In cold months, or at any time, the huge stone fireplace invites a gathering whether to watch the giant 54” flat screen television or simply to take in the majestic view beyond the west window. There’s nothing like watching a sunset ignite the western sky over Grandfather Mountain, unless, of course, it’s watching a sunrise kindle the new day as you enjoy breakfast before the west kitchen window. Sunset, sunrise, daytime or nighttime, a glass of wine, a cocktail or just a coke. You may enjoy either of all of this while relaxing in your 8’ hot hottub.
The surrounding lands are as delightfully appointed as the home itself. Hike along the beautiful stony creek and you will attune to the restful, invigorating music of not one, but 4 waterfalls along the way. A ½-acre lake, stocked with fish, provides the solitary wanderer, or a couple, with the perfect oasis to rest, read and reflect; while larger parties might prefer to linger for a picnic of play in the area surrounded by the creek.
