This private, two room suite, located on the second floor, has a modern design that is open and light filled even on a cloudy day with beautiful mountain views. Formerly a very successful Bed and Breakfast, Girdwood Good Night is now available for longer stays and makes a great base for your extended Alaskan adventure.
There is a separate bedroom with a firm queen size bed and black out shades for sleeping during those long summer days. New in 2008, we have added a queen size Murphy bed in the living area. Leather seating, desk, flat screen TV with DVD and cable, dining area and well equipped kitchen fill out the rest of your space and creates a complete home away from home.
Your bath entices with an oversized soaking tub with shower to lavish in after an inspiring day skiing, cruising Prince William Sound or enjoying one of the many activities that await you. Washer and dryer, ample closet space, and ski storage locker provide plenty of area to stash and tend your personal gear.

Dave and I designed and built Girdwood Good Night to reflect our own requirements for a comfortable place to stay while on vacation. Our priorities were and are; privacy, good design, natural light, comfortable furniture, and welcoming feel.

The unit's location is perfect. Stowe Drive is a quiet street with little through traffic and is a ten minute walk from the Alyeska Resort Daylodge.
The Unique Benefits of this Chalet
Girdwood enjoys an average annual snowfall of about 700", making it a perfect place for skiers and snowboarders. The unit is just a few blocks from The Alyeska Daylodge and the ski lifts. You'll be hard pressed to find a better place to stay during your ski/snowboard vacation.

We rented this for one month, it is one of the most enjoyable places we have stayed. the accommodations are excellent. Enjoyed the deep bath tub. The view from the living room of the glacier covered mountain top nestled between the tree tops is exquisite. Quiet and lots of windows to let in the outside light. Nice midway point to Anchorage and the Kenai Peninsula. Definitely recommend this chalet to anyone vacationing in Alaska.

In my travels, I have yet to find a more comfortable and clean place to stay. The owner's attention to every detail makes Girdwood Goodnight a personal favorite. The private entrance and excellent use of space makes it so easy to feel at home. Just 40 minutes from the airport, it's convenient to Anchorage without being too close. The town of Girdwood has so much to offer...great restaurants, natural beauty, and a relaxed vibe that always makes me want to stay longer. I always encourage family and friends to stay at Girdwood Goodnight and I don't even ski! Highly Recommended!
