I stayed in this home with my sister and her husband from April 19 - 27, 2013. The home is very nice and well though-out. The kitchen is large and well-equipped with lots of dishes, pots and pans and utensils. My sister and her husband slept in the master bedroom, which had air-conditioning. I slept in the guest room, which had no a/c, but didn't need it as the ceiling fan put out plenty of cool air for me. The concrete steps from the driveway to the house were a little daunting when we arrived with suitcases and groceries, but thereafter were no problem on normal trips in and out. The same type of steps lead from the back door to the gorgeous lower deck. But the steps are wide and not steep and were easy for us to navigate. The outdoor shower area is wonderful. We enjoyed breakfast on the lower deck watching boats go past the deck, and our sunsets in the evening were amazing. The house is very comfortable and just like being at home. The beds were very comfortable, too. It's only a 3 min drive to the settlement of Current, and about a 10 min drive to Lower Bogue which has more stores and restaurants. We loved our stay here and appreciated the owners who were gracious and generous with their helpful advice about things to do and places to go. The owners suggested that we contact James O'Brien for a fishing/snorkel trip, which we did. James was a wonderful guide our outing with him was one of the highlights of our trip. We would definitely stay here again.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We just returned from our week stay in Current and was it perfect! A piece of paradise for sure! We loved watching the sunset every night from our private beach and patio. It is great to be able to get away from all of the chaos in your life and go to a place as comfortable, relaxing, and refreshing as what David and Trish have. You have all of the luxuries of a well equipped chef's kitchen, comfortable living room with large screen tv and cable (although we only turned it on once), WIFI, Gym, washer and dryer, a fantastic patio overlooking the beautiful Caribbean waters, and your own private beach!! We went snorkeling right out our back door many times throughout the week and found enormous starfish, a few eagle rays, conch shells, sand dollars, and many various different fish. If you are in search of dinning out, Harbor Island offers many options including several 5 star restaurants and is less than 30 minutes travel time from the house. A big THANK YOU to David and Trish who were very accommodating and helpful in making sure we felt at home during hour stay. A definite, RECOMMEND!! We will be back as this is our new favorite place to stay on Eleuthera.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway.

This was our second trip to Eleuthra, so we knew what to expect - beautiful beaches, small villages, clear blue water. We choose to stay in Current because we wanted to explore the north end of the island and we were not disappointed. The house was perfect - right on the water. I went snorkelling and shelling every day and my husband went fishing. Although the local grocery store is only a 15 minute walk away, you really need to rent a car in Eleuthra - everything is really spread out. We only went out for one meal - lunch at Rainbow Inn - about a 30 minute drive away but fantastic food- we cooked in and enjoyed the laid back atmosphere. The house was clean and well stocked but the best part was the outdoor deck and the beach. Trish and David and all of the neighbours made us feel very welcome. Don't expect to go "clubbing" or out to a fancy restaurant - but do expect to see wonderful sunsets, white sands and clear waters. I would recommend this property to anyone who wants a relaxing holiday in a beautiful setting.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway.

We were looking for a quiet beachfront property: secluded but with amenities. This was so perfect. The home was comfortable with wifi, cable and a well appointed kitchen but it was the the back yard that was spectacular. A few steps to a lovely patio, furnished nicely, and a few more steps to the crystal clear turquoise water of the ocean. The sandy beach is practically private! No vendors. No liter. Just gorgeous. My friend and I never wanted to leave. There are a few places to see like Harbour Island with its pink sandy beach, resorts/restaurants and snorkel/dive trips, but it is the quiet natural beauty of the property that we loved. The property owners were gracious and extremely friendly. They wanted us to enjoy our stay and helped in any way possible to assure we had a great time...and we did!Did you find this review helpful? House was excellent and a perfect spot to enjoy the peace and natural beauty of Eleuthera. Owners were very attentive and made sure we were enjoying our stay. They answered all our many questions and gave us a great local contact for fishing. Great snorkeling from the house and wonderful and relaxing private beach and patio. House had all the amenities you would need and great kitchen for cooking up your fresh catch of the day! I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends or family. We hope to be able to get back soon. We loved Eleuthera and can't wait to come back. We snorkled the Current Cut and it was amazing. We visited several of the beaches (Ben Bay, Twin Sisters) in our rental car and didn't see any other people. Perfect place to relax in paradise. We went to Harbour Island one day and had a blast seeing the island and its beautiful pink sand beaches on a rented golf cart. We have been many places and this was probably one of the best, most relaxing and romantic places we have been. Thanks to David and Trish for sharing your home.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thanks Sandra,we are glad you enjoyed your stay. Please come back. Ken thanks for serving our country and keeping us safe. God bless you my friend. Cheers David and Trish
