Our beautiful Canmore home is situated in the Canadian Rockies, 20 minutes from the town of Banff and 90 minutes from Calgary. Canmore was the home of Nordic Events at the 1988 Winter Olympics and holds many of these world class events throughout the winter months. Filled with amazing restaurants, great hiking trails, world class downhill skiing and entertainment events close by, Canmore is the perfect location for a family holiday anytime of the year. The town of Canmore hosts, a Recreation Center with pool and fitness facilities. As well during the winter months, outdoor skating is available. Main street is busy with many small shops and places to eat lunch and dinner. In addition, Banff, with its famous Banff Springs hotel is one of the many spas in the Bow Valley allowing you to ease the results of yesterdays skiing or hiking.
Our home is outfitted with all the amenities that you would like to have on a vacation away from home. The view of the mountains out our main bedroom windows are absolutely beautiful. We are close to Quarry lake, a favourite of the locals in summer, as well as many trails just outside our door. Our quiet street allows you to have a restful vacation with little or no disturbance.
Canmore, is simply a beautiful place with the mountains as your backyard. Winter, is alive and well in our Canadian Rockies and is the place to experience all that this great season has to offer. Summers are simply beautiful with hiking and biking trails for all levels.

We had a wonderful stay with our 3 young adult children, they skied and i read! Photos were accurate and every thing you needed was there. Not a close walk into town but a short drive. The Grizzly Paw was a nice spot for drinks and food. I would highly recommend this property!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

The pictures do not do this site justice. It is more spacious than the pictures show. The master upstairs bedroom is spacious. We moved a downstairs single bed into the upstairs bedroom. Our group of six skiers was very comfortable. The 21/2 bathrooms was a plus. The kitchen was well equipped as we ate in every night. The city of Canmore had all amenities we needed from shopping for gifts for spouses left behind to groceries and sport shops. The drive to the local ski hills was about 30-40 minutes. The unit was clean and met all of our expectations.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, families with young children.

The layout of this home is ideal for hosting a family gathering. An open concept kitchen is ideal for preparing meals, with multiple levels for peace and quite if needed. We had five adults and it could comfortably accommodate a few more. The gas fireplace is so nice after a day of skiing! Close to walking trails and cross country skiing this was an ideal gathering spot for our family over the holidays. We hope to be back!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.
