Our plans changed and we were not able to stay at this wonderful home this time but I just wanted to say what a great experience it was working with the owner! He responded quickly and was very accommodating with my every request and/or question. He was a delight to work with and I hope to be able to stay here later in the Summer and give a full report.

A Perfect Stay
A Perfect Stay
Our stay at your home was absolutely wonderful. The accommodations were perfect for our family. We were able to enjoy our time together and all remain perfectly comfortable while there. The family kept saying that the place was perfect and would like to return in the future. Two mornings we were able to watch the dolphins in the bay while having our coffee on the deck. The guys fished everyday and caught enough fish for one meal. Because the weather was so nice we were able to sit out on the deck and dock and enjoy just catching up. Thanks you so much for a great stay and we will try to come again some day. Cindy

The property was exactly as advertised. Clean property with spacious bedrooms, and a large den and dining room in an open floor plan. Nice decks under huge oak trees. A very long pier with a gazebo at the end. Only 12 minutes from the huge Foley outlet shopping center. Also near the quaint city of Fairhope with antique shops, and a small town feel. Ate out every night - Jessy's is a must! Great food.

Relaxing on the dock of the bay
Relaxing on the dock of the bay
My parents and I enjoyed our stay at this vaction property. We enjoyed many hours sitting on the bench-swing of the covered dock and watching the wild-life. Even in the mid-July heat, the shade of the dock and cool breeze off the bay keeps you cofortable.

Year Purchased: 2007
About the owner: We purchased this property in 2007 to be closer to our family in the Fairhope and Gulf Shores Alabama area. This is a custom built home built on a beautiful lot with centuries old oak trees and great waterfront viewing of the bay. It is a very comfortable home that we enjoy fishing, boating and water sports. Weeks Bay adjoins Mobile Bay and is fed by two fresh water rivers, the Magnolia and the Fish rivers which provide for the best fishing for both freshwater to saltwater varieties of fish. The home's pier is a known local hotspot that inshore professional fishing guides bring their customer to fish by boat. The pier is located over the top of the main tidal flow path of the bay. There is also oyster beds near that are natural fish attractors. Weeks Bay is a protected natural estuary that is off limits to shrimping. Biologists project that 90% of all shrimp caught in state waters come from Weeks Bay. The ban of harvesting shrimp greatly increases the quantity of bait. Shrimping impacts both the shrimp population and all the other bait fish caught by their nets.
