This spacious ranch house was built by a NASA engineer in the late 60's and designed for guests and entertainment. It has been refurbished including new windows, new appliances, a new and unique bathroom and many other features. It is located in a quiet neighborhood and the local police station is located a block at the end of our street. Starbucks, groceries, restaurants, and clothing, etc. are just blocks away. The beach, just three blocks away, offers rest rooms, walkways to the beach, water spigots to wash the sand off your feet, grills, picnic tables etc. We supply beach chairs, toys, towels, and two bikes to get to beach and back. The river is just three blocks the other way, offering sailing, kayaking to small islands, and manatee/bird watching You may not even need a car as we just use electric bikes to get around. A stroller is also available for families.
This is the ideal spot for families who want to relax in a safe, quiet, comfortable neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle. Everything is close, just an hour from Disney, 30 minutes from the Cape, and 15 minutes from Brevard Zoo. Great restaurants, sunrises and sunsets, churches, shopping, and surf shops. We consider this area to be as close to paradise as it gets if you're not a partier. That said, there is also great nightlife nearby...check out Lou's Blues or Cocoa Beach (minutes up A1A. If you want to relax.....this is your spot.

3 friends from the north and I stayed here to play gold with some local friends and found the house to be a great fit for us. There was ample space and accommodations for all four of us and we thoroughly enjoyed our week. We would certainly consider a return visit if the timing and availability work out. Thank you so much for the hospitality.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

I served in the Air Force at Patrick AFB and was pleasantly suprised how pristine the area had remained after over thirty years being away. The house is centrally located to numerous spots that I wanted to visit. It is designed to provide space for a family with bedrooms at opposite ends of the house and central den, dining room and kitchen. I enjoyed getting up in the morning, going to Starbucks and taking my coffey to the beach and watching the sunrise. The accomodations on the beach are great for surfing, fishing or just walking on the beach, picking up sea shells. The beach is close enough that I can ride my bike there for a little extra exercise. The beach resturant with fish tocos was one of my favorites. I also, golf and played a number of the courses close by. It's easy to get some discounted tee times, just go on-line and most courses have daily specials. l liked the Nasa tour at Cape Kennedy and the wild life preserve there too. My family and I really enjoyed the accomodations and the stay and plan to do it again. Thanks for sharing a part of your wold with us.Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Why the Owner Chose Indian Harbour Beach:
My mother and father in law were in the service at Patrick AFB in the 60's and enjoyed this area. I inherited this property from a friend of the engineer who built the home. We rode out the last hurricane to hit this area and stayed high and dry even though Melbourne and surrounding areas had water problems. I grew up in Naples and The Keys, this area is less commercial, quieter, more convenient, more laidback, friendlier, less buggy, and has great surf.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We really enjoy the variety of things this area has to offer - especially the beach. We can go to the causeway and watch shuttle launches from Cape Canaveral; tour the wildlife refuge at Cape Canaveral; shop downtown Melbourne or in the many malls in this area; go surf fishing etc. My morning ritual is to ride my bike to Starbucks and take my coffee to the beach and watch the sunrise. Here you will find something for most everyone. Internationals tend to ove our area because it has a more "local" feel. No big city rush or rudeness. Everything is convenient...you may find you don't need to leave the island for anything.
