Anderson house description
New 5 bedroom 5 bath house on Lake Hartwell, with terrific water views from every room! Our home away from home has everything you need to relax and enjoy a fantastic vacation on Lake Hartwell.
Kitchen has beautiful granite counters and is equipped with everything you need and more! Master bedroom is conveniently located on the main level with access to the deck. It has a private master bath with dual sinks, jetted tub, separate shower and walk in closet.
There are two decks, one off the living room and a massive deck lakeside (with Adirondack chairs and umbrellas), as well as a covered patio off of the walk-out finished basement and a covered front porch. Sit and relax with a book during the day and stargaze at night!
For those rainy indoor days, enjoy a game of pool, foosball, board games, video games and movies (large movie collection). We are on a deep water cove with our own private boat dock perfect for swimming, sunbathing and daydreaming!
The lake has so much to offer: boating, sailing, jet skiing, water skiing, fantastic fishing and our personal favorite is camping on one of the many islands around the lake. We are located on the east side of the lake on a quiet dead end street. It’s a quick 10-15 minutes to several grocery stores, restaurants/take-out, local shops and easy access to interstate 85. Enjoy a round of golf and dinner right down the street at Stone Creek Cove. Hop in the car and head out to Anderson Jockey Lot and Farmer’s Market, the south’s largest flea market, for some shopping or to Hartwell Dam for some sightseeing and picture taking! Anderson SC and Hartwell GA have everything you need but if you want more, we're only 90 minutes from Atlanta GA and 2 hours from Charlotte NC. More area information available upon request.
We're conveniently located about 2 blocks from a boat launch. If you don't have your own boat no worries, we offer a fantastic 27 foot pontoon boat for rent (valid license required).

A Choice Lake House!
A Choice Lake House!
Our family just returned from a wonderful three-week stay at this beautiful home. Coming from three different cities, we were hoping to find a place to gather with our three college-age sons, teenage daughter, and family dog before everyone headed their separate ways in the fall. What we found was a beautiful "home away from home" with immaculately clean, spacious rooms, lovely modern decor, and something to do for everyone no matter the weather. When the skies were clear, we strolled down to the dock where we had our choice of taking the boat out on the beautiful, expansive lake, or throwing in a line in hopes of catching that elusive "big one," or enjoying a swim in the quiet cove. Rain clouds moving in just meant we moved inside for a competitive game of pool or foosball, or lounged on the comfy sofa in the movie room to try our skills at Guitar Hero or to enjoy one of the many movies and games at our disposal. Cooking up meals for a hungry crowd was no problem in the well appointed and equipped kitchen. And while we felt completely "away from it all" while watching the amazing sunsets from our choice of decks, we were conveniently located just minutes from grocery stores and I-85. My husband particularly liked having a boat ramp just down the street from the house for easy put in. The owners responded promptly to our questions and seemed to always have our best interest in mind. Where will we stay on our next lake vacation? The choice is obvious.

We absolutely loved the bass fishing and gorgeous views! Our grandson loved the foosball table. The pool table was the adult entertainment with nightly tournaments. We had so much fun that we didn't leave the house all week. We would recommend the house and hope to stay there again soon!

We loved vacationing in this home! One of the best house rentals we've ever done. The owners were fantastic to work with, and so accomadating. The house is very well equipped, spacious and lightfilled. This rental deserves 5 stars.

Our annual family vacation to Lake Hartwell was made truly special this year by staying at this magnificent home! The house itself is well equipped and had everything required for a great vacation. The pictures listed on the website understate this home! All the rooms were very comfortable and have plenty of closet space. The view of the lake is terrific with sensational sunsets clearly visible from the dining and living room. The weather even allowed us to spend some time on the deck and enjoy our coffee and the view of the lake. When we were finished with the lake for the day, we made good use of the pool and foosball table in the evening. My youngest daughter found the electronic games and put them to good use as well. We also rented the pontoon boat and spent most of our days on the lake. The weather was cold and the fishing left a lot to be desired (the water was really cold 48 to 50 degrees). That still didn’t stop us from trying to catch some fish; so we spent most of our days on the boat and still had a wonderful time on the water. Access to the 27 foot pontoon boat is easy with a short walk down to the lakeside deck and then down to the dock. The pontoon boat is easy to drive, had plenty of room for all members of the family to fish from and was comfortable for our entire family; a great bonus for the vacationer. Nice place for a lake vaction!!!

August Family Vacation
August Family Vacation
Seven of our family stayed in your beautiful home the middle of August. There were five adults, two teenage boys, and one dog). We all had a fantastic time! Your rental is exactly as described, but the pictures do not do it justice. Even though the lake level was down 11 feet, it didn't matter. We could still use the pontoon boat (which was delightful), our weather was warm and sunny, and we were all able to relax and enjoy ourselves. The house has everything you could possibly imagine, including a wonderful downstairs equipped with a foosball table, a pool table, and a Wii set-up. Needless to say, the teenagers spent all their indoor time in this room. They thought it was amazing! The adults had the rest of the house to ourselves, with plenty of room to spread out. We visited my husband's family who also lived on Lake Hartwell so we didn't venture out to many restaurants. But we did eat at the Galley one night (15 of us!) and it was fantastic. We would love to return next year if the house is still available. Thanks for a great vacation!!

What an amazing time we had for 2 weeks enjoying your home and boat. We couldn't have asked for anything more other than "helping" my husband catch a fish...Your home was exactly as described and better than any home we have rented in the past at Lake Hartwell. Your attention to detail was fantastic - there is a TV/DVD player in every room and if that wasn't enough, more movies to keep you entertained for years. The owners provided a wealth of information prior to our stay so I felt confortable in this choice. The kitchen was stocked with everything that you needed to cook and so many other items such as games, books, and magazines that you couldn't have been bored. We enjoyed the view of the lake and one of our favorite times of the day was enjoying our morning coffee on the deck. We loved the location and access to grocery stores nearby. We took in 2 restaurants in Anderson, Sullivan's and JPeters Grill so I would recommend them both. We hope that we have another opportunity to rent again. Thanks again for sharing your beautiful lakeside home. We really appreciated the use of the paddle boards and lake toys - It just made that even more special for my 2 grandchildren.

Really enjoyed our time at 1107 Sunset. The fulll size kitchen with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances helped to make cooking while on vacation much more enjoyable. The five bedrooms with televisions in each and the four and a half baths allowed everyone to relax and do their own thing when we weren't boating, eating, sunbathing and swimming, or watching the sunset with a glass of wine. Great vacation. We will do it again!

July 4th Getaway!
July 4th Getaway!
My wife and family stayed here over the July 4th week and couldn't have asked for anything more! We had a fantastic time and the owners we're very responsive to our inquiries and addressing issues as they came up. Overall, it was well worth the price paid and I would recommend renting the boat if you can. The time on the lake was wonderful and worth the experience! We will definitely look to stay here again!

Awesome Lakehouse for Family Reunion =)
Awesome Lakehouse for Family Reunion =)
My family has rented cabins and homes for the past 6 years so we are very experienced in the process. This house had everything we needed to enjoy ourselves. The group consisted of small children, teenagers, young adults, and seniors. It was perfect especially having tvs in all bedrooms, and enough bathrooms. The only thing we all missed was having fans in some of the bedrooms but we had travel fans so it was okay. The house comes with everything you need for the boat. All family members agreed that the boat was our favorite! We especially liked the bottom floor it was a perfect hang out area for the kids so much to do...pool table, games even toys for children. I highly recommend renting the boat so worth it!! Fun Fun Fun!! The owners did an outstanding job keeping in contact with me prior to our arrival. Very polite and helpful owners =)

We take our dad on a lake vacation for a week each year. There are 9 of us, and this house was plenty big enough to accommodate us all comfortably. We love the extra space, the computer area and the game room downstairs. The upper deck is the perfect spot for morning coffee. It is so comfortable and has a wonderful view of the lake below. The location is very convenient too. We went into Anderson for dinner two nights and had very nice meals at Sullivans Metropolitan Grill and J Peters. A couple of us spent a day enjoying all the antique shops in Hartwell and Anderson. The only disappointment was that the lake water is so low that it diminishes the beauty of the lake. There was still plenty of water in our cove, so docking our boat was not a problem. We had a very relaxing week. Thank you for letting us stay in your home!

Year Purchased: 2008
About the owner: We are a Charlotte family who enjoys spending our spare time at Lake Hartwell. We purchased the property in 2008 as a weekend getaway but since our new arrivals we find that getting away is not so easy! So we decided to share our home with vacationers on VRBO. We hope you enjoy your stay at our home away from home.
Why the Owner Chose Anderson:
We choose Lake Hartwell for our family vacation home because it's within driving distance, the lake is much less crowded than popular lakes in the Charlotte area, it's relaxing + peaceful, and the people are so friendly!
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Our dead end street is very quiet allowing us to walk with our dogs and babies without any concerns. There is a boat launch and small park area at the end of the street which is convenient for our renters but seldom used by people in the area. Most of our neighbors are year round residents and super nice! We love the view of the island directly opposite our cove. Sunsets are beautiful year round but particularly spectacular in the summer! The water is very deep allowing us to enjoy skiing, tubing and swimming without worrying about any 'thru-traffic'.
