My family stayed in this delightful cottage over the Labor Day weekend and the cottage exceeded our expectations. The three bedrooms are spacious along with three bathrooms with the master bath having a double sink which was nice. The family/dining area is big and the view looking over the golf course is wonderful. The kitchen is big and fully equipped and having a washer and dryer was a big plus. The cottage was very clean and well maintained. The location couldn't be more perfect being near the club house, pro shop, golf course and tennis courts. The owner is execeptionally nice and easy to work with in renting the cottage. The owner even has an information booklet with not only the history of Callawassie, but with suggestions of things to do and places to see in the area. It was very informative. Whenever we go back to Callawassie we definately will be renting this cottage again. I highly recommend it to anyone planning a vacation in the Low Country of South Carolina.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The home is exactly as it appears in the photos, and exactly as described. It was surprisingly spacious, beautifully appointed and well-equipped. It is ideally situated in a quiet spot on the golf course, and yet close to the Club House and Tennis courts. We had a wonderful stay here. At Callawassie we enjoy tennis and golf, but more importantly, bike riding, running and rollerblading on quiet roads past large Oak Trees with Spanish Moss, crabbing and swimming in the "river" and enjoying the River Club pool and dock at sunset.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car.

What a great place. Want to get away and just relax, play golf, go crabbing and/or see a beautiful sunset? Look no futher, this is the place. My wife and I spent three weeks here and would have stayed another month if it would have been available.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This was our second visit to beautiful Callawassie Island. The cottageWalsh great; very comfortable and attractive. Master bath was especially nice and everything was exactly as advertised. The owner was very accommodating and we would not hesitate to go back. Callawassie golf is great and we enjoyed all the amenities of the island and touring the surrounding areas including Savannah, Beauford, Hunting Island and Hilton Head.Recommended for: Age 55+

This was our first time going to Callawassie Island and I have to say it was a great experience! The cottage was fantastic in every way.... clean, comfortable, inviting and in a perfect location. The golf course was great to play and the clubhouse was so easy to walk to from the cottage for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Everyone was so friendly that you feel like you are a member and have been coming there for years. I would highly recommend and we look forward to returning in the future!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We are vacation rental owners ourselves, and one of the reasons we got into the "business" is that we wanted condos and houses that would provide great vacation experiences. We are super-fussy about our own places as well as what we rent when traveling. Never before did we step into a vacation rental and feel so totally comfortable and so completely at home. This "cottage" is impeccably kept and beautifully maintained. I call it a cottage as that is how it is listed, but the rooms are spacious and laid out in such a fashion it really feels more like a house. The furniture and decorations create a most welcoming and inviting presence, and we wanted for nothing. Though we ate out most of the time, there were sufficient dishes, glasses and pots and pans to allow for cooking every meal in if we had chosen to do so. The living room is great place to relax after a day out. The sofa is upholstered in an appealing fabric (color and texture) and roomy enough for 2 to stretch and share. The master bedroom is open and airy with a mattress that is adjustable in firmness for both the his and her side. In fact, from a sharing perspective, the master suite is just about perfect as the angle of the large master bath (complete with a large sky light), keeps it out of hearing distance from the bedroom. The dual sink also works well when both people are on the same schedule. There were just the two of us for this stay, but we could have easily shared the cottage with another couple as the bedrooms are split plan and also spacious. We are definitely going to return to Callawassie Island. We loved the sweeping vistas, the lagoons and birds and the water ways running through the Island. It is a pristine and peaceful place and we loved every minute there. When we do return, we hope this cottage will be available as there is no other place we would rather stay.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Callawassie. Callawassie Island is very beautiful, relaxing and friendly place. The vacation home is truly like staying in someone’s home. The home is beautifully furnished and is stocked with everything you need. The 27 hole golf course is beautiful and in great condition. Highly recommend and looking forward to our next visitRecommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

My business partner and I spent several days here on our annual strategic retreat using golf (9 or 18 holes) as a time to let our thinking settle out. The house was immaculate, comfortable and compared to other places we've used, the kitchen well stocked for the limited amount of cooking we took on ... The one issue to be aware of is that the Club House has limited hours so one evening after a lengthy discussion it was closed when we arrived for dinner. We will know better next year when we plan to return.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

I will amend the email I send out before tenants arrive at the cottage to make sure they check on dinner hours at the clubhouse. Hopefully you saw the binder on the kitchen counter with all the good restaurants in the area.

We rented this cottage for a family get-together and we had a wonderful time. The cottage allowed us to have an easy, relaxed time together. The location is wonderful - close to the clubhouse, pro-shop, and tennis courts. Beufort and Hilton Head are a close drive away. The Callawassie Island vegetation & wildlife are fabulous. The kitchen is well-appointed - I made dinner for the entire clan twice. This is something I never do because most kitchens in rentals have very little in the way of kitchen utensils, making cooking a meal difficult. Cooking here was easy, and our family enjoyed being able to sit down for a meal together. The screened porch was an unexpected bonus -- a lovely place to have a glass of lemonade and enjoy the beautiful view. Staying here confirmed our decision to live on Callawassie Island. Would definitely rent again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

What a beautiful Location, well maintained property and a well stocked kitchen! We had everything that we needed for a wonderful week! Beautiful weather, wonderful fishing, plenty for the non- golfer to do. Callawassie Island is great. We rented this for a family get together and it was perfect. The house is well maintained and close to clubhouse, pools etc. The price is very fair for the area Walking or biking the area is awesome. We have been fortunate to stay in this golf cottage many times, you will not be disappointed! Location is great, easy access to the club house, golf, pool and tennis. Home is clean, and I tend to be picky about this subject. Living room is comfortable, and the wireless is a huge plus for us. We have stayed with two teenage sons in this cottage, and there was room for everyone. Kitchen is well equipped, dining room easily seats 6. There is a large deck with golf views, and a screened in porch with a table for light meals. The island is a quiet getaway, with fabulous golf. If you like nature or bird watching, this is also the place for you. Owner has always been a pleasure to work with and prompt in returning my inquiry for staying here. We love the island, and have stayed in this cottage at least 4 different times. It says a great deal about a place when it has repeat visitors! Hilton Head, Bluffton, and Beaufort are easy drives, with great restaurants and plenty of sightseeing and shopping.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The cottage in Callawassie island was perfect in every way. The cottage is located right on the Dogwood course and had a great view of the golf course. Everything you need is there, very organized and maintained. It was the perfect place for the family (4 adults and 2 children) to hang out and enjoy the time away from everything. The golf course was very nice and well managed. The pool at the club house was a perfect spot for my children to hang out during hot days. Hilton Heads island is 30~40 minute drive away, which was close enough for us to get to when we wanted to head for the beaches. Overall I enjoyed the stay very much and hope to return soon.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway.

We have rented this cottage many times over the past 4 years and have always found it immaculate and very well appointed. Our family of 6 adults have always been very comfortable in this home because of its spaciousness and attention to detail that it provides for the comfort of that many people. We especially enjoy the availability of a golf cart for exploring the island. It is conveniently located to restaurants in Beaufort/Port Royal or the Bluffton/Hilton Head areas. The owner is wonderful to work with and should any need arise he is very quick to take care of things. We hope to return for many more visits!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

My wife and I have stayed at this cottage several times over the last four years. The cottage is well maintained and impeccably clean. The cottage itself is warm and inviting and the owner has always been very accommodating to all of our needs. It is fully equiped for a family to enjoy their stay, whether it be watching a movie or your favorite TV show. The wireless internet is a big plus. The owner has put together a great book so anyone staying can find the best places to dine at local restaurants and find the many activities and attractions available. Callawassie Island offers a beautiful environment to walk and the scenery is breathtaking. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed playing the golf course. It is challenging but fair for all levels of golf players. Additionally, there are beautifully maintained tennis courts and two pools to enjoy a swim. The Club House has a nice southern charm and the food and staff are very good. Finally, my wife and I found this cottage to be a great value and the cost to be very reasonable for the area. We have reccommended this cottage to many of our friends and family.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Callawassie is an awesome place to vacation and or live part time or full time. The accomodations were awesome and the price was much less then others in the area that offered less. There is so much to do at Callawassie and it is so convienent to many other attractions. The best 27 holes of Tom Fazio golf you will ever play. I will definately be back for another visit and stay in these great rental property. thanks for the expierence.
