Lake Martin, Neros Point
Three bedroom, two bath house with a large great room extending from the kitchen on one end to a fireplace on the other end-approximately 20 x 38 feet. The ceiling is 24 foot vaulted stained wood with beams that expand the width of the house. The “A” frame of the wall facing the lake has windows to the ceiling so you can see the trees and sky while sliding glass doors across the front provide a wonderful view of the lake. There is also a loft (29' x 14') with a ping pong table as well as a TV viewing area. Cable is provided along with wireless internet. Queen size aero bed available for extra sleeping space. The laundry room, with washer and dryer, is also located in the loft. A large deck expands the front of the house and smaller covered decks are on both sides of the house. Kitchen is fully equipped and linens are provided.
The lot is very wooded and private–you can not see the neighbors houses in the summer.
At the end of the pier, one side is deep for mooring the boats while the other side is shallow for children to swim and play.
Location is an easy drive to military bases in Montgomery, Auburn for football games, or Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail in Pratville. (app 35-40 miles for each location).

We had a really great time at Nero's Point. We brought our dogs and adult children. We were able to spend quality time together in a wonderful home. The lake was awesome, the dock and beach area were just perfect. I would very much like to make this trip every year.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Driving up to the back of this A frame cottage did not prepare us for the large amount of living space and great expanse of glass overlooking the Lake. We were looking for a dog friendly place to take our college age kids and their dog. We were pleasantly surprised to see how bright and airy the living and kitchen area was with a "wall of glass" and cathedral ceiling. The bedrooms were cozy with window treatments that could keep the bright sun out if you preferred an afternoon nap. The loft area was perfect for our guys who hooked up our Playstation 3 to the large flat screen TV---and didn't bother the rest of us as we lounged downstairs. The kitchen had up to date appliances with a huge stainless steel refrigerator and a very quiet dishwasher. There were ceramic dishes for fine dining and plastic if you preferred a more casual meal on the deck. The home was easy to find with the owner's directions and was better than what we expected from the pictures. It was very well appointed but was used well enough to make you feel at ease putting your feet on the sofa. We felt like it was "our home away from home". We were surrounded by trees and didn't even realize there were neighbors until we took our boat out on the slough. The water was deep enough for our ski boat on one side of the pier and was shallow enough for young children (or dogs) on the other side. Our entire family welcomed a chance to rest and relax. If you like nature, a relaxing atmosphere, or adventures on the water, this is the place for you. We got a map of the lake and quickly learned where all the marinas were, tried our hand at climbing chimney rock, and boated around some of the beautiful homes on THE RIDGE. We definitely would recommend this property to others but want to make sure our name is on the calendar for another trip. I want to see how it looks in the fall!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

My family of 5 joined another family of 3 for a long weekend on Martin. The house was just the right size for 8. The kitchen was well appointed with plenty of cabinet and counter space for food; we had everything we needed to make a country breakfast or a full dinner. The kitchen was also well-suited for under counter storage for larger items such as coolers and cases of water. The combination of seemingly countless ceiling fans and excellent AC kept us very cool and comfortable. The loft served as a fun central area to play ping pong or watch a little TV. We really appreciated the huge fixed dock and adjacent floating dock. The docks and tie-downs easily accommodated our two 19' SeaRay deep-Vs. In a pinch, one could tie a third boat to the dock. Overall, the house was exceptionally clean, nicely furnished and well-appointed. We will definitely stay at this house again the next time we come to Lake Martin.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

Just a note to say how much we LOVED your "cabin!" What an idyllic spot, nestled on that perch in the woods, overlooking the water. And your home is lovely. Do so hope to get to come back again soon. Till next time, thanks so much again.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 6/6

About the owner: Our family and friends have enjoyed the beauty of Lake Martin for many years. We have always had dogs and they, too, love the lake. Since the children are grown and have moved away we decided for the first time to share our home.
Why the Owner Chose Eclectic:
We purchased this vacation home because after traveling to the lake with friends, we were captivated by the beauty of the area. The lake was close to our home in Montgomery; the setting is rural; but an easy drive to Birmingham, Alexander City, Auburn and even Atlanta. The lake is large and pristine and while it has grown in popularity over the years; however, it is not overcrowded. There are plenty of good restaurants within 5 to 10 minutes; and you do not have to deal with the over crowded roads of the beach.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
The location of the home makes you feel secluded as the house is surrounded on three sides by woods while the front faces the lake. Yet, there are many attractions and restaurants nearby-either by land or water. A unique area, The Crossroads, boasts a fabulous grocery,Catherine's Market, with a fresh meat department as well as unique grocery items and deli. In addition, an equestrian center with horses available for rent is also located there. For those who are interested in fine dining Springhouse Restaurant is fabulous. Boats are also available for rental at a nearby marina.
