We took my elderly in-laws and another couple with us for a great "Leaf-Peeper" Weekend. I was concerned about the inlaws being able to navigate inside, and the owners assured me it was open and easily accessible. The cabin had a Master bedroom/bath on the main level, which was convenient for people with limited mobility. This cabin was comfortably decorated for a family to enjoy. The beds had fresh linens and were extremely comfortable. Everything had been cleaned and the kitchen was well stocked with essentials. We enjoyed the wide screened porch w/rockers during the late evening. It kept us all "mosquito-free." This would be a great cabin for a family gathering with children. The back yard had plenty of room to play outside or sit around the firepit. We loved visiting Mercier's Apple Farm about 8 miles away. October is a great time to go for a wagon ride through their orchards and pick apples. Be sure to stop by the grocery store before arriving at this cabin, as it's located off the beaten path. The cabin is far back in the woods, beside a creek. Thanks for a great visit and we look forward to visiting again in the future.

We are a family of four with a teenage son and daughter. We found this place had something for everyone. We enjoyed playing pool, ping pong and air hockey with the kids and they had fierce sibling games. We went tubing in the trout stream, worked on kayak skills, enjoyed fires in the new fire pit, used the bbq a number of times. The kids made smores, played games, built fires, jumped in the hot tub and ran around all day until they dropped. We never heard, "I'm Board" for the entire week we stayed and their was no Xbox and yes they survived. We went to see the 1996 summer Olympics raft & kayak course in Ocoee, just be sure to go on Saturday when they release the water, it's really something to see. We tool a trip to Nantahalla, by Bryson City in NC and had a great day Zip lining with "Nantahala Canopy Tours" 13 lines plus a great staff. We found that Blue Ridge is a quick stop as well as Mercer Farms and Ellijay. FAmilies would also enjoy Horseshoe Park just North of Blueridge, bring your tubes and fishing poles & watchout for rising water around noon? We have stayed in the area before, but would certainly returning here again. This is such a great spot for our family. The cabin was well stocked and nicely decorated. It cabin was well taken care of and the rooms were clean and the beds were conformable. Everything worked just right for our family. There is dish TV and wireless internet access, if you can’t escape from technology, but this place offered so many reason not to turn on the TV and to enjoy your family. We had a Great Time!!! This cabin was pretty much perfect! Had plenty of room for our families to have individual space(3 big bedrooms-NOT a loft! along with game room, TVs in each), but still allowed us to be together too. Loved the open layout of the Dining area/kitchen/living room, and the screened-in porches that allowed the "outside in"! Enjoyed rocking on the porch, listening to the river on the rocks in front of me, and the laughter of family inside. Hot tub was wonderful, the game room well-stocked, hammock, fire pit area & outside stairs so nice to sit around (caught a firefly!)...appreciated the loan of the kayaks & tubes, and even tho the water level was low, lazing in the tubes was so relaxing!! Although the road in is gravel (but hard-packed), the driveway is concrete (& steeper), so had no real problems getting to/from the cabin with our VERY loaded mini-van. There are houses tucked in along the road & on either side, not so close as to crowd you, just enough to reassure that you aren't in the boonies!! Sue was WONDERFUL to work with, very good & fast communications, and patiently answering each question we had (and we had quite a few!) Cabin was very clean, & they really did think of just about everything you could need (even down to the wasp spray, just in case!) Looking forward to hopefully going back again; only been home 3 days & we miss it already!! Thanks for a fantastic vacation!!!

My family and I had a wonderful 4 nights in this cabin. The cabin was very clean and the beds were comfortable. We really enjoyed the patio and fire pit in the evenings and the kids enjoyed the game room. We used the tubes and spent our days in the creek that was a lot of fun! This cabin is seriously well stocked with everything you will need. I recommend if you have kids to go into town and buy the little screens that you mine with and buy them a couple bags of sand and let them get in the creek and mine, my kids LOVED that because they found a lot of pretty stones. We also dug around in the creek and ran that dirt through our screen you will find some really pretty stuff there as well. We will be back next year hopefully for a whole week.

This is one of the best most well appointed cabins we have ever stayed at. The outdoor patio and fire pit are a wonderful place to relax day and night. We had great fun kayaking on the river. The cabin is extremely well stocked you will not have to leave the house for anything. We will definitely be back but next time it will be for a longer stay as 2 nights was not long enough.

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children.

Owner response: We are so glad you enjoyed your time at Wildwater. The quiet nights listening to the rapids, while sitting around the fire pit, is one of our favorite things to do also! We look forward to you staying again. Thanks, Sue

This really is the perfect cabin you could possibly find. From the drive to all the amenities and all the things to do at the cabin, you couldn't ask for and get more. Everything at the cabin is exactly as described, well maintained and clean. There is so much to do at the cabin that three nights stay wouldn't be enough. Some of our favorite things to do were hot tub, game room, fire pit, hammock at the edge of the stream, activities to do in the stream, screened porches, and the charm of the cabin itself. Would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone looking for an amazing getaway.

We really enjoyed our visit. The cabin was beautiful. It was exactly what I expected from the photos, description and reviews on the website. This cabin has something for everyone! Coffee on the deck with a view of the creek, hot tub for the evenings, air hockey for our granddaughter to play against her Mom & Grandaddy, space for you to spread out, a nice area for a fire outside in the evenings, easy to drive into and out of. Just a great place! If the photos & description appeal to you - you will not be disappointed. The owners were great to work with. This would be a great place to stay any time of the year. There's so much to enjoy.

My family and I just got back from a stay in Bob's lovely cabin...the owners are great people to work with, they allowed us to stay almost a year after we had originally booked, as we were unable to go due to family sickness and such, and they were very patient with me as I tried to work out a date several times to work for all my party to go, cudos to the owners! The cabin was everything we had hoped and more, the pictures just do not do it justice...we loved it...we got there just in time to see the beginning of the turning of the leaves...so there was pops of color all over the place...just lovely. The hot tub was just right for the chilly nights after exploring the creekside during very warm days...Really comfy beds and a kitchen stocked with anything you need...Lovely landscaping, clean and neat furnishings and all the comforts of home....We look forward to being able to go again! This place is very secluded, but just a short 15 minute drive to Blue Ridge or a 10 minute drive to McKaysville GA, with plenty of shopping and dining nearby. Only reason, I'm not giving an excellent rate, hubby was disappointed the creek was too low to fish or kayak, been a bit dry lately, and we had problems with the internet service....But other than that, I would give an excellent rate!

Owner response: I am glad you all had a great time. It has been dry this year, so the creek is low.Great time of year to see the leaves changing color or hiking thru the beautiful mountains.

We recently stayed at this cabin and had a wonderful time! The house was simply beautiful and very well stocked. Everything we needed was furnished. The location was great for our white water rafting adventure and we thoroughly enjoyed the creek & tubes. We had four young men between 16 & 20 with us and they never had a dull moment. We would definitely recommend this property to our friends and hope to stay again.

Thanks again!

Our family just spent a week at this beautiful cabin and we felt right at home. Everything we needed (and then some) was provided. We spent everyday playing in the creek; tubing, kayaking, fishing, or just relaxing! We made smores around the fire ring on the wonderful new patio and soaked in the hot tub at night. Another favorite spot was the back deck with all the rocking chairs. What a great spot to relax and listen to the rushing water! When we did pull ourselves away from the cabin, part of our gang went whitewater rafting and had a blast! We also hiked to one of the local waterfalls - Falling Branch Creek (perfect hike with kids). Another night we went to the drive-in theater (brought back fun memories) and we all enjoyed that fun family time. There was so much more we wanted to do in the area, just did not want to leave the little piece of paradise right at the cabin! Could not have asked for better owners to rent from. Thanks, Bob and Sue, for a wonderful week of memories for our family!!! We will be back!

Owner response: We are glad you all had a great time. There is so much to do in the Blueridge area or it is great just to relax at our cabin.

Our cabin also has a brand new hot tub and a new large patio with an outside fire pit. Bring the Smores! We are only 10 to 15 minutes from the Ocoee for some of the best white water rafting in the South.

On a recent long weekend in October, we made the short trip from ATL to Epworth, GA. It’s nice to know there’s an escape so close that offers the feeling of being a full world away. The house is comfy, loaded with amenities and conveniences, and rests against a lazy creek in front of reclined Adirondack chairs and an ample hammock, perfect for watching, listening, and relaxing. Fireplaces, inside and out, were chocked full of wood, and we enjoyed the smells of an early fall fire as we sat on one of the three decks that overlooked the sprawling yard and the creek. The house is tucked in the woods, quiet, with a remote feel that is actually closer to civilization than you might think. To get to “civilization” we traveled 10 minutes, picked apples, enjoyed cider, and basked in terrific sunny weather. We look forward to our next visit as we’ve certainly found a little slice of heaven 2 hours from home!
