Spacious Cottage with Private Beach and Dock on Beautiful Paw Paw Lake

This cottage sits on a hill with magnificent views of Paw Paw Lake. Paw Paw Lake is a large (almost 1,000 acres) all sports lake in southwestern Michigan boasting great bass, northern, and panfish fishing.

The house is located on the 'Calm Bay' of the lake where you can get up in the early morning listen to the birds chirp, watch the bass jump (or catch one). In the afternoon ski or tube with your boat, take a paddle boat or canoe ride (provided), swim off the dock or our private raft, or just watch the activities from ashore. In the evening watch the sun set from the best view on the lake.
After the sun goes down start a fire in the pit, roast marshmallows and make s'mores

For those who like to take a break from the action, you can watch cable TV or a movie from our video library or just read one of our books off the shelf.

This cottage is perfect for one or two families. There are 5 bedrooms and 1 3/4 bathrooms, to accommodate 10.


There is plenty of space in the main living area with 3 eating areas inside and another screened in 'Mini House' with a picnic table at the shores edge for that quick bite or snack while enjoying the activities.

Amenities: Inside the house you will find 5 bedrooms and 1 3/4 baths. The kitchen has a full size refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and all the silverware, pots, pans, and dishes you will need. The spacious living/dining room has a TV, VCR video/book library and plenty of sitting room. The back porch has an additional table and chairs for eating, playing cards etc. It also has plenty of sitting room and windows to watch the activities on the lawn or out on the lake. We also have a full size washer and dryer to keep those beach towels clean and dry.

Outside you will find a gas grill, a picnic table, Screened in 'mini house' with an additional picnic table, private doc, swimming raft, a 2 person paddle boat, a 2 person canoe, and a small fire pit.

We do not provide linens or towels, although we provide pads on all the beds.
Activities: Swimming, fishing, canoeing, paddle boating, hiking (a nature preserve is just across the private road), biking, golfing. If you bring a boat - water skiing/tubing. Feed the Deer at Deer Forest which is only 5 minutes away, or drive 15 minutes to one of the best beaches in the United States 'Silver Beach' on Lake Michigan in St. Joseph. There you can also visit 'Curious Kids Museum' or have an ice cream cone from famous Kilwins. There are also many great restaurants, fruit farms and wineries in the area.
Area: We are located 5 minutes off of I-94 exit 41 'Watervliet.' We are less than 15 minutes from Lake Michigan and its 'Big Lake' beaches.

This is the heart of fruit and wine country and in season you can pick strawberries, blueberries, cherries, peaches, apples and more.
