  We really enjoyed the pool and house amenities. It was a very comfortable place to stay and very convenient to the beach. One of our group really loved the fishing! Would stay here again. All the online pictures and information were very helpful and accurate. Loved The Bayhouse, Campiello's, and New York Pizza.

A short walk to the Beach Private Access is the best part and when you come home to enjoy the heated pool and dock for fishing and sunsets.   I HAVE STAYED AT 156 CHANNEL DR. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS OVER THE PAST 2 YEARS AND EACH TIME IT IS BETTER AND BETTER. I TRULY HATE TO LEAVE THIS HOUSE! THE HOUSE IS WELL APPOINTED WITH ALL THE AMENITIES YOU COULD THINK OF PLUS MORE. THE POOL AND HOUSE ARE WELL MAINTAINED, REGULARLY UPDATED AND THE FURNITURE THROUGHOUT, INCLUDING THE POOL DECK IS GREAT. THE NEW LARGE SCREEN TV AND PLUSH LEATHER COUCHES ARE NICE ADDITIONS AS WELL. THE NEW PAVER WALKWAY IN FRONT AND BACK IS JUST STUNNING. YOU WILL WANT TO SPEND THE MAJORITY OF YOUR TIME AT THE HOUSE ENJOYING THE WARM LARGE POOL AND THE VIEWS OF THE CANAL AS WELL AS ENJOYNG YOUR OWN PRIVATE BEACH. MAKE IT A POINT TO WALK ON THE BEACH DAILY TO ENJOY THE SUNSET-BRING YOUR CAMERA. THIS HOUSE MAKES YOU FEEL AT HOME -THE OWNER SCOTT IS A DELIGHT AND MOST ACCOMODATING. I HAVE STAYED AT MANY PLACES, BUT NONE COMPARE TO THIS----I KNOW YOU WILL ENJOY IT AS MUCH AS I DO------CONVENIENT TO FINE DINING AND SHOPPING--WHAT MORE COULD ONE ASK FOR-----GREAT VACATION AWAITS.

  Just stayed at the house on Channel Dr. It is a newly remodeled home, with a perfect location on the waterway, a block from the beach, and a private swimming pool. What is not to enjoy???

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

  On our evening arrival, the house was 93 degrees inside. It was soon obvious that the air conditioner was not working and the next morning we began attempting to contact the owner, with no response. In the heat, the house was nearly uninhabitable. By the 3rd day we had decided to move, but then finally heard back from the owner, who sent a repairman. Unfortunately, the owner did not come to facilitate the repair, instead expecting us to open the house. As we had expensive jewelry and laptops with us, we did not feel comfortable letting repairmen in the house alone. The 3 hour repair was seemingly successful. The owner did not call or follow up. Then the kitchen sink clogged, precluding using it and forcing us to do dishes in the laundry room and after a few hours, the air conditioner again failed. We attempted beginning the late afternoon of the 3rd day to contact the owner, without success. On the 4th day, we reached the owner; he seemed annoyed and implied that we had caused the issues, but did arrange for repairmen later that day. Again, the owner expected us to arrange with the repairman to be present for their work. The sink required multiple repairmen and 5 hours to fix and the air conditioner required 4 hours to fix a wiring short behind the dry wall. We had air-conditioning by the late afternoon of the 4th day of our 6-day stay. On the afternoon of the 5th day the owner did call to check on how the repairs had gone. While we certainly understand that things break down in houses, we expect when staying at VRBO properties that issues will be taken care of nearly immediately, with minimal disruption to our stay. We are on vacation, and do not expect to be the acting home owner, coordinating delayed repairs and spending copious amounts of our precious time off doing so for other people’s properties, particularly with a 3 year old in the Florida heat. At no point did the owner offer to arrange for us to move to another facility or offer other options. While we are pleased by the reports that the owner has subsequently replaced the air conditioner, we are concerned that the owner has shown a pattern of delayed and inadequate response to significant issues that may arise. Having stayed at over 20 VRBO facilities since 2007, we have never had a problem like this before. This is the first time that we were seriously prepared to accept the added expense and hassle of moving to another property. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

  Owner response: Bill - I have replaced the complete air condition system so it will work fine in the future. I did have repairman go to the house the day you told me about it and I did the same for the sink/plumber the day you told me you clogged it. Sorry this is the first time I have heard of your concerns, but I did call repairman ASAP and they did arrive to fix everything. I hope you understand that is all anyone could do when repairs are necessary. I will always do the best anyone can for repairs. Scott

  Very nice and quiet location with access to a beautiful "private" beach. The house was clean and the new 60" TV Plasma was very nice. The grill and the pool were also perfect. We had a very good time in this house and we will come back asap. Svetlana&Bruno

  Owner response: Thanks Bruno, Most people are surprised to see how Private our beach is because nobody else can use it, so it is your own Private Beach. Its about a 1-2 minute walk and you're on the beach and it's "all to yourself". The house is getting a new stone walkway down to the canal/deck next week so the house is always being improved. Scott

  We loved this house and the location was great. Private beach was very nice. Lots to do in the area and close to stores. The owner was very helpful during our stay. Would recommend to anyone. We will be visiting again!

I have completely updated this house (last month) with new paint (inside/outside) and electrical improvements and the 60" TV so you can enjoy the Beach 100 yards away. Since you were here I installed new lights for outside walkways and into plants/trees for use outside at night. I do appreciate your comments as I enjoy people having a great time beause we do have a great house and location.

  Our family of three adults and one dog stayed for two weeks at this Naples property. I am not sure the house lived up to the build-up created by the owner or the price. There were parts of the house that were fantastic such as the lanai, family room, kitchen and living room. They were all as advertised, spacious and comfortable. There is a claim that the interior has just been painted, this cannot be true. The front bathroom was dirty with strange stains on the ceiling. In fact both bedrooms and bathrooms really could use a facelift, especially given the price. There were little things that I felt were not fulfilled by an owner. The master bathroom in was odd and dirty, the duct tape placed on the shower fixture tacky. There was supposedly a great sound system available that would play music in most of the home; but only two channels came in. The owner provides a Kayak that looks as if it has seen better days; it was loaded with dirty water and bugs. The outside dock did not have electricity, or water to make fishing and enjoying the area easier. Later on in our stay one of the multiple handymen who walks around the exterior of the house on any given day said that it seemed there hasn’t been electricity going out there in some time. Our most annoying issue took place with four days left of our vacation. The pool was getting progressively greener. We called the owner to let him know that things were not looking good and maybe he should call the maintenance man. The next day the pool was un-swimmable, and disgusting, but the owner showed up. Only to find out he doesn’t check his messages and he wasn’t there for us, he was there to get an estimate on installing a new air conditioner unit. That is something else that should be noted, there is always someone walking around the house doing some kind of work, but no one is actually able to fix anything. I think it gives the illusion that the owner cares. We told him again about the pool, and he told me it was due to all the rain. As if rain in south Florida rain is something new, and if I might add all the other homes around the rental also dealing with rain were perfectly blue and swimmable. On the last day of our trip the pool guy showed up, with a huge attitude blaming the rain. I did however get a text message from the owner on our last night assuring us he uses the “best and biggest” pool cleaning operation in the city of Naples. We won’t be returning.

  Owner response: Sorry you didn't like our house, but most of what you said it not correct and the other people reviewing our house will show this. Two separate renters just used the house after you, and they loved it and their reviews are coming soon. We just finished a complete repainting and summer maintenance with a new air conditioning system and when renters alert us to repairs we fix them as soon as possible. We are proud of our house and will always try to make it better than you expect. If we missed something we are sorry about that.

  We found this house to be every bit as nice as the video, The house was was comfortable, clean, and ideal for two couples. The walk to the most amazing beach was 2 minutes, and there were lots of beach chairs to take with us. Scott has just bought some new bikes, not sure how many work now. The area is close to a grocery store by short drive. There are also restaurants, and shopping nearby. Hope we can go back someday soon.

  Owner response: Hi Susan - Thanks and I'm glad you enjoyed the short walk to the Private Beach Access for our street. I have added 1 more bicycle so there are 4 new bicycles. The house is convenient for two couples to save money and still enjoy the house, and we just added a 60" TV Plasma/HD and Comcast/HD with Recordable, with HBO/ShowTime to enjoy the evenings. We also added a new BBQ and Painted the House and Pool deck and Sun Deck/Dock. So the house is really brand new and freshly painted everywhere so come back soon. Thanks Scott

  Hi Scott - TJ and I wanted to thank you for everything this past week. Your rental house is beautiful and we had such a nice time on our vacation. It's so nice to be in a house with more of the comforts of home rather than a hotel. An everything that your home had to offer was just perfect for us. From the comforts inside, to the pool, view of the water on the deck, to the bikes - it was perfect. Thanks again!   My family, wife and two sons, stayed at the house and had a great time. Quiet street, quiet pool and waterside and very close to the beach...2min walk. Scott made it all very easy, calling and stopping by a few times to clean up the fallen palm tree leaves on the lawn. Very easy to get to the place and very easy to sit on the deck chair and relax and enjoy the sun. We will be back...thanks again Scott.
