  We really loved staying in the cottage, it is in excellent condition and very clean. The kitchen has everything you need to make a great meal. It doesn’t have a dishwasher, but that was a non-issue for us. The beds are very comfortable, so is the furniture. Sitting on the screened porch is a delight, watching the waves and birds. You have your very own seagull who shows up every morning for a snack. He chases off other gulls who want to join him. He patiently stands on the dune staring at you until you get the message to get him a treat. He does have a preference for cheese. The cottage is close to the market and a few of the dinning spots. Edisto in winter is very special, loved the quieter pace of the village. We enjoyed tours with Meg from Botany Bay Ecotours. The Jungle Shack and The SeaCow were great dining locations, both have local seafood and great desserts!

  Our family has been renting this cottage for years. It is the best cottage on the beach. Best PRICE best VALUE. The Sanders are wonderful people. Feels like they are family to us. House is IMMACULATE. Shame on anyone that did not respect the Sander's property. Mark, Jane, Andrew and Ryan love the Sander's and thank them for the wonderful memories that contributed to raising a productive family. Thank you Mrs. Grace and Mr. Billy. Look forward to seeing you again this summah (as they say back home) God Bless

  The owner cashed our damage deposit check due to "excess damage", requiring extra cleaning. We left the house in good condition, comparable to the many other places we have stayed. The owner sent pictures of cleaning items that were not mentioned as required in the confirmation email and were not listed in any cleaning list. If you are going to rent here (I wouldn't recommend it), you will need to clean the vacation beach house thoroughly, including cleaning the stove, washing the porch floor, washing linens and removing "excess sand"!

  Owner response: I am sorry there was a misunderstanding as to how you were to leave the cottage when you checked out. Due to the condition of the cottage, 2 extra cleaners were called in and the exterminating company. I sent you pictures and told you what had to be done to get the cottage ready for the next renters. We pride ourselves as to having return renters coming each year and renting for 20-25 years and are told we have one of the cleanest cottages they have ever rented, even with timeshare vacations.

  We had a wonderful time in the cottage during our vacation. Thank you so very much for allowing my family to make many great memories. We just loved the location of the cottage and the best part was the porch!!! We spent more time on the porch then anywhere. We would love to stay again next year! Thank you for the phone call once we arrived to make sure that everything was as expected!

  My parents & I have stayed here for the past three years. It's the perfect beach cottage for a relaxing vacation! It is clean and well maintained. The owners are happy to answer any questions or recommend a local restaurant. My favorite is the beach front screened in porch. We spend many evenings sitting and enjoying the sounds of the ocean. The location is close to the island's grocery store. Edisto is the perfect place for a family with children or those who like the less crowded beach.

  This spring was our 28th year staying in this beach house, and we are looking forward to many more. The description is truly accurate & it has the feel is a true beach house. The owners make improvements every year. Everything you need for a wonderful week is there, the kitchen is well-equipped & maintained, and the house is very clean. When you walk out onto the screen porch, it is like walking onto the beach:: very few Edisto houses have a screen porch this great. The owner is very helpful & nice; they treat us like family. We have recommended this house to friends & relatives, and none have been disappointed. You are in the center of all that Edisto has to offer. If you are truly a beach lover, come to Edisto & stay here.

  We loved staying at this charming home right on the beach in Edisto. The home is exceptionally clean and well maintained. The decor is comfortable and casual, just right for the beach. The screened porch is absolutely the best feature, perfect for breakfast, a shady spot to have lunch, and a nice place to play cards or games with the kids at night. If it had a hammock I would have slept there!!! Parking and underneath storage area is very helpful for chairs and umbrellas. And the downstairs bathroom, accessible from the beach, is fabulous! So convenient. I would highly recommend this home, you will love it!

  My wife, 9 month old son, and my parents spent a week at this cottage in early August 2010. The home is just what we were looking for! We spent every night out on the screened in porch playing games until it was dark, and then we would just sit back and listen to the waves on the breakers. So peaceful! Our little guy got so used to falling asleep to the sound of the waves, we though we'd never get him to sleep at home again. :-) The community is perfectly quiet at night as well. Light and noise ordinances are followed very well, which allowed our son to fall asleep and stay asleep (great for all of us adults to get to chat as well). The rooms are comfortable, the kitchen is well-stocked with everything we needed, and everything was extremely clean! The home is in close proximity to nearby restaurants and the grocery store as well. We cannot WAIT to go back. The property owners are a true pleasure to work with. I forgot my laptop charger when we left, and Grace was so kind to ship it back home to me. I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking to have a fantastic week away.
