SUNSET RIDGE VILLAS is suitably named for its location high on the hillside with magnificent views of the Caribbean Sea and flaming sunsets (watch for the “green flash”)! The hilltop location amidst lush, tropical landscaping captures the cooling trade wind breezes and affords outstanding panoramas of the bays surrounding St. John with St. Thomas in the distance. The common area pool deck has a 50 foot pool with built-in corner wading pool and fountain, lounge chairs, deck tables and chairs.
The six spacious (1800 sq ft) individual townhouse villas offer tranquil privacy inside a gated courtyard. Each villa has a two story “Great House” with living area on the first floor and bedroom on the second floor, as well as a second building which houses the large master bedroom suite. The interiors are decorated with a Caribbean flair and have tile floors throughout, cathedral ceilings in the bedrooms, a mahogany stair case, screened sliding glass doors, ceiling fans, cable TV, and wireless internet access. The two buildings at each villa are separated by a large, private, fully enclosed court yard complete with umbrella covered table with seating for four, side chairs & table and a gas BBQ grill.
The tropical inspired rattan furnishings in the living area include a queen-size sleeper sofa, love seat, occasional tables, and flat screen televisions with Cable TV service and DVD players.. The dining table for six overlooks the courtyard through sliding glass doors. The recently remodeled, fully-equipped kitchen includes dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, blender, toaster, dishes, glassware, cookware, and utensils -- everything you will need to prepare a gourmet dinner, snacks for the beach, or exotic island drinks to enjoy at the pool or in the privacy of your own courtyard. A half bath and washer/dryer are also located on the first floor of the Great House.
Ascend the open mahogany staircase to the large sleeping area on the second floor where you will find two comfortable queen size beds (units A - D) or one queen size bed plus two twin beds (units E & F) plus and en suite bathroom with walk-in tiled shower.
Offering maximum privacy, the master bedroom suite is located in a separate building across the courtyard from the main house. The master bedroom features a comfortable queen size bed and en suite bathroom with tiled walk-in shower. There is also a TV with Cable TV service and DVD player in the suite.
Enjoy the privacy of your spacious courtyard while you prepare meals on the gas BBQ grill, enjoy 'sundowner' cocktails as you watch the sunset while dining alfresco under the stars.
The fully-screened windows and sliding doors let in the hillside breezes and combine with ceiling fans and floor fans to provide for a comfortable indoor living space. A safe, located in each master bedroom suite is provided for the storage of your valuables. Beach chairs, beach towels, and coolers are available for your trips to our many beautiful beaches. A Welcome Bag with snacks and beverages will be in the fridge for your arrival.
AROUND ST. JOHN
SUNSET RIDGE VILLAS is located only 5 minutes from the main town of Cruz Bay and 15 minutes from the world famous National Park beaches on the North shore of St. John. A notebook binder in your villa will provide you with extensive information on St. John activities (water sports, hiking, boating) as well as dining and shopping alternatives. Your on-island hosts at CimmaronStJohn are always available to provide their recommendations on restaurants, beaches, chef services or masseuses and to offer suggestions on the many ways to spend your day -- taking a boat trip (sailboat or motor boat) in one of the finest cruising areas in the world, hiking the many trails in the Virgin Islands National Park, snorkel or dive adventures or playing a round of golf or shopping on St. Thomas, etc.
Renting a 4 WD vehicle is highly recommended to best explore and get the most out of our beautiful island. There currently is no requirement for U.S. citizens to have a passport when traveling to the U.S. Virgin Islands. If you wish to venture to the nearby British Virgin Islands, a passport is required.

We've stayed at Sunset Ridge Villas every year since 1997 and we absolutely love it there! For a few years, the condos declined as far as maintenance was concerned; however, that is definitely in the past! The upgrades that have been made in the last several years by the Homeowners Association are too numerous to list and maintenance is outstanding. The views toward St. Thomas are breathtaking and since there are only six villas, it is private and relaxing. We highly recommend SRV.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers.

Back again this year to rent two wonderful weeks on St John. Sunset Ridge continues to improve. Upgrading major appliances as needed. Many small details improving too. Quiet area and million dollar sunsets. Great value. Must see to appreciate.Recommended for: Age 55+, adventure seekers.

We have visited Sunset Ridge Villas several times and are pleased at how the Management Committee, since taking over from the developer have improved the villa's. We just rented a week over the 4th of July and went to Carnival in Cruz Bay. An incredible experience! The villas now have a new management company that has made many improvements in the past year. There is now a second road that can be used which eliminated the need to drive up a very steep hill. The unit was very clean, well stocked and if anything additional is needed a call to the management company brings prompt action. The villa's are conveniently located to some of the most beautiful beaches and vistas in the world. Many restaurants to choose from, actually too many to list here and all have excellent food, Bottom line, if you like a quiet laid back vacation, Sunset Ridge Villas and St John may be just the place you are looking for.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

Have Stayed at Sunset Ridge 4 times and you just can't beat the view. It is clean, comfortable and very private unlike the big resort since there is only six units. I can't wait for June so I can go back and enjoy another great week in paradise.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

We spent most of the first week in January at Sunset Ridge with 2 other couples. More great improvements and many small details corrected. All kitchen and bath cabinets are new with tile counters, sinks and lights in four units, the last two will be completed as occupancy permits. Courtyard and unit doors are all new. New Management Company is doing alot to improve units and increase rentals. The past four years have shown great changes, for those that have been going down to SRV regularly. Money well spent and alot of work by the SRVOA Mgt Committee.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.
