a few days. The area has 2 characters, busy London & tranquil Islington at the same time. The building is opposite a small Primary school (4-10 year olds), which is ideal if you forget an alarm clock and need to wake at 9am, when teachers ring the bell for start of class. The apartment is above Regents Canal, and you can access the tranquil scenic canal path to walk, jog or cycle in 5 minutes. It goes via London Zoo, Regents Park Camden Market, Little Venice and Kings Place - a fantastic new cultural centre You can hire a bike for just £1 for the day using the Mayor of Londons new alternative transport. There are 2 bike stations less than 5 minutes walk away, so no risk of not finding a bike when you want one.
