This 2 storey cottage (internal spiral staircase) is surrounded by rolling hills, vines and olive groves and with the delights of Florence and the Chianti countryside on your doorstep, the cottage offers a charming Tuscan base for couples and families alike. Cerbaia is the nearest town only 5mins drive. Originally an 18th century barn, it has been lovingly restored and provides comfortable accommodation whilst retaining many of its original features such as terracotta floors, exposed beams and vaulted ceilings. The open-plan living-dining room, with comfy sitting and double sofa bed has a wonderful stone fireplace (ornamental only), leads out to a private terrace, perfect for alfresco dining. A path leads through the rambling gardens to the beautiful swimming pool where you can relax. The discreet owners live in the main house occasionally use the pool and are available for assistance. However the cottage is totally private and not overlooked as there is plenty of natural plant screening

Initially the villa was destined to be our grown up child residence but it has not happened. We decided instead to rent it on a weekly basis and share with guests from all over the world the beauty of its location and quality of the interiors. I hope you will agree with it.

Our philosophy is to maintain the original features of the traditional Tuscan home without compromising in comfort. Every detail is based on previous guests suggestions which have always guided us in choosing the layout and furniture. The villa is highly appreciated by families for its safe grounds, completely enclosed and vicinity to the town. Although it feels deliciously rural, it is not isolated with few local residents nearby and a English speaking person handy in case of need. The central location with excellent road connections makes most of the unmissable sights easy to reach on a leisurely day trip, including the beaches of Versilia within 50 mins drive. The property enjoys total privacy provided by lush vegetation.
