Muskoka Cottage is ideally located, close to Accra beach, a Super Centre, banks, easy access to shopping and Bridgetown. Down the road from St Lawrence Gap nightlife and Restaurants. I have travelled several times to Barbados and found this place to be a comfortable vacation home with everything you need. My daughter and I felt safe at the cottage, but you generally feel safe in Barbados. The yard is beautiful, sitting on the patio in the a.m. with a cup of coffee and a good book, happy hour on the patio with a banks beer, good memories. All linens are quality and clean. The kitchen is well stocked with quality pots, dishes, cutlery etc. The owners did not cut costs when furnishing and stocking this rental. All of theses factors made our 2 week stay at Muskoka exceptional. Highly recommended.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Just stayed here for a far too short week at this perfect place in Barbados. A nice, clean and well maintained cottage which offered a lot of privacy, a large patio, a gas BBQ, and lots more. Just a three minute walk to the beach, the bus stop, to the very nice Mojo Bar and Restaurant, to the supermarket, this little house is the perfect place to start Barbados explorations. The owners welcomed us and made us feel very welcome, more friends than customers. Next time in Barbados, we know where we would be going! Thanks a lot to Severine and Steven for a perfect vacation rental.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Hello Steve!!! It has been over a year and we are so sorry to write a review so late. You maybe don't remember us we were a young couple who had just gotten married, stayed in April. We had an absolutely lovely time! You were by far the greatest host we could ask for, plus the cottage was perfection. We so enjoyed our stay on your beautiful island. I dream of going back someday. Thank you so much for the wonderful time, taking us around, teaching us about the island, and for sharing your lovely cottage with us. It was a dream honeymoon. -Illy & JoffRecommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Having lived on this beautiful island, we could not believe our great good fortune in finding this delightful cottage! Severine and Steve have made it perfect in their choice of furnishings, colours, etc. We have found that space equals comfort when living in the tropics and this cottage and its surrounding gardens provided us with all the comfort we could need! Add to this its perfect location and the occasional visit from a family of Green Monkeys and you can only imagine our reluctance to leave at the end of the month! Needless to say, we are returning! Thank you, Severine and Steve!Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

We have recently came back from Barbados, and stayed for 7 nights at Steven's and Severine's Muskoka Cottage. It was an unfogettable vacation for us, we did not regret once not staying at the hotel. The location is absolutley perfect, everything you need (supermarket, restaurants/bars, blue water and white sand) is just a short walk away. We are thinking of coming back in 2-3 years, and stay longer than we did this time. Thank you Steven and Severine for your hospitality.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Our stay at Muskoka Cottage was amazing. Short walk to the beaches, dining, public transport, and night life. You have your own private garden and a spacious place with full kitchen amenities. The supermarket is a short walk as well so you don't have to eat out every night. But the best part of our stay was the warm welcome from our hosts Steve and Sev. They made us feel at home and we truly feel like we have a connection to the island now- so much so that we plan to make returning in December over the holidays a new family tradition. Don't stay in a hotel when you visit Barbados- stay at Muskoka Cottage!Recommended for: Families with young children, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My girlfreind and I just had an amazing time staying at Muskoka Cottage. The location is ideal. The beach is only a block away, but you are far enough away from the main road to avoid the noise. A few blocks away is Accra (Rockley) beach. We spent a number of days enjoying this great beach for swimming. The best dinner we had during our stay was at a neighborhood restaurant (Champers). Don't miss this place! It's only a few blocks away and directly on the water (overlooking Accra). There is also no shortage of great restaurants and nightlife in St Lawrence Gap. This is also within walking distance, but we found it easier to take the ZR bus (75 cents US) which would pick us up right down the block. Everything you need will be at your fingertips while staying at Muskoka, but be sure to venture out and explore all that the island has to offer. It is an amazing country! (Friday night at Oistin's is a must). Steven and Severine are wonderful hosts and their children are adorable. The cottage is very private, but they are just a phone call away should you have any questions or need recommendations. I agree with previous posts that the pictures do not do the cottage justice. The cottage is quite spacious and there is a great TV should you want to catch some Monday Night Football like me :-) I can assure you that you will not be dissapointed with your stay at Muskoka... Enjoy! And thanks again Steven and Severine... hope to see you again next year!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I stayed in Muskoka Cottage for 10 nights in November 2010 with my friend. We had a brilliant time and loved both the Cottage and it's owners. The location was perfect - quiet but very close to all required amenities - supermarket, bank, beach, bar, shops, bus and easy walking distance to many restaurants, bars and other beaches etc. Severine & Steve were a delight. The cottage was perfect, particularly the veranda and the garden - added bonus! Thank you!Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We recently rented this cottage for a 7-day getaway. The cottage was absolutely perfect and exceeded our expectations--well kept, spotless, and very comfortable. The photos don't do it justice. There's tonnes of space, lovely furniture, everything you need, from dishes to linens. The central location meant we could walk to beaches, restaurants and attractions, and the nearby grocery store and coffee shop were an added convenience. We enjoyed spending time in the private yard (reading, sunning, or watching the monkeys), and lounging on the spacious patio. The air-conditioned bedroom was a haven at night, and the washing machine proved very handy. The hosts, Steven and Severine, were beyond friendly and made us feel very comfortable during our stay. We can't wait to come back!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Muskoka Cottage, it is a beautifully furnished, quiet cottage, with a short walking distance to the beaches, restaurants/bars/nightclubs and public transportation. Sev and Steve are the most gracious hosts and welcome you and make you feel like you are in your own home while there. We really enjoyed the green monkeys that would come by every morning while having coffee on the covered porch. The private garden is gorgeous and lots of patio furniture set in various locations around the cottage for maximum comfort if you want shade or treasured sunshine. This will be our new home away from home in the future. Thank you Sev, Steve, Savanah and Stephan.....:)Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My girl friend and I rented this Cottage from Steven and his wife and we had a great time. Very clean, and in a great location. The beach is just down the road and there is a nice little bar just down the block. Steven and his wife know the Island so if there is anything you need or are looking for they can help. Can't wait to go back. Running out of rum =) Steven thanks for everythingRecommended for: Families with young children, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
