Sixteen of us from Ohio, West Virginia and North Carolina spent 4 wonderful nights at the Cabin. We were amazed at how well-stocked it was - in fact all a group really needs to bring are food and clothes. And the level of cleanliness certainly exceeded the five stars! Pre-trip, Monica was always very quick in answering any and all questions/concerns. We arrived Christmas Eve and Jay was at the Cabin to give us a tour of the place and then made sure we had his phone number in case we needed anything at anytime!!! Customer Service way beyond excellent!!! We had plenty of room to gather the whole gang or to spread out and allow each to do his own thing. Of course, the indoor pool was a huge hit for December in Ohio. It snowed the day after Christmas and some of the brave nuts of our group ran around the outside of the house in swimming suits while it snowed!!! The 3-D TV, pool table and pinball machine in the game room were all kept busy too! Also, most of the group walked the trail and loved it. We really used all the amenities and have nothing but rave reviews for everything!!! We had 2 grandmas - ages 79 and 83 - in our group and they too enjoyed the opportunity to be with family in such a great place! There are quite a number of stairs, but only 6 at a time to navigate which was not a problem for the older ladies. We are all so thankful to the Lord for allowing us to be together and for blessing Monica & Jay with such hospitality!!! Cabin at the Crossroads is very highly recommended!

As the one who seems to be the "find a place for our trip" person, I have had some duds, and our joke upon arrival is the line, "it doesn't look like the picture". Everyone, THIS IS JUST LIKE THE PICTURES! Only better. This absolutely beautiful home is a perfect place for a gathering of friends, for a family reunion, or even a vacation where you truly want to relax. The owners meet you at the door, not to give you the rules, but to allow you a joyful tour and history of the home, so you immediately feel relaxed and extremely welcome. Our weekend, which was our group called The Winers, was a time for good friends to gather and this house with many rooms, the pool, the hot tub, the kitchen where one can cook and still talk up a storm with those gathered in the breakfast nook, and the big comfy couches is a perfect spot. If the Buckeyes had not had the audacity to have a game, I don't know if we would have ever turned on one of the many TVs. It rained and was cold and we did not care. Some people barely left the pool, others read books, we talked, we laughed, we talked, we toasted, and we are now big fans of the Cabin at the Crossroads. We are so grateful to Monica and Jay who made the process and our stay so fantastic!

Every summer my 5 sisters and I, along with our kids--ages ranging from 1 to 17 years old, rent a vacation home for a week. This year we were lucky enough to find the Cabin at the Crossroads! This is a beautiful home which offers so much to do. The rooms were clean and comfortable! We had a blast in the spacious yard having yard game competitions, and at night relaxed by the fire! There is a great walking trail right in the back of the house! Everything you could possibly need/want is in the house so packing for this vacation home is easy! The owners are so easy to work with! We recommend this home to families and friends of all ages; you won't be disappointed!

This review is going to be short and sweet because the Cabin at the Crossroads is PERFECT!!! The house is top notch, very private and has everything you could ever need to make your stay fun, relaxing and so much more. We are six high school friends who have been vacationing on a girl’s weekend for 24 years. Next year is our 25th and all of us will be 50 years of age in 2012. It was a no-brainer…we rescheduled for a week for our 25th year. Thank you Monica from the EFR girl’s and can’t wait for June :o)

We are a group of gals 38 years to 58 years of age. We have a long girl's weekend starting on a Thursday, ending Sunday. Monica met us at the home about 2:00 PM on Thursday. She walked us (all 8 of us) thru the home answering our questions, showing us how to use the TV for Netflix and such in the media room. That was really nice, we have been renting houses for our girl's weekends for years and this was a first to actually have someone meet us. She showed us the many closets with shampoos, creams, conditioners, towels, absolutely everything needed to make our stay feel like we were at home. We could not believe how well stocked everything was. From toilet tissue, paper towels, spices, beach towels, bath towels, just name it and it was there. She soon left us to our giggles, to us organizing and we opened our 1st bottle of wine as we claimed bedrooms and made plans! We used every room in the home! We swam, relaxed in the hottub, played pool, watched chick movies, 3 D movies, pin ball! We cooked, one gal even made a New York style cheesecake! Yes, there is a kitchenAid mixer, casserole dishes (many) and believe it or not even 2 springform pans. We even found a bread maker! The house is so large and designed for large groups. Everyone was able to do there own thing either alone or in groups. The pool is bathwater warm! Plenty big with lots of pool toys! It was fun to swim late in the evening and then relax in the hottub. There is a wonderful fire ring area although it was too cold and misty for us to use. But the wood is there ready for your family or friends to use. The porch has plenty of seating, but there again too cold for us to use. At one point on the weekend we had trouble with the pinball machine. A phone call to Monica's husband solved the problem with him talking her thur the fix. What a nice guy. If you are thinking of renting this home for your get away, family reunion, parents college weekend, any event don't hesitate for a minute. It was more than expected. We are thinking about returning again next year and we usually don't return to the same place twice! Thanks Monica for sharing this lovely home! Brenda, Mo, Karen, Kelly, Josh, Carol, Anne and Ann

I celebrated my 50th birthday here with my four sisters. The cabin was more than I had expected. The pictures online are great and very accurate. We enjoyed every room of the house. We brought all our food with us and made all our meals in the cabin and on the grill. We wanted to be able to sit back, relax, and enjoy what we had come for. I would highly recommend it to anyone. I know my sister went home and booked it for her family already!

We didn't know what to expect when we arrived at the house, but Monica was there to personally welcome us and show us around the property. The home was lovely and had a very cozy and homey feel. There was plenty of room for our 16 member family. We stayed for a week when the weather was hot and humid. Unfortunately, we had some issues with the airconditioner for a few days but Jay promptly responded to the problem and called in a technician to fix it when the problem couldn't be resolved. Because of the heat, we stayed indoors most of our stay but there were plenty of things at the house to keep us occupied. There were board games, 3D DVDs, pool table for the adults, and the ultimate fun game for the dads - the pinball machine! The indoor swimming pool was also a big hit, especially for the kids. The water temp was just right and the pool room temp was warm and comfy when you stepped out of the water. Considering the time of year we were there, we did not experience a lot of mosquitoes while eating outdoors. The trees surrounding the home kept the outdoor temperature comfortable which we took advantage of as we ate our meals on the deck and enjoyed the natural setting around us. The long driveway not only provided ample opportunity for the kids to display their sidewalk chalk artistic creations but also gave us an opportunity to walk off some of the pounds gained after a good meal. The neighboring equestrian farm provided horses for our viewing pleasure. There is also plenty of yard space to run around in and play ball games. We'll have to remember to bring a volleyball and badminton next time. A storm went through during our stay which knocked out the power but the generator kicked in to keep our food from getting spoiled and to give us enough light to play cards in the dining room. We used the firepit a couple of times, making s'mores and just enjoying each other's company. Overall, it was a very relaxing stay, perfect for our desire to reconnect and have a simple and quiet get-away from the hustle and bustle of life. Thank you Monica and Jay, for sharing your cabin with us. We had a memorable stay at Cabin at the Crossroads. We hope to be able to come back again next year.

We had a small staff retreat here with a few families and it was great. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out and not feel on top of each other. So much to do for the kids, they were never bored. From the pinball machine, pool table, 3D movies, Wii. Oh, and the most important reason we choose this house- the INDOOR POOL. That made everyone's day! Thank you, Monica, for making your home available to us. We had a great time and would recommend anyone visit on any occasion!
