I've been here twice before with a friend who uses this condo yearly. Both times were so great that we've booked it again with a different couple for our vacation this summer. It is the nicest one I've seen in Destin, and one of the few with large beds in both rooms - perfect for a couples' weekend. It is modern and clean, but still has a "homey" vibe, with a view that can't be believed. I would recommend this unit to anyone!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.

We had wonderful accommodations in this unit at the Islander. The furnishings were well kept, clean and comfortable. The Kitchen was nicely stocked with everthing my family needed with the comfors of home. The beds slept well and linens are clean and crisp. The view was serene overlooking an inlet and the gulf in the distance. The owners were also acoomodatable making sure our stay was pleasurable. I will return with my family and stay here. Pros: Beautiful Interiors, Great Views, Kitchen Ammenities, Interior Comforts... Probably best unit at the Islander (I peaked in other units and knew we had the best) Cons: No washer/dryer in unit, Sounds accoustics need improvment. (can be improved with larger carpet rugs and soft drapery to help absorb the sound bouncing)Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, people with disabilities, families with young children, romantic getaway.

We took our family vacation here and stayed in this beautiful condo. Our first time at The Islander. I knew by looking at the pictures, this was a nice play to stay. The kitchen is great! I love those cabinets and the gray/silver granite counter tops. The stained concrete floors is such a great idea. The condo was very clean and crisp. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony, watching all the boats. The Islander is such a great place for families. They have 2 pools, which were very clean. It was nice to go to the beach in the mornings and swim in the pools in the evenings. The Islander is close to all the nice restaurants, Target and Walmart. I found it easy to get to where we needed to go. Even though there are lots of people vacationing there, you really couldn't tell. We will definitely stay in condo 514 again.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.

Such a great place to just relax, which we did. The condo was super clean and with great extras. I didn't expect beds, linens and kitchen with such exceptional quality. The grounds are immaculate, and everything at your fingertips. The very best restaurants, shopping etc. within minutes. The staff at the Islander were exceptional, and ALWAYS at the desk to greet you. Security both parking and off the beach were the finest. We had a wonderful time and will definitely stay again.Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway.

Just returned from a week in Destin at this comfortable, newly renovated condo. This place has a great view and it was so nice enjoying breakfast and drinks on the balcony with the sound of the waves crashing in. The bed and sofa were so comfortable and we enjoyed many nice naps in between fishing and going to the beach/pool. The kitchen is equipped with eveything you may need. We cooked some nights and it was so nice to be able to grill just below the condo. Water pressure was great and the shower head had several settings. Concrete floors made it easy to sweep up any sand that we tracked in. Our trip was relaxing and just what we needed to recharge our batteries. This condo is very convenient location-wise and near many good restaurants and other fishing areas including the jettys, public beaches and harbor. We can't wait to plan our next trip back, the owners were so friendly and easy to work with! Thanks for the best week we've had in a long time :) !!!!!!!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.

We found the pictures and the description of the property to be well represented of this Condo #514. The unit is well stocked with very nice kitchen accesories and very comfortable. We did many things while here at the Islander as we had several visitors from our two daughters and their families. We rode the dolphin boat, parasailed, deep sea fishing, spent a lot of time at the beach, also swimming in the pools, grilled many times, wethent to several aviation museums, rode our bikes, and shopping. Of course, we can't forget to mention the many times that we saw dolphins chasing each other in the Gulf besides the many times we ate at the local restaurants. I have only touched on a few things that we did here while at the Islander, but our "most favorite" thing to do while here is to walk to the Jetty and lay in the sun while my husband flies his kites! The owner was great at checking with us to make sure everything was okay and if we needed anything. We would recommend by all means this property to everyone and are looking forward to spending next year here! My husband and I spent a week in this unit on our honeymoon in May. The condo was very comfortable, spacious (it's actually bigger than it looks in the photos on the listing), and beautifully decorated. Everything we needed for the pool and the beach was right there in the condo. The kitchen also had everything we needed, we ended making many of our meals at the condo but found some really good places for dinner very close by as well. The view of the water from the balcony was beautiful and we were even treated to a skywiting show at sunset one evening. Spending our days on the beach was our favorite part of the trip. The white sand beach was a short walk from the condo and it is absolutely gorgeous, the water is amzing and every day we saw dolphins playing in the water. We would definitely reccomend this unit to a friend or relative. I've told so many friends staying in this condo is like filling your lungs with oxygen. The decor is so refreshing with its lack of clutter. I love the beautiful concrete flooring and marble countertops. The kitchen is better equiped than mine at home. I took lots of photos of sunsets from the balcony. One evening it would be brilliant orange and the next hot pink. I enjoyed watching the sail boats glide across the water. One day I even saw lots of porpoise playing near the beach. The friendly and courteous staff at the Islander make you feel at home. It's wonderful to find a condo on the beach I love as much as the white sand of Destin. I've been coming here over 30 years and this is by far my favorite place I've stayed.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.
