This cabin was clean and well-appointed. We enjoyed that it was so tastefully decorated-no over the top cabin kitsch. The landlord was so nice. When it snowed the paved road to the cabin, he shoveled it for us, without our even asking. When it seemed that we might get snowed or frozen in (our little car is not made for snow and ice!), he told us to stay as long as we needed to. That was a good thing, too, as it took a couple of hours after check-out time for the temperature to come up enough to melt everything. The setting is beautiful. We really enjoyed walking down to the creek in the snow-really magical. Even our little cat had a great time! Thank you, for making our stay even more special.

This was a great place for a weekend get away. Wish we had more time to spend there. Larry was a great host and the cabin was great, very clean and everything you need at your finger tips. We would absolutely recommend this cabin and hope to use it again. Very close to town if you need supplies but secluded and quiet. Thanks Larry

Our family spent Thanksgiving in the cabin. We cooked our entire meal amongst the beautiful wood work and fresh air. It was so relaxing. You get the illusion of being completely secluded; yet the town of Blue Ridge and Ellijay are not far for everyday needs. The fenced backyard was great for the dogs, and they loved the 1500 foot walking path down the mountain to the creek below. It is very peaceful, and I'm happy to say I did not think about work once. :)

We first stayed in August 2011 and returned last month. The cabin was spotless and had a few improvements which is hard to do when you have everything needed. My in laws came with us and are already planning on bringing their grandchildren up in the future. We played pool every night it is very relaxing. The weather was perfect and anytime spent with Larry is like spending time with family. There is a lot to do in area nice restaurants, horseback riding, fishing, hiking, golf, the Mercier Orchards are a must visit. He has all the information on area in a binder with maps, menus and pamphlets on area that you will need. If you want a great vacation this is the place.

We were in town for our son's wedding and what a wonderful place we found in this secluded cabin. The cabin was spotless and very comfortable. We especially enjoyed meeting and talking with the cabin's owner, Larry Dumas. A great place to stay no matter the occasion. We will definitely return to spend time here again!

We very much enjoyed the stay at the cabin. The owner came by to introduce himself and told us if we needed anything to call him. My powerchair became unusable at the cabin (no fault of the cabin) and it then had to be pushed down the ramp and pushed on to the attachment for the wheelchair. My husband called him and he came to help. He even offered to help load up the car the morning we were leaving and said he would be down. We ended up not needing him to help with that but knowing the offer was there was a relief for us. I would definitely recommend this cabin to others. Actually, my son and daughter-in-law are thinking about staying there at some point.

We had a wonderful stay at Secluded Mountain Cabin! The cabin was just PERFECT.My mom is in a wheelchair and she had a BLAST..everything was perfect for her.The accomodations had ample bedding for all. Details are beautiful....from a little lamp in the corner to the soft towels in the bathrooms. We loved the layout of the home.Owners are super nice and helpful. Kids had a great time and enjoyed the downstairs play area, especially the pool table, and we enjoyed the large living/kitchen area for relaxing. Our miniature poodle had a great time running free without worries, exploring nature. The back porch is lovely. We enjoyed fishing/picnic at Horseshoe Bend Park. You must visit one of the legacies of the 1996 Summer Olympics, the Ocoee Whitewater Center. We would definitely stay here again! Thanks Mr Larry for sharing your beautiful cabin with us. Blessings, The Feliciano Family

My husband and I enjoyed our weekend getaway to the Little Cabin in the Woods. The description was exactly as we found it and had no problems finding it with the excellent directions provided. The cabin was so clean it appeared brand new. I felt like we were the first to stay in this quaint cabin. We did not need the handicapped amenties but pleased to know they existed. We ate dinner in nearby Blue Ridge at a great place called Harvest on Main. I had family renting a nearby cabin and they did the train ride in Blue Ridge and enjoyed that as well. We would definitely select this cabin again and recommend it to others.. We also loved that we could take our dog, who enjoyed the woods.

My husband, grown son and I loved our recent stay in your cabin. It was everything the description listed, only better! The photos don't do it justice. We travel with our little dog and were happy to find this great place that takes pets, and especially liked the fenced back yard. The cabin seemed larger than the pictures showed. We enjoyed playing pool and air hockey in the basement. My son liked the privacy of the bedroom and bath down there. The maps, brochures and notebook of local information was very helpful. Larry was very helpful in answering our questions and we would definitely recommend his cabin to others. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer! We hope to make a return trip to the "Little Cabin in the Woods." Thanks for sharing your home, Linda, Dave, James and "Brady"

We booked this cabin because of the handicap accessability and found a diamond in the woods. This "home away from home" was immaculately kept and had all the comforts of our own home. The owners pride could be felt from the wonderfully soft linens and towels to their accessibility if we needed anything at all during the stay ! We booked from Oct. 1 - Oct. 29 and enjoyed seeing the change of leaves and then the views provided by the dropping of the leaves. It was so enjoyable to sit on the back porch and watch the sun set behind the mountains. We enjoyed our stay and all the surrounding areas that we visited. If you go during October you are sure to have plentiful festivals and craft sales going on and we were even lucky to get in on a complete quilt show in Blairsville. It was wonderful....and speaking of quilting, the stay allowed me some time to complete my own quilt and several fall and Christmas quilted table runners. It sure was nice sitting at the kitchen table, sewing and watching the leaves fall. Thank you so much for the wonderful accomodations !!!

I looked FOREVER to find a place what was TRUELY handicap accessible and took pets. Finally I found the Cabin in the Woods!! It was perfect. I really is wheelchair accessible....no steps! The bathroom has handrails and the shower has a seat and handrails and no step over! The back yard had a surprise!! It was fenced! So the pups had a blast! I took my parents there for their 65th wedding anniv. and my Mom is already asking when can we go back!! She loved the decor and Daddy appreciated the HUGE TV and billion channels! It's close enough to town go I could go pick up what we needed and was QUIET! All we could hear was the forest. I appreciated the wifi so I could get things done. Everything we needed was there in the house. Plenty of kitchen utensils, towels, everything. And there's even a washer and dryer. The house was spotless when we arrived and the rental process went off without a hitch. All in all...I could not have asked for anything more. And I really mean it!! Thanks to the owners for having such a great place and we hope to see you again soon!

We stayed there for a week for our 30th wedding anniversary and couldn't ask for better accomodations. The quality of everything in the cabin is A-One. The peaceful surroundings and scenery is amazing. We played pool every evening and never watched TV all week just using it for background music. The proximity to great scenic drives, restaurants, shopping, hiking, fishing and water sports is perfect. If someone is wheelchair bound this cabin is also a perfect place. The owners are readily available and treat you like family but leave you alone unless called. We have already booked a return stay and can't wait to come back.

We had a great family vacation, staying at the cabin for a week. Lots to do in the cabin and lots to do in the area around the cabin. We spent time in Blue Ridge and the surrounding national forests. It's near to the Ocoee whitewater rafting site from the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, which is worth visiting. There's tubing, kayaking, hiking, horseback riding, a zip line tree canopy tour, and good food in the area. Easy access to groceries and the cabin had everything we needed to cook for ourselves. The owners of the cabin are great and were very helpful when we wanted them and left us alone the rest of the time. I'd definitely recommend it to friends and would go back.

We totally enjoyed our stay at this cabin. Everything was comfy and cozy, very relaxing. The walk down to the creek wasn't difficult and the setting there was incredibly peaceful and serene. We had to be out and about during most of our days there on this trip, but look forward to returning when we can spend more time taking advantage of this beautiful place. If you love nature, you will love this cabin. The owners were really helpful if you needed anything, and if not, you will enjoy the privacy.

I was looking for an alternative to fast food and traffic for my family's weekend getaway (husband & wife with three kids age 19, 15 and 8). The Little Cabin in the Woods fit the bill perfectly. The weekend was full of pool and air hockey tournaments, hiking, movies and home cooked meals. The location feels secluded but not remote. The cabin was spacious without being overly large. All in all, the perfect weekend. We can't wait to go back.

We loved our weekend trip to this cabin. The cabin was above our expectations even though the pictures were exactly as we found it-very clean and decorated beautifully! The owner was always very helpful when we had questions and I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone. We also enjoyed our stroll through the town of Blue Ridge-which was a very short drive from the cabin. We hope to make a return trip someday-maybe with the kids-or not!

What a wonderful relaxing weekend! This little hidden gem was immaculate and equipped with anything you will need. We spent several hours shopping in the charming little town of Blue Ridge but we spent most of our time relaxing in the cabin and playing pool. We loved the big screen tv in the living room with surround sound and there is a dvd library with plenty of good movies to choose from. I highly recommend this cabin to anyone that is looking for a comfortable, clean, relaxing vacation. We can't wait to go back!!

My Wife and I spent our first wedding anniversary here. It is a wonderful cabin tucked away in a quite place in the woods. This place is more than what the pictures and the write up show. It is a very spacious, comfortable and cozy cabin. The stream flowing through the bottom of the woods is nice to see. This pace is the correct balance of isolation and access to amenities. The general store (Ingles) is just 15 mins away. But once you are in the cabin all you see is the woods. Mr Dumas was very helpful in getting us information to get around (over and above what was already provided in the huge booklet in the cabin). He helped us settle in and feel at home. He told us about the sightseeing places that only a local would know. Thank you for all your help. We would recommend this place.

We enjoyed our stay in your beautiful cabin. We could not have asked for a more relaxing accommodation, clean and very well furnished. The creek on the property was a big highlite for my 7 year old grandson. He had to get in and splash around even though the water might have been a bit chilly (of course he would not admit it). Down hill to the creek fun, up hill a hike. Exercise, good for the heart. The leaf color was exceptionally beautiful. Surrounded by nature, with porch rockers and a good book. Who would want to leave? However, the area is full of exciting things to do and the cabin has a notebook with all the documentation to choose from and get you to your favorite outings.
