Adorable privately owned, custom-built log cabin has 1,400+ square feet and is situated on 3 wooded, secluded acres, yet is just 15 minutes from quaint historic downtowns in North Carolina, Tennessee and Georgia, including Blue Ridge. Entering on a specially built ramp (wheelchair and powerchair accessible), the door opens into a large great room with cathedral ceiling. The fully equipped kitchen--microwave, stove/oven, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher and panini grill--has a farmhouse table that seats 6. The living room, complete with ceiling fan, is furnished with a large sofa and oversized chair and 48' flat screen HDTV with satellite service, DVR, DVD and wall-mounted stereo speaker system. It opens onto a covered porch that runs the length of the cabin and is cooled by 3 ceiling fans helping the mountain breeze; a perfect place to enjoy the quiet woods while resting in Amish-crafted rockers. Above the living room is a loft furnished with matching twin beds, nightstand and dresser. The master bedroom, furnished with antiques, original art and a queen-sized iron bed, has access to the screened section of the porch through lovely French doors, fitted with adjustable shades for privacy. The bathroom is equipped with a handicap shower with removable shower head, seat and railings. All doorways on the main floor are 36' wide. One side of the furnished basement has a full-size, regulation pool table, air hockey table and two counter-height chairs. The other side has a queen-sized Murphy bed, 37-inch HDTV with built-in DVD player and satellite and DVR service as well as a full bath.

This cabin was clean and well-appointed. We enjoyed that it was so tastefully decorated-no over the top cabin kitsch. The landlord was so nice. When it snowed the paved road to the cabin, he shoveled it for us, without our even asking. When it seemed that we might get snowed or frozen in (our little car is not made for snow and ice!), he told us to stay as long as we needed to. That was a good thing, too, as it took a couple of hours after check-out time for the temperature to come up enough to melt everything. The setting is beautiful. We really enjoyed walking down to the creek in the snow-really magical. Even our little cat had a great time! Thank you, for making our stay even more special.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This was a great place for a weekend get away. Wish we had more time to spend there. Larry was a great host and the cabin was great, very clean and everything you need at your finger tips. We would absolutely recommend this cabin and hope to use it again. Very close to town if you need supplies but secluded and quiet. Thanks LarryRecommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

Our family spent Thanksgiving in the cabin. We cooked our entire meal amongst the beautiful wood work and fresh air. It was so relaxing. You get the illusion of being completely secluded; yet the town of Blue Ridge and Ellijay are not far for everyday needs. The fenced backyard was great for the dogs, and they loved the 1500 foot walking path down the mountain to the creek below. It is very peaceful, and I'm happy to say I did not think about work once. :)Recommended for: Age 55+, people with disabilities, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

We first stayed in August 2011 and returned last month. The cabin was spotless and had a few improvements which is hard to do when you have everything needed. My in laws came with us and are already planning on bringing their grandchildren up in the future. We played pool every night it is very relaxing. The weather was perfect and anytime spent with Larry is like spending time with family. There is a lot to do in area nice restaurants, horseback riding, fishing, hiking, golf, the Mercier Orchards are a must visit. He has all the information on area in a binder with maps, menus and pamphlets on area that you will need. If you want a great vacation this is the place.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We very much enjoyed the stay at the cabin. The owner came by to introduce himself and told us if we needed anything to call him. My powerchair became unusable at the cabin (no fault of the cabin) and it then had to be pushed down the ramp and pushed on to the attachment for the wheelchair. My husband called him and he came to help. He even offered to help load up the car the morning we were leaving and said he would be down. We ended up not needing him to help with that but knowing the offer was there was a relief for us. I would definitely recommend this cabin to others. Actually, my son and daughter-in-law are thinking about staying there at some point.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

We had a wonderful stay at Secluded Mountain Cabin! The cabin was just PERFECT.My mom is in a wheelchair and she had a BLAST..everything was perfect for her.The accomodations had ample bedding for all. Details are beautiful....from a little lamp in the corner to the soft towels in the bathrooms. We loved the layout of the home.Owners are super nice and helpful. Kids had a great time and enjoyed the downstairs play area, especially the pool table, and we enjoyed the large living/kitchen area for relaxing. Our miniature poodle had a great time running free without worries, exploring nature. The back porch is lovely. We enjoyed fishing/picnic at Horseshoe Bend Park. You must visit one of the legacies of the 1996 Summer Olympics, the Ocoee Whitewater Center. We would definitely stay here again! Thanks Mr Larry for sharing your beautiful cabin with us. Blessings, The Feliciano FamilyRecommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

My husband and I enjoyed our weekend getaway to the Little Cabin in the Woods. The description was exactly as we found it and had no problems finding it with the excellent directions provided. The cabin was so clean it appeared brand new. I felt like we were the first to stay in this quaint cabin. We did not need the handicapped amenties but pleased to know they existed. We ate dinner in nearby Blue Ridge at a great place called Harvest on Main. I had family renting a nearby cabin and they did the train ride in Blue Ridge and enjoyed that as well. We would definitely select this cabin again and recommend it to others.. We also loved that we could take our dog, who enjoyed the woods.Recommended for: Age 55+, people with disabilities, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We booked this cabin because of the handicap accessability and found a diamond in the woods. This "home away from home" was immaculately kept and had all the comforts of our own home. The owners pride could be felt from the wonderfully soft linens and towels to their accessibility if we needed anything at all during the stay ! We booked from Oct. 1 - Oct. 29 and enjoyed seeing the change of leaves and then the views provided by the dropping of the leaves. It was so enjoyable to sit on the back porch and watch the sun set behind the mountains. We enjoyed our stay and all the surrounding areas that we visited. If you go during October you are sure to have plentiful festivals and craft sales going on and we were even lucky to get in on a complete quilt show in Blairsville. It was wonderful....and speaking of quilting, the stay allowed me some time to complete my own quilt and several fall and Christmas quilted table runners. It sure was nice sitting at the kitchen table, sewing and watching the leaves fall. Thank you so much for the wonderful accomodations !!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, sightseeing.
