Large, luxury house on Mount Crested Butte (3200'). Incredible views in all directions. Comes with all the amenities (including large hot tub for 5-7 people) that you need for a fantastic winter, summer, or off-season vacation. Sunny, open, floor plan with hickory wood floors and mountain home feeling. Sit in the living room and look out at Mount Crested Butte. House has three separate decks, one of which has a gas grill on it. The house has beds for 10 people, plus a queen sofa bed and futon bed. It is also handicap accessible.
First floor has open floor plan for the living room, dining room and kitchen, plus three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The master bedroom has king bed and private bathroom, complete with its own Jacuzzi tub. The second bedroom has a queen bed, with direct access to the second bathroom (both are handicap accessible). The third bedroom has a twin bed and bunk beds. There also is a laundry room and large hall area that is great for shedding your winter clothes.
Second floor has two separate spaces. The first is a loft with both an office (with great views of Snodgrass Mtn) and a living room area with a queen size futon bed. Great area for reading, playing games and getting away. WiFi with 5 meg internet access makes this a great place to get caught up with the "outside world" while on vacation. House also has free long distance in the US. The second space is a full-size, one-bedroom apartment (queen bed plus a twin), complete with its own kitchen. Apartment is great asset for families with small children that need privacy and quiet or a group of kids that want their own space, away from the adults!!
Crested Butte is acknowledged as the place to go in Colorado for extreme skiing (plenty of blue and green runs too!!!), is the home of mountain biking, and is the state's wildflower capital.
For winter vacations, house is located one mile north of the base ski lifts and on the FREE shuttle bus route. Renters also have access to owner's VIP ski locker which is located at the base of the lifts. This is great way to store your ski equipment during the trip. Hill in the backyard is great for sledding. For all other seasons, great mountain biking, hiking, fishing, and exploring the seasonal colors, including the annual Wildflower Festival in July. Many festivals and events throughout the spring, summer, and fall seasons (Wildflower, Arts, Film, Cooking).

Crested Butte, Colorado is a beautiful mountain town, nestled in the towering Rocky Mountains, in the midst of a variety of wildflowers and Aspen trees as far as the eye can see... I think I’ve found one of my "beary" favorite places to visit!
This home is a fantastic combination of all the conveniences of home blended with all the luxuries of a fine hotel or lodge. Ideally suited for large families or groups, with 3 bedrooms on the main level and a private 1-bedroom apartment in the loft. This residence will give you a "home sweet home" feeling with beautiful hardwood floors, a warm mixture of decorations and furnishings and large windows viewing the Alpine Valley. Relax to the "max" in the large hot tub or curl up on the couch with your favorite "bearverage" and enjoy looking through one of the many picture books provided.
Mount Crested Butte, where the home is located, is a short 3 mile drive or bike ride away from the small town of Crested Butte. Here you will find friendly residence and visitors gathering on Elk Avenue, the main strip in town. Elk Avenue offers an assortment of shops and restaurants where you are sure to find something to fit your liking. A trip to Gunnison, about 30 miles away lead me to the Black Canyon where I hiked down to the river and walked the once, narrow gauge railroad line. With tickets bought ahead of time at the visitor’s center one can take a guided boat trip down the river and learn the history of the area. You can also enjoy great trout fishing here.
Whether you are here to bike the mountains, ski the slopes, attend the many art and music festivals, or just getaway... you are sure to enjoy this spectacular home in Mount Crested Butte, Colorado!

WOW! what can I say other than this was no doubt one of the finest VRBO properties I have stayed in. My Alumni buddies from WSC in Gunnison and I finally pulled off a boys ski trip after 28 years. The house was fantastic, perfectly clean, stocked, and lots of room. Fantastic views from the multiple family room windows of Mt Crested Butte and the rest of the snow capped mountains. After skiing the tons of snow with no lift lines, we would finish off in the hot tub on the large deck as the perfect way to end a great day of skiing! A BIG thanks to Steve, the VRBO local contact who took great care of us with excellent customer service! No doubt we will be back! Thank you for making our trip everything we hoped it would be.

This house was fully equipped with anything we needed throughout our stay. The people in charge of maintaining the property were extremely punctual in answering all of the questions we had while we were there. The house itself was great, it is designed expertly for larger groups of people (we went with three families) with a good amount a sitting room. It was extremely clean and decorated well and of course the views while sitting in a hot tub can't be beat! We just booked our second trip their and are so excited!
Owner response:Thank you so much! We love to see return guests and are glad your stay was a memorable one. IHPM
